# The best Crunchbase alternatives in 2026, sorted by the job you need done

Crunchbase sells funding data, investor data and company profiles under one name. Few alternatives cover all three, so we compared eight by what they return, what they cost and how you reach them.

By Enrich.chat Editorial. Updated October 19, 2026.

**Short answer:** The right Crunchbase alternative depends on the job. For funding rounds and investors, try [Dealroom](https://dealroom.co/pricing-usd), [CB Insights](https://www.cbinsights.com/pricing) or [Tracxn](https://tracxn.com/pricing). For funding fields by API, [Coresignal](https://coresignal.com/pricing/) starts at $49 a month. Enrich.chat, ours, has 10 free lookups a day for company profiles by website, with the latest funding stage but no round history.

## Key takeaways

- Crunchbase Pro costs $49 a month billed annually in year one (list $79) or $99 billed monthly. Business starts at $199, and the API has no public price (checked October 16, 2026).
- Pro allows 2,000 export rows a month and Business 5,000. Crunchbase's REST API comes through sales, with 200 requests a minute and 3 at once per key.
- For funding rounds and investors, Dealroom lists $288 per seat a month for 10 seats, Tracxn has a free Lite plan, and CB Insights and Harmonic publish no price.
- Coresignal ($49 a month), People Data Labs ($100) and Apollo ($49 a seat) return funding fields by API, so they are the closest code-first swaps.
- Enrich.chat has no funding round history, investors, acquisitions or news, only the latest funding stage. It looks up a company by website, so pick it for a profile, not a funding history.

## The verdict

Pick by the job. For funding rounds and investors, Dealroom, CB Insights and Tracxn are the closest swaps. For funding fields in your own code, try Coresignal, People Data Labs or Apollo. **Enrich.chat** is ours and covers a company profile by website, with the latest funding stage: it has no funding round history, investors, acquisitions or news.

- Funding and investor data: Dealroom (Rounds and investors, priced per seat)
- Funding fields by API: Coresignal (Rounds with investors from $49 a month)
- Free first look: Tracxn Lite (Funding data on a free plan, with limits)
- Company profile in an agent: Enrich.chat (By website, latest funding stage only)

## The 8 Crunchbase alternatives, grouped by job

Grouped by the job each one does, not ranked on quality: Enrich.chat first, then four funding data tools, then three company data APIs. Enrich.chat is ours, so read its gaps. Prices come from each vendor's own pages, checked October 16, 2026, except where Vendr's buyer data is named.

### Enrich.chat

Contact and company data for AI agents and apps. A website in returns a company profile, a tech stack and the people there. We make it, and it has no funding round history or investor data.

- Best for: Agents and apps that need a company profile from a website and do not need funding history
- Pricing: Plans from $29 a month with 100,000 credits. A company profile found uses 5 credits, and nothing found uses 0
- Strength: Add the MCP server or paste one prompt into ChatGPT, Claude or Cursor: no key and no account to start
- Strength: Every plan has unlimited seats and bills monthly with no annual contract
- Strength: The people endpoint returns LinkedIn URLs that feed the person endpoint for work emails and mobiles
- Watch out for: No funding round history, investors, acquisitions or news, only the latest stage, so it cannot replace Crunchbase for funding research
- Watch out for: Company lookups take a website, not a company name, and there is no spreadsheet-style table builder
- Watch out for: Bulk runs go through a 25-lookup batch call or a background job of up to 5,000 rows, and SDKs are still planned

### Dealroom

Startup, founder and funding data platform, with a REST API add-on and an MCP connection on higher plans.

- Best for: Teams that research startups, rounds and investors and can buy seats on a yearly plan
- Pricing: Premium $288 per seat a month for 10 seats ($34,500 a year), Premium Plus $383 ($45,900), billed annually with a 3-seat minimum ([Dealroom pricing](https://dealroom.co/pricing-usd), Oct 16, 2026)
- Strength: Funding rounds and investors are the core of the product, not an add-on
- Strength: A REST API as an add-on priced on call volume, and an MCP connection from Premium Plus
- Strength: Export credits per seat: 10,000 on Premium and 30,000 on Premium Plus
- Watch out for: Seats start at 3, and plans bill 12 months up front
- Watch out for: The API costs extra and its price is not published

### CB Insights

Market intelligence platform with company, funding and valuation history, scores and an AI assistant, plus data feeds and an MCP integration.

- Best for: Strategy, corporate development and investor teams with a research budget
- Pricing: No price on its pricing page: all three products say Request pricing. Vendr's buyer data shows a $46,984 median a year, from $24,748 to $184,986 ([CB Insights pricing](https://www.cbinsights.com/pricing) and [Vendr](https://www.vendr.com/marketplace/cb-insights), Oct 16, 2026)
- Strength: Funding and valuation history for companies and investors, plus analyst-built market maps
- Strength: API and data feeds, also sold through the Snowflake Marketplace
- Strength: An MCP integration and a developer portal
- Watch out for: No published price, and Vendr lists annual upfront payment as the standard term
- Watch out for: The pricing page gives no per-lookup or API price

### Tracxn

Startup and private company database with a free Lite plan for personal use and Premium for commercial use.

- Best for: Investors, accelerators and corporate teams that want funding, investor and acquisition data, and a free way to try it
- Pricing: Lite is free. Premium is by quote (Contact Sales), and API and data dump packs are priced by volume ([Tracxn pricing](https://tracxn.com/pricing), Oct 16, 2026)
- Strength: The free Lite plan covers companies, investors, funding rounds and acquisitions
- Strength: Data packs for APIs and data dumps, for internal use or for building commercial tools
- Strength: Each user gets one free analyst query a month, per its FAQ
- Watch out for: Lite is for personal use, and commercial use needs Premium, which has no published price
- Watch out for: Its FAQ bars simultaneous logins on one account, so each person needs a subscription

### Harmonic

Startup database with a console, REST and GraphQL APIs, bulk delivery and an MCP server.

- Best for: Venture, growth and sales teams that source early-stage companies and want the data in their own tools
- Pricing: Pricing is hidden: the console, API and bulk data plans all say Get pricing ([Harmonic pricing](https://harmonic.ai/pricing), Oct 16, 2026)
- Strength: API access with full MCP access for your agents, and a GraphQL option
- Strength: Bulk data to S3, BigQuery or Snowflake, refreshed weekly per its pricing page
- Strength: A sample query on its home page lists rounds with amounts and investors
- Watch out for: Financing and investor data costs extra on the API plan
- Watch out for: No price is published on any plan

### Coresignal

Company, employee and job data APIs sold by the credit, with funding rounds and investors in its multi-source company record.

- Best for: Developers who want funding fields in their own code on a monthly plan
- Pricing: Mini $49 a month for 2,500 credits. A full company record costs 20 credits, so Mini covers 125 ([Coresignal pricing](https://coresignal.com/pricing/), Oct 16, 2026)
- Strength: The [company data dictionary](https://docs.coresignal.com/company-api/multi-source-company-api/data-dictionary-multi-source-company-api) lists funding rounds with investors, amounts and dates
- Strength: Monthly plans from $49, and Pro at $499 for 35,000 credits
- Strength: An [MCP server](https://docs.coresignal.com/integrations/coresignal-mcp) with sign-in that shows the credits each response used
- Watch out for: Mini's 2,500 credits cover only 125 full company records, and 1,000 records need the $499 Pro plan
- Watch out for: The free option is a 7-day trial, not a standing free plan

### People Data Labs

Person and company data APIs with a company plan priced by records, a free tier and a free company dataset.

- Best for: Developers who want company fields, including funding totals, by website, ticker or profile
- Pricing: Company Pro starts at $100 a month for 1,000 records. Premium fields are an add-on with no price listed ([PDL company pricing](https://www.peopledatalabs.com/pricing/company), Oct 16, 2026)
- Strength: A company match needs a name, website, ticker or profile, and [PDL says it charges for matches](https://docs.peopledatalabs.com/docs/reference-company-enrichment-api), so a 404 costs nothing
- Strength: A [free company dataset](https://docs.peopledatalabs.com/docs/free-company-dataset) under CC BY 4.0 with name, website, size, founding year, industry and location
- Watch out for: The round-by-round list with investors is a premium field, sold as an add-on
- Watch out for: Its docs list SDKs in five languages plus Clay, Salesforce, Make and Zapier, and list no MCP server

### Apollo

Sales platform with a company enrichment API that returns funding totals and events, and a free plan.

- Best for: Sales teams that want company data with funding fields next to contacts and outreach
- Pricing: Basic $49 a seat a month billed annually, with 30,000 credits a seat a year. A company enrichment costs 1 credit ([Apollo pricing](https://www.apollo.io/pricing) and [API credits](https://docs.apollo.io/docs/api-pricing), Oct 16, 2026)
- Strength: A company can be identified by [domain, LinkedIn URL, website or name](https://docs.apollo.io/reference/organization-enrichment)
- Strength: Bulk company enrichment of up to 10 companies per call, and an [MCP server](https://docs.apollo.io/docs/apollo-mcp) is documented
- Strength: The Free plan lists API access
- Watch out for: Priced per seat: Basic bills annually, and Organization starts at 3 seats
- Watch out for: The free company enrichment endpoint needs an account registered with a work email

## Who is Crunchbase for, and why do people look elsewhere?

Crunchbase is a database of private companies, sold to investors, sales teams, analysts and founders. [Its Pro page](https://about.crunchbase.com/products/crunchbase-pro) lists funding history, investor data, leadership changes and heat scores, and says the data covers 4M+ private companies. People look elsewhere over price steps, export caps, API access, lookup keys and reviews. Crunchbase's own pages document most of these points.

- **Price steps.** [Crunchbase's pricing page](https://about.crunchbase.com/products/pricing) lists Pro at $49 a month billed annually in year one (list $79), or $99 billed monthly. Business starts at $199 a month billed annually. The API shows no price. [Vendr's buyer data](https://www.vendr.com/marketplace/crunchbase) gives a $20,000 median a year across 71 purchases of all products, and says Enterprise contracts typically start at $50,000 a year. We checked both on October 16, 2026.
- **Export caps.** The same pricing page lists 2,000 export rows a month on Pro and 5,000 on Business, and up to 1,000 results per search.
- **An API sold through sales.** [Crunchbase's API docs](https://data.crunchbase.com/docs/using-the-api) say access comes through its sales team. Each key gets 200 requests a minute and 3 at once, and unless your license says otherwise you may not pass the data to third parties. The [Basic API is no longer offered](https://data.crunchbase.com/docs/crunchbase-basic-getting-started).
- **Lookups by ID, not website.** [Entity lookup](https://data.crunchbase.com/docs/using-entity-lookup-apis) takes a UUID or a permalink. To start from a website, [the API FAQ](https://data.crunchbase.com/docs/api-faqs) says to search by website and choose among the candidates, because one domain can match several records.
- **Agent access per user.** The pricing page FAQ says Crunchbase MCP connects through each user's own Crunchbase login. A shared or unattended agent needs a Custom Data Solution.
- **Mixed reviews.** [Trustpilot](https://www.trustpilot.com/review/crunchbase.com) shows 1.4 out of 5 from 51 reviews, 88% of them one star, mostly about trial billing, renewals and support. Trustpilot adds that Crunchbase has not invited reviews, so the sample may skew. [Crunchbase's own Business page](https://about.crunchbase.com/products/crunchbase-business) quotes 4.5 out of 5 on G2, which blocked our read. In a [May 2024 Hacker News thread](https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=40452058), one founder called the price high and the data patchy, and another said about $100 a month is probably the cheapest of its kind.

None of this makes Crunchbase a poor tool. For API tiers and terms in depth, read our [Crunchbase API pricing guide](https://enrich.chat/blog/crunchbase-api-pricing/).

## Which Crunchbase alternative fits the job you need done?

Crunchbase bundles funding and investor research, company data in your own tools, and a quick free look. Company data splits again: some buyers need funding fields in code, and others need only a profile inside an AI agent. Figure 1 maps each job to the tools in this guide.

**Figure 1: Which Crunchbase alternative fits which job.** A decision map that starts from what you use Crunchbase for and branches to four jobs. Funding and investor data points to Dealroom, CB Insights, Tracxn and Harmonic. Funding data by API points to Coresignal, Apollo and People Data Labs. A profile in an AI agent points to Enrich.chat, which has no funding history. A free first look points to the Crunchbase free account, Tracxn Lite and Apollo Free.

*Which tools cover which job, from each vendor's own pages. Enrich.chat is ours and returns a company profile by website, with the latest funding stage but no round history, investors, acquisitions or news. Sources: [Crunchbase](https://about.crunchbase.com/products/pricing), [Dealroom](https://dealroom.co/pricing-usd), [CB Insights](https://www.cbinsights.com/pricing), [Tracxn](https://tracxn.com/pricing), [Harmonic](https://harmonic.ai/pricing), [Coresignal](https://coresignal.com/pricing/), [People Data Labs](https://www.peopledatalabs.com/pricing/company), [Apollo](https://www.apollo.io/pricing), checked October 16, 2026.*

- **Funding rounds and investor data.** Dealroom, CB Insights, Tracxn and Harmonic sell this as the main product. A poster in the [Hacker News thread](https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=40452058) names PitchBook and CB Insights as the other main competitors. PitchBook's site blocked our automated reads on October 16, 2026, so we state no PitchBook price or feature.
- **Company data by API.** Coresignal, People Data Labs and Apollo return funding fields over an API with public prices. Enrich.chat returns a company profile by website and only the latest funding stage. Our [guide to company data APIs](https://enrich.chat/blog/best-company-data-apis/) compares more providers.
- **A free first look.** Crunchbase's free account, Tracxn Lite and Apollo's Free plan cost nothing, with limits. The free options section below lists them.

If you use Crunchbase to find contacts rather than companies, see our [ZoomInfo alternatives](https://enrich.chat/alternatives/zoominfo/) and [Apollo alternatives](https://enrich.chat/alternatives/apollo/) guides.

## How much do funding data tools cost?

Published yearly prices for funding data run from $588 for one Crunchbase Pro seat to $34,500 for 10 Dealroom seats, and CB Insights and Harmonic publish none. Figure 2 puts list prices and Vendr's buyer data on one log scale.

**Figure 2: Yearly price of funding data tools on a log scale.** Five yearly prices on a log scale from $100 to $100,000. Crunchbase Pro in year one is $588, Crunchbase Business from $2,388, Dealroom Premium for 10 seats $34,500, and the CB Insights median reported by Vendr $46,984. Vendr says Crunchbase Enterprise contracts typically start at $50,000. CB Insights and Harmonic publish no price.

*List prices and Vendr's reported contract values per year. Business is $199 a month billed annually, Dealroom is $288 per seat a month for 10 seats, and Pro is $49 a month billed annually in year one. Enrich.chat has no funding history, so it is not on this chart. Sources: [Crunchbase pricing](https://about.crunchbase.com/products/pricing), [Dealroom pricing](https://dealroom.co/pricing-usd) and Vendr's pages for [CB Insights](https://www.vendr.com/marketplace/cb-insights) and [Crunchbase](https://www.vendr.com/marketplace/crunchbase), checked October 16, 2026.*

[Crunchbase Pro](https://about.crunchbase.com/products/pricing) is the only self-serve price on the chart. [Dealroom](https://dealroom.co/pricing-usd) shows Premium at $288 per seat a month for 10 seats, billed annually with a 3-seat minimum. It lists its API as an add-on priced on call volume.

[CB Insights](https://www.cbinsights.com/pricing) says Request pricing on all three products. [Vendr](https://www.vendr.com/marketplace/cb-insights) gives a $46,984 median a year, with a range of $24,748 to $184,986. [Tracxn](https://tracxn.com/pricing) has a free Lite plan and quotes Premium. [Harmonic](https://harmonic.ai/pricing) says Get pricing on every plan and sells financing and investor data as an add-on. We checked each page on October 16, 2026.

## How much do 1,000 company lookups cost on an API?

For 1,000 company lookups in a month, the smallest published plans run from $29 on Enrich.chat to $499 on Coresignal. The records differ: Coresignal, People Data Labs and Apollo return funding fields, and Enrich.chat returns only the latest funding stage. The table shows what each plan needs.

| API | Smallest plan that covers 1,000 | How it is counted | Funding fields |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Enrich.chat | Growth plan, $29 a month | 5,000 credits, at 5 per company found | Latest stage only |
| [Apollo](https://www.apollo.io/pricing) | Basic, $49 a seat a month billed annually | 1,000 of 30,000 credits a year, at [1 credit per company](https://docs.apollo.io/docs/api-pricing) | Totals, stage, date and funding events |
| [People Data Labs](https://www.peopledatalabs.com/pricing/company) | Company Pro, $100 a month | 1,000 records a month | Totals, stage and date. The round list is a premium field |
| [Coresignal](https://coresignal.com/pricing/) | Pro, $499 a month | 20,000 of 35,000 credits, at 20 credits per full record | Rounds with investors |

Coresignal's $49 Mini plan covers 125 full records (2,500 credits at 20 each), and Apollo's Free plan has 900 credits a seat a year, so neither covers 1,000 lookups in a month. People Data Labs' premium fields and Apollo's annual billing change the bill, so check both before you commit. These are list prices before tax.

On Enrich.chat, a lookup that finds nothing uses 0 credits, and 10 lookups a day are free. See [Enrich.chat pricing](https://enrich.chat/pricing/) for every plan. For the other two, read our guides to [People Data Labs pricing](https://enrich.chat/blog/people-data-labs-pricing/) and the [Apollo API](https://enrich.chat/blog/apollo-api/). Our [firmographic data guide](https://enrich.chat/blog/firmographic-data/) explains fields such as industry, headcount and location.

## Is there a free alternative to Crunchbase?

Yes, with limits. Crunchbase has a free account, Tracxn has a free Lite plan, Apollo and People Data Labs have free tiers, and the SEC publishes Form D data. None replaces a paid funding database in full.

| Option | What you get | The limit |
| --- | --- | --- |
| [Crunchbase free account](https://about.crunchbase.com/products/pricing) | Company profiles, search results, AI research and MCP | Usage limits apply |
| [Tracxn Lite](https://tracxn.com/pricing) | Companies, investors, funding rounds and acquisitions | Personal use, no credit card, usage limits |
| [Apollo Free](https://www.apollo.io/pricing) | 900 credits a seat a year, and a company enrichment costs 1 credit | [The API needs an account registered with a work email](https://docs.apollo.io/reference/organization-enrichment) |
| [People Data Labs](https://www.peopledatalabs.com/pricing/company) | Up to 100 company records a month by API, plus a [free company dataset](https://docs.peopledatalabs.com/docs/free-company-dataset) under CC BY 4.0 | The dataset has names, websites, size, founding year, industry and location, with no funding fields. It updates quarterly |
| [SEC Form D data sets](https://www.sec.gov/data-research/sec-markets-data/form-d-data-sets) | Quarterly downloads of notices of exempt offerings, from 2008 to 2026 | Data as filed, not checked by the SEC, and not a company profile |
| Enrich.chat | 10 lookups a day with no signup | Company profile by website only, with just the latest funding stage |

[Crunchbase's license page](https://data.crunchbase.com/docs/license-agreement) also lists a 2013 snapshot under a CC BY license. It is more than a decade old, so treat it as history. One poster in the Hacker News thread named SEC Form D filings as the first source such databases use.

## When is Crunchbase the better choice?

Crunchbase is the better choice when you need funding history, investor data and growth signals for private companies at a price one person can pay. Enrich.chat cannot replace any of that.

- **Funding research for one analyst.** [Pro costs $49 a month billed annually in year one, or $99 billed monthly](https://about.crunchbase.com/products/pricing), with a 7-day trial. Dealroom needs 3 seats and 12 months up front, and CB Insights and Harmonic publish no price.
- **Funding, investor and leadership data in one place.** [Crunchbase's Pro page](https://about.crunchbase.com/products/crunchbase-pro) lists funding history, investor data and leadership changes. Its [MCP docs](https://data.crunchbase.com/docs/mcp-overview) list funding rounds, people, investors, acquisitions, predictions and insights.
- **Growth scores and forecasts.** Pro lists growth and heat scores, and [Business adds predictions](https://about.crunchbase.com/products/crunchbase-business) on funding, acquisitions and IPOs. We did not test them.
- **Team and CRM features.** The pricing page lists Salesforce, HubSpot, Zapier and Outreach integrations, single sign-on and team management on Business.
- **A free account with MCP.** The free account includes profiles, search and MCP, with usage limits. Pro and Business include MCP too, and you sign in with your own login.

Other tools win in other places. Pick Dealroom for seat-based startup research, Tracxn to try funding data for free, and Coresignal when you want funding rounds in your own code. Enrich.chat fits when an agent needs a company profile by website and no funding history.

## How do you look up a company's profile from an AI agent with Enrich.chat?

Enrich.chat is ours, so read the limits below. Paste one prompt into ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor or any agent that can make web requests, or add the MCP server at `enrich.chat/mcp`, which needs no key. The agent calls `GET /v1/company` with a website and gets the profile back.

```text
Use www.enrich.chat to look up each company website in my list, one request a second. Return the name, industry, size band, state, country and tech stack. Say not found when there is no result, do not add funding rounds, investors or news, and tell me the total credits used: [paste websites]
```

Behind that prompt, your agent sends a plain GET request like this one:

```
GET https://enrich.chat/v1/company?domain=acme.com
{
  "found": true,
  "id": "org_7Qw2eRt5YuI9oPaS",
  "name": "Acme Logistics",
  "domain": "acme.com",
  "industry": "Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain and Storage",
  "size": "201-500",
  "employees_on_linkedin": 420,
  "revenue": "10M-50M",
  "founded": 2009,
  "state": "Texas",
  "country": "United States",
  "funding": {"stage": "Series A", "date": "2023-05-01"},
  "credits_used": 5,
  "free_lookups_remaining": 9
}
```

A profile found uses 5 credits, and a lookup with `found` false uses 0. Each IP address gets 10 free lookups a day with no signup, and plans start at $29 a month for 100,000 credits. When the free lookups run out, the API returns 402 with a link to [your account page](https://enrich.chat/account/), where you log in with your email, pick a plan and pay at checkout. A second call, `GET /v1/company/tech`, returns the tech stack. The free [tech stack lookup](https://enrich.chat/tools/tech-stack-lookup/) shows it.

**Figure 3: What a company lookup on Enrich.chat covers and what it leaves out.** Two panels. The first lists what Enrich.chat returns: name, domain and industry, size and revenue bands, location and founded year, the latest funding stage, plus a tech stack and the people at the company from two more calls. The second lists what it does not return: funding round history, round amounts, investors, acquisitions, news and valuation history, and points to Dealroom, CB Insights, Tracxn and Harmonic for those.

*What a company lookup on Enrich.chat returns, and the data it leaves to other tools. Sources: [the Enrich.chat agent guide](https://enrich.chat/agents.md) and [Crunchbase's MCP overview](https://data.crunchbase.com/docs/mcp-overview), which lists funding rounds, investors and acquisitions among its data.*

### What does Enrich.chat not do?

- It has no funding round history, investors, acquisitions or news, only the latest funding stage, so it cannot replace Crunchbase for funding research.
- It takes a website, a LinkedIn company page or a company_id, not a company name. Revenue is a band, not an exact figure, and `employees_on_linkedin` is a signal for size, not an exact headcount.
- It has no spreadsheet-style table builder like Clay's. [Company search](https://enrich.chat/features/company-search/) and `/v1/companies` can filter by funding stage, total funding, investor name, size and industry, but return no round history or investor list.
- It batches up to 25 lookups per call. A [background job](https://enrich.chat/features/background-jobs/) from Bulk enrich keeps going after you close the tab, but it holds at most 5,000 rows and keeps results 30 days. SDKs are planned.
- Like every source here, a result is a lead to check, not a guarantee.

To go from a company to its buyers, pair it with the [company enrichment API](https://enrich.chat/api/company-enrichment/), which also lists the people at the company. The [guide to Enrich.chat for AI agents](https://enrich.chat/agents/) covers setup, and the [install page](https://enrich.chat/install/) has one-click MCP links. Anyone can opt out at [enrich.chat/opt-out](https://enrich.chat/opt-out/), and you stay responsible for TCPA, CAN-SPAM and GDPR rules. See our [terms](https://enrich.chat/terms/).

## Frequently asked questions

### What is the best alternative to Crunchbase?

It depends on the part of Crunchbase you use. For funding rounds and investors, try [Dealroom](https://dealroom.co/pricing-usd), [CB Insights](https://www.cbinsights.com/pricing) or [Tracxn](https://tracxn.com/pricing). For funding fields through an API, [Coresignal](https://coresignal.com/pricing/) starts at $49 a month, [People Data Labs](https://www.peopledatalabs.com/pricing/company) at $100 and [Apollo](https://www.apollo.io/pricing) at $49 a seat. For a company profile by website inside an AI agent, Enrich.chat has 10 free lookups a day but only the latest funding stage. We checked prices on October 16, 2026.

### Is there a free alternative to Crunchbase?

Several tools have free routes with limits. [Crunchbase's own free account](https://about.crunchbase.com/products/pricing) shows profiles and search results. [Tracxn Lite](https://tracxn.com/pricing) is free for personal use, and [Apollo's Free plan](https://www.apollo.io/pricing) gives 900 credits a seat a year. [People Data Labs](https://docs.peopledatalabs.com/docs/free-company-dataset) publishes a free company dataset without funding fields. Enrich.chat gives 10 lookups a day with no signup, for company profiles only.

### Is there a Crunchbase alternative with an API?

Yes. [Coresignal](https://coresignal.com/pricing/), [People Data Labs](https://www.peopledatalabs.com/pricing/company) and [Apollo](https://www.apollo.io/pricing) sell funding fields through APIs with public prices. Dealroom, CB Insights, Tracxn and Harmonic offer APIs too, but their prices come by quote or as add-ons. [Crunchbase's own REST API](https://data.crunchbase.com/docs/using-the-api) is sold through its sales team, with 200 requests a minute and 3 at once per key. Enrich.chat has a plain API with no key to start, but only the latest funding stage and no round history.

### How much does Crunchbase cost?

[Crunchbase Pro](https://about.crunchbase.com/products/pricing) costs $49 a month billed annually in the first year (list $79), or $99 billed monthly. Business starts at $199 a month billed annually. The API and custom data plans show no price, and [Vendr's buyer data](https://www.vendr.com/marketplace/crunchbase) gives a $20,000 median a year across all products. We checked on October 16, 2026. Our [Crunchbase API pricing guide](https://enrich.chat/blog/crunchbase-api-pricing/) covers API terms.

### Does Enrich.chat have funding or investor data?

Only the latest funding stage. Enrich.chat returns it, where we have one, with a company's name, domain, industry, size and revenue bands, founded year and location, plus its tech stack and the people there. It has no funding round history, investors, acquisitions or news, and it looks companies up by website, not by name. If you need funding history, pick one of the tools above. The [company enrichment API](https://enrich.chat/api/company-enrichment/) page lists every field it returns.

### Does Crunchbase have an MCP server for AI agents?

Yes. [Crunchbase's pricing page](https://about.crunchbase.com/products/pricing) says MCP is included in Pro and Business with usage limits, and users connect with their own Crunchbase login. A shared or unattended agent needs a Custom Data Solution. The Enrich.chat MCP server at enrich.chat/mcp needs no key and returns company profiles, tech stacks and people, with no funding history. See the [install page](https://enrich.chat/install/).
