# The best People Data Labs alternatives in 2026, compared on endpoints, auth, bulk and price

People Data Labs starts at $98 a month and hides contact values on its free plan. We compared eight alternatives on what developers check first: endpoints, auth, response fields, bulk limits, MCP support and cost.

By Enrich.chat Editorial. Updated October 15, 2026.

**Short answer:** The best People Data Labs alternatives for developers are Enrich.chat for work emails and mobiles inside an agent or app, Coresignal for bulk employee and company data, Crustdata for search-first enrichment, and Apollo, ZoomInfo GTM AI, FullEnrich, Explorium and Enrich Layer. [PDL's Pro plan starts at $98 a month](https://www.peopledatalabs.com/pricing/person) for 350 credits. Enrich.chat starts with 10 lookups a day, no signup.

## Key takeaways

- PDL's Pro plan starts at $98 a month for 350 credits, and its Free plan hides emails, phones and addresses.
- PDL's docs list SDKs in five languages and a bulk endpoint of up to 100 people per request, and no MCP server.
- Every alternative here documents an MCP server. Bulk limits run from 10 people per request on Apollo to 10,000 records per async job on Coresignal.
- For 1,000 work emails a month at list price, costs run from $29 on Enrich.chat to $499 on Coresignal, with PDL at $280.
- Enrich.chat has no bulk endpoint and no SDK yet, and its company lookups take a domain, not a company name.

## The verdict

For developers who want contact data inside an AI agent or app, **Enrich.chat** is the simplest swap for People Data Labs lookups: no key to start, a status on every email and mobile, and credits spent only on finds. For full profile records, field-level search or bulk files, PDL and Coresignal remain the stronger fit.

- Best overall: Enrich.chat (No key to start, monthly plans, a status on each email)
- Best for bulk data: Coresignal (Free search and bulk collect up to 10,000 records)
- Best for search-first enrichment: Crustdata (Search from 0.03 credits a result, enrich the few you keep)
- Best for data plus outreach: Apollo (People search is free, with sequences in the same seat)

## Why do developers look for a People Data Labs alternative?

Common reasons to look past People Data Labs (PDL) are plan rules, missing email status, update timing and agent support, and PDL's own pages document each one. PDL is still a strong API, and we list where it wins below. Our [People Data Labs pricing guide](https://enrich.chat/blog/people-data-labs-pricing/) covers every plan.

- **Contact values need a paid plan.** PDL's Free plan gives up to 100 credits a month and hides emails, phones and addresses. Pro starts at $98 a month for 350 credits, per [PDL's person pricing page](https://www.peopledatalabs.com/pricing/person).
- **Each product is its own plan.** Company data is a separate Pro plan that starts at $100 a month for 1,000 records, per [PDL's company pricing page](https://www.peopledatalabs.com/pricing/company).
- **Emails come without a status.** In the [Person Schema](https://docs.peopledatalabs.com/docs/fields), `work_email` is a plain string. PDL's [email outreach guide](https://docs.peopledatalabs.com/docs/email-data-for-outreach) tells you to validate emails at least once a quarter.
- **API data updates monthly.** PDL's [data updates page](https://docs.peopledatalabs.com/docs/data-updates) lists monthly updates for its API, and monthly or quarterly updates for data license files.
- **No MCP server is documented.** PDL's [docs index](https://docs.peopledatalabs.com/llms.txt) lists SDKs for Python, JavaScript, Ruby, Go and Rust, and no MCP server. Its [LLM resource guide](https://www.peopledatalabs.com/llms.txt) names REST APIs, data license feeds, Snowflake and Databricks sharing, Zapier and Make.
- **Bulk data means Enterprise.** Data license feeds and SSO sit on custom annual contracts, per [PDL's pricing page](https://www.peopledatalabs.com/pricing/person).

## How does a People Data Labs request map to Enrich.chat?

A PDL Person Enrichment call becomes one Enrich.chat GET request, with a LinkedIn URL, an email, or a name plus company website. Figure 1 shows the same lookup on both APIs.

**Figure 1: The same lookup on People Data Labs and on Enrich.chat.** A side by side of one lookup by profile URL. People Data Labs takes a GET request to /v5/person/enrich with an X-Api-Key header, min_likelihood and required parameters, and returns status, likelihood and data fields where work_email is a plain string with no status; it bills 1 credit for a 200 and nothing for a 404. Enrich.chat takes a GET request to /v1/person with a linkedin_url and fields=email, needs no key on the free tier, and returns found, work_email with a value and a status, credits_used and free_lookups_remaining; it bills 10 credits for the email and 0 for a miss.

*The same lookup by profile URL on both APIs. PDL bills a 200 response and not a 404, and its email comes back as a plain string. Enrich.chat returns a status on the email and reports the credits each call used. Sources: [PDL's Person Enrichment reference](https://docs.peopledatalabs.com/docs/reference-person-enrichment-api), [Person Schema](https://docs.peopledatalabs.com/docs/fields) and [Enrich.chat agents.md](https://enrich.chat/agents.md).*

PDL's [authentication docs](https://docs.peopledatalabs.com/docs/authentication) take the key in an `X-Api-Key` header or an `api_key` parameter. Enrich.chat's first 10 lookups a day need no key and no signup, so you can test from a plain curl command. Paid plans use a key that starts with `pp_`. Enrich.chat has no SDK yet, and SDKs are planned, but plain HTTPS GET works from any language. This table maps each PDL endpoint:

| PDL endpoint | What it takes | Enrich.chat call |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Person Enrichment `/v5/person/enrich` | A profile URL, email, phone, or a name plus company | `GET /v1/person` with `linkedin_url`, `email` or `name` plus a company website, and `fields=email,mobile,profile` |
| Bulk Person Enrichment `POST /v5/person/bulk` | Up to 100 people per request | No equivalent. Send one request per person |
| Person Search `/v5/person/search` | An SQL or Elasticsearch query, 1 to 100 records a page | `GET /v1/search?q=` in plain English, with filters such as `title`, `seniority`, `industry`, `country` and `company_domain`. `limit` is 1 to 25 |
| Person Identify `/v5/person/identify` | Loose inputs, up to 20 ranked candidates | No equivalent |
| Company Enrichment `/v5/company/enrich` | A name, website, ticker or profile | `GET /v1/company?domain=` and `GET /v1/company/tech?domain=`. Company names are not supported yet |
| Company Search `/v5/company/search` | A query over company fields | No company search. `GET /v1/company/people?domain=&title=` lists people at one company |

PDL's endpoint facts come from its [enrichment](https://docs.peopledatalabs.com/docs/reference-person-enrichment-api), [search](https://docs.peopledatalabs.com/docs/reference-person-search-api) and [identify](https://docs.peopledatalabs.com/docs/reference-person-identify-api) references. For every Enrich.chat field, see the [person enrichment API](https://enrich.chat/api/person-enrichment/), [people search API](https://enrich.chat/api/people-search/) and [company enrichment API](https://enrich.chat/api/company-enrichment/) pages.

## How do the alternatives compare on auth, bulk limits and MCP support?

Every alternative here lists an MCP server, and PDL does not. Bulk limits run from 10 people per request on Apollo to 10,000 records per async job on Coresignal and Explorium. The table gives each API's auth, bulk limit and MCP setup, from each vendor's own docs.

| API | Auth | Bulk | MCP server |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Enrich.chat | No key for the free lookups. Paid plans use a `pp_` key | None. One request per person | `enrich.chat/mcp`, no key |
| People Data Labs | [`X-Api-Key` header](https://docs.peopledatalabs.com/docs/authentication) or `api_key` parameter | [POST, up to 100 per request](https://docs.peopledatalabs.com/docs/bulk-enrichment-api) | None in its docs |
| Coresignal | [`apikey` header](https://docs.coresignal.com/api-introduction/authorization) | [Bulk Collect, up to 10,000 records, async file](https://docs.coresignal.com/api-introduction/requests/bulk-collect) | [OAuth 2.1 sign-in](https://docs.coresignal.com/integrations/coresignal-mcp) |
| Crustdata | [Bearer token and `x-api-version` header](https://docs.crustdata.com/openapi-specs/2025-11-01/introduction) | [Batch jobs, up to 300 URLs on Enterprise](https://docs.crustdata.com/person-docs/contact/batch) | [Account sign-in](https://docs.crustdata.com/for-agents/mcp) |
| Apollo API | [`x-api-key` header](https://docs.apollo.io/docs/create-api-key) | [Up to 10 people per request](https://docs.apollo.io/reference/bulk-people-enrichment) | [OAuth 2.0, or an API key](https://docs.apollo.io/docs/apollo-mcp) |
| ZoomInfo GTM AI | [OAuth 2.0 client credentials](https://docs.gtm.ai/docs/client-credentials-flow) | [Up to 25 contacts per request](https://docs.gtm.ai/reference/enrichinterface_enrichcontact) | [OAuth sign-in, license needed](https://docs.gtm.ai/docs/connect-to-zoominfo-mcp) |
| FullEnrich | [Bearer API key](https://docs.fullenrich.com/api/v2/general/authentication) | [Up to 100 per request, results by webhook](https://docs.fullenrich.com/api/v2/contact/enrich/bulk/post) | [Included in Pro](https://fullenrich.com/pricing) |
| Explorium | [`api_key` header](https://developers.explorium.ai/v2/overview) | [50 sync, 10,000 async](https://developers.explorium.ai/v2/conventions) | [API key](https://developers.explorium.ai/mcp-docs/v2/agentsource-mcp) |
| Enrich Layer | [Bearer API key](https://enrichlayer.com/agents.md) | [None documented](https://enrichlayer.com/docs/guides/rate-limits) | [OAuth, then your API key](https://enrichlayer.com/agents.md) |

Several of these return emails, mobiles or large batches later, by webhook or file. FullEnrich, Apollo's mobile reveal and Enrich Layer's work email lookup all work that way, so you need a receiver or a poll loop. Enrich.chat answers in the same response. For the Apollo flow in detail, see our [Apollo API guide](https://enrich.chat/blog/apollo-api/).

## How much do 1,000 work emails a month cost on PDL and its alternatives?

For 1,000 work emails a month at list prices, the cost runs from $29 on Enrich.chat to $499 on Coresignal. PDL's entry rate puts the same job at $280. Figure 2 shows the cheapest published purchase that covers it on each API.

**Figure 2: Monthly cost of 1,000 work emails on People Data Labs and seven alternatives.** List price of the cheapest published purchase that covers 1,000 work emails in one month: Enrich.chat $29 on the Growth plan, FullEnrich $55, Apollo $65 for one Basic seat billed monthly, Enrich Layer $100 for a credit pack, Explorium $149.99 for the Starter pack, People Data Labs $280, ZoomInfo GTM AI $380 to $430 and Coresignal $499 on the Pro plan.

*The cheapest published purchase that covers 1,000 work emails in one month, at list price. The Enrich.chat bar is the Growth plan, which covers the 10,000 credits these emails need. ZoomInfo GTM AI cuts its price per credit with volume, so its bar shows $0.38 a credit with a dashed range up to the $0.43 implied by its 500-credit example. Crustdata lists no dollar price per credit and is not shown. Arithmetic is ours, from each vendor's pricing page and docs, checked October 15, 2026. Sources: [Enrich.chat](https://enrich.chat/pricing/), [FullEnrich](https://fullenrich.com/pricing), [Apollo](https://www.apollo.io/pricing), [Enrich Layer](https://enrichlayer.com/pricing), [Explorium](https://www.explorium.ai/pricing), [PDL](https://www.peopledatalabs.com/pricing/person), [GTM AI](https://gtm.ai/pricing) and [Coresignal](https://coresignal.com/pricing/).*

Each number comes from the vendor's pricing page and docs on October 15, 2026, and the arithmetic is ours:

- **Enrich.chat:** 1,000 work emails at 10 credits is 10,000 credits, which fits the Growth plan at $29. A lookup that finds nothing uses 0 credits.
- **FullEnrich:** a work email costs [1 credit](https://docs.fullenrich.com/api/v2/general/credit), and [Pro](https://fullenrich.com/pricing) is $55 for 1,000 credits.
- **Apollo:** an email costs [1 credit](https://docs.apollo.io/docs/api-pricing). A Basic seat billed monthly is $65 for 2,500 credits, per [Apollo's pricing page](https://www.apollo.io/pricing). Billed annually, it is $49 a seat a month.
- **Enrich Layer:** a [work email lookup](https://enrichlayer.com/docs/api/v2/contact-api/work-email-lookup) costs 3 credits, so 1,000 emails need 3,000. A $100 pack holds 3,788 credits, per [its pricing page](https://enrichlayer.com/pricing).
- **Explorium:** an [email-only enrichment](https://developers.explorium.ai/v2/prospects/enrichments/contact_information_enrich) costs 2 credits, so you need 2,000. The $149.99 Starter pack holds 5,000, per [Explorium's pricing page](https://www.explorium.ai/pricing).
- **People Data Labs:** [$98 for 350 credits](https://www.peopledatalabs.com/pricing/person) is $0.28 a credit, so 1,000 credits cost $280. Set `required=work_email`, and a record without an email returns a free 404, per [PDL's input docs](https://docs.peopledatalabs.com/docs/input-parameters-person-enrichment-api).
- **ZoomInfo GTM AI:** a record costs 1 data credit, which is $0.38 at the 5,000-credit tier. Its [pricing page](https://gtm.ai/pricing) shows 500 credits for $215, so 1,000 land between $380 and $430.
- **Coresignal:** an email from the [Contact Enrichment API](https://docs.coresignal.com/employee-data/api/contact-enrichment-api) costs 10 credits, plus 20 to collect the employee record that holds the ID. That is 30,000 credits, which needs the $499 Pro plan with 35,000, per [its pricing docs](https://docs.coresignal.com/pricing/pricing).
- **Not shown:** [Crustdata](https://crustdata.com/pricing) lists a profile plus work email at 2 credits but gives no dollar price per credit.

The units differ. A PDL credit buys a whole record, an Enrich.chat credit buys one field, and Explorium and Coresignal price each step, so compare dollars as the figure does. With 10 lookups a day on the free tier, you can test Enrich.chat before you pick a plan. See [Enrich.chat pricing](https://enrich.chat/pricing/) for the plan rates.

## Which People Data Labs alternative should you choose?

Choose by job. Enrich.chat fits contact data that goes into an agent or an app. Coresignal and Explorium fit data pipelines, Crustdata fits search-first enrichment, and Apollo and ZoomInfo GTM AI fit teams that want a sales platform behind the API.

**Figure 3: Which People Data Labs alternative fits which need.** Eight needs and the alternative that fits each: contact data inside an AI agent or app points to Enrich.chat, bulk employee and company data to Coresignal, search first and enrich a few to Crustdata, ZoomInfo data on a self-serve credit plan to ZoomInfo GTM AI, data and sequences in one seat to Apollo, email and mobile finds in bulk to FullEnrich, company signals and contacts to Explorium, and a profile URL API sold in credit packs to Enrich Layer.

*Which alternative fits which need. Fit is drawn from each vendor's own pages, checked October 15, 2026: [Coresignal](https://coresignal.com/pricing/), [Crustdata](https://crustdata.com/pricing), [Apollo](https://www.apollo.io/pricing), [ZoomInfo GTM AI](https://gtm.ai/pricing), [FullEnrich](https://fullenrich.com/pricing), [Explorium](https://www.explorium.ai/pricing), [Enrich Layer](https://enrichlayer.com/pricing) and [Enrich.chat](https://enrich.chat/pricing/).*

## When is People Data Labs the better choice?

PDL is the better choice when you want the data itself, wide profile fields or field-level search. Pick PDL if:

- You want bulk files. PDL's annual [data licenses](https://docs.peopledatalabs.com/docs/data-license) deliver whole datasets or custom subsets. Enrich.chat is an API.
- You need work history, education and skills. PDL's [Person Schema](https://docs.peopledatalabs.com/docs/fields) has fields for each. Enrich.chat's person response covers the current job and contact fields.
- You search on any field. [Person Search](https://docs.peopledatalabs.com/docs/reference-person-search-api) takes an SQL or Elasticsearch query and returns 1 to 100 records a page.
- You want SDKs. PDL lists [SDKs for five languages](https://docs.peopledatalabs.com/llms.txt). Enrich.chat's SDKs are planned.
- You resolve identities. [Person Identify](https://docs.peopledatalabs.com/docs/reference-person-identify-api) returns up to 20 candidates ranked by match score.

Enrich.chat has gaps to weigh. It has no bulk endpoint, so a list is one request per row. Company lookups take a domain, and company names are not supported yet. It has no visual builder or CSV upload screen, and no sequencing. Choose Enrich.chat when the lookups come from an agent or your own code, and you want to start without a key.

## How do you run PDL-style lookups from an AI agent?

Add Enrich.chat's remote MCP server at `enrich.chat/mcp` (one-click links are on the [install page](https://enrich.chat/install/)), or paste one prompt into ChatGPT, Claude or Cursor so the agent reads [agents.md](https://enrich.chat/agents.md). The first 10 lookups each day need no key. Paste this to replace Person Enrichment calls:

```text
Use www.enrich.chat to replace my People Data Labs person enrichment calls. For each row, use the LinkedIn URL, or the name and company website, to find the work email and the profile. Mark catch_all emails as risky, mark misses as not found, and tell me the total credits_used: [paste rows]
```

The agent returns your rows with new columns and the total `credits_used`. Each work email carries a status of `verified`, `catch_all` or `unknown`. Treat every contact as a strong lead, not a guarantee. The free [catch-all checker](https://enrich.chat/tools/catch-all-checker/) shows why some domains never reach verified.

In your own code, loop over the rows. There is no bulk endpoint, so pace the requests and honor `retry_after` on a 429:

```
import time
import requests
URL = "https://enrich.chat/v1/person"
def lookup(linkedin_url):
    params = {"linkedin_url": linkedin_url, "fields": "email,profile"}
    while True:
        r = requests.get(URL, params=params, timeout=30)
        if r.status_code == 429:        # too fast: wait, then retry
On a paid plan, add your key as an `Authorization: Bearer pp_...` header. People can opt out at [enrich.chat/opt-out](https://enrich.chat/opt-out/), and you stay responsible for TCPA, CAN-SPAM and GDPR rules. The [guide to data enrichment](https://enrich.chat/blog/what-is-data-enrichment/) explains the basics.
## Frequently asked questions
### What is the best alternative to People Data Labs?
It depends on what you buy PDL for. For work emails and mobiles inside an AI agent or app, Enrich.chat fits best: no key for the first 10 lookups a day, then monthly plans from $29. For bulk employee and company data, [Coresignal](https://coresignal.com/pricing/) starts at $49 a month. For search-first enrichment, try [Crustdata](https://crustdata.com/pricing). For a sales app with an API, [Apollo](https://www.apollo.io/pricing) starts at $49 a seat a month. We checked each price on October 15, 2026.
### Does People Data Labs have an MCP server?
Not in its own docs. PDL's [documentation index](https://docs.peopledatalabs.com/llms.txt) lists SDKs for Python, JavaScript, Ruby, Go and Rust and no MCP server, and its [LLM resource guide](https://www.peopledatalabs.com/llms.txt) names REST APIs, data licenses, data sharing, Zapier and Make. Coresignal, Crustdata, Apollo, ZoomInfo GTM AI, FullEnrich, Explorium and Enrich Layer all document one. So does Enrich.chat, at `enrich.chat/mcp` with no key, per its [install page](https://enrich.chat/install/).
### Is there a free alternative to People Data Labs?
Several alternatives have a free tier, and they differ. Enrich.chat gives each IP address 10 lookups a day with no signup. [Apollo's Free plan](https://www.apollo.io/pricing) has 900 credits a seat a year. [ZoomInfo GTM AI](https://gtm.ai/pricing) gives 1,000 data credits at signup, [Enrich Layer](https://enrichlayer.com/pricing) 500 credits, [Explorium](https://www.explorium.ai/pricing) 100 credits for 90 days, and [Crustdata](https://crustdata.com/pricing) $20 in credits. PDL gives 100 credits a month with contact values hidden.
### Which People Data Labs alternatives offer bulk enrichment?
[Coresignal's Bulk Collect](https://docs.coresignal.com/api-introduction/requests/bulk-collect) takes up to 10,000 records as an async job. [FullEnrich](https://docs.fullenrich.com/api/v2/contact/enrich/bulk/post) takes 100 contacts per request, [Explorium](https://developers.explorium.ai/v2/conventions) 50 per call or 10,000 per async job, and [ZoomInfo](https://docs.gtm.ai/reference/enrichinterface_enrichcontact) 25. [Apollo](https://docs.apollo.io/reference/bulk-people-enrichment) takes 10 and PDL 100. Enrich.chat and Enrich Layer have no bulk endpoint, so you send one request per person.
### How do People Data Labs credits compare with Enrich.chat credits?
A PDL credit buys one matched record: [PDL's $98 for 350 credits](https://www.peopledatalabs.com/pricing/person) works out to $0.28 each. An Enrich.chat credit is spent per field: 10 credits for a work email, 250 for a mobile and 5 for a profile, and 0 when nothing is found. A work email costs $0.0029 on the Growth plan. See the [Enrich.chat pricing page](https://enrich.chat/pricing/) for every plan.
### How often is People Data Labs data updated?
[PDL's data updates page](https://docs.peopledatalabs.com/docs/data-updates) says API data updates monthly and data license files monthly or quarterly. Other vendors make their own claims: [Crustdata says](https://crustdata.com/pricing) its records refresh every 1 to 30 days, and [Coresignal says](https://coresignal.com/pricing/) it updates API records in real time. These are vendor statements, not tests. Ask any vendor for a last-updated field, such as PDL's `job_last_verified`.
