# The best RocketReach alternatives in 2026, compared on what you actually pay

RocketReach bills by lookups and exports on a monthly or yearly plan. We compared six alternatives on billing, phone numbers, API access and AI agent support, using each vendor's own pricing page.

By Enrich.chat Editorial. Updated October 15, 2026.

**Short answer:** The best RocketReach alternatives in 2026 are Enrich.chat for AI agents and apps, Apollo for an all-in-one sales tool, ContactOut and Lusha for phone numbers, and Hunter for emails only. [RocketReach costs $69 to $209 a month](https://rocketreach.co/pricing), or $399 to $1,699 a year, and its API lookups draw on a capped pool of exports. Enrich.chat sells monthly credit plans from $29 with unlimited seats, and spends credits only on the emails and mobiles it finds.

## Key takeaways

- RocketReach's US plans cost $69 to $209 a month on monthly billing, or $399 to $1,699 a year on yearly billing. Custom team plans start at $6,000 a year.
- Yearly RocketReach plans include unlimited lookups (fair use: 10,000 a month) but cap exports at 1,200 to 20,000 a year. API lookups, bulk lookups and CRM pushes all use exports.
- For 500 contacts a month with email and mobile, subscription list prices on monthly billing run from $99 (ContactOut, no API) to $399.90 (Lusha). RocketReach needs Ultimate at $209.
- On Enrich.chat the same 500 contacts need 130,000 credits a month, which fits the Scale plan at $90 a month, with unlimited seats and 0 credits spent on misses.
- RocketReach is the better pick when one person works in its web app, wants CRM or Bullhorn integrations, and prefers a fixed yearly bill.

## The verdict

For people who want contact data inside an AI agent or their own app, **Enrich.chat** is the simplest RocketReach alternative: one prompt, unlimited seats, and credits spent only on the emails and mobiles it finds.

- Best for agents and apps: Enrich.chat (One prompt, credit plans from $29 a month)
- Best all-in-one sales tool: Apollo (Data, sequences and a dialer in one seat)
- Best flat price for phones: ContactOut (Email + Phone for $99 a month, no API)
- Best for emails only: Hunter (Misses are free, unlimited users)

## How does RocketReach pricing work?

RocketReach sells three self-serve plans, Essentials, Pro and Ultimate, each billed monthly or yearly. Yearly billing costs 32% to 52% less per month, and it swaps a monthly lookup allowance for unlimited lookups with a cap on exports. These are the US prices on [RocketReach's pricing page](https://rocketreach.co/pricing) on October 15, 2026. RocketReach shows local prices in some countries, so yours may differ.

| Plan | Billed monthly | Billed yearly |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Essentials Email only | $69 a month 100 lookups, 100 exports | $399 a year ($33 a month) Unlimited lookups, 1,200 exports |
| Pro Email and phone | $119 a month 250 lookups, 250 exports | $899 a year ($75 a month) Unlimited lookups, 3,600 exports |
| Ultimate Email and phone | $209 a month 1,000 lookups, 1,000 exports | $1,699 a year ($142 a month) Unlimited lookups, 20,000 exports |
| Custom team | Through sales | From $6,000 a year |

Every RocketReach plan includes MCP and API access, a Chrome extension, sequences and up to 500 emails a day. Pro adds phone numbers and integrations with Salesforce, HubSpot, Outreach, Salesloft and Bullhorn. Ultimate adds intent data and healthcare data. Free accounts get 3 lookups with no credit card, per its pricing FAQ.

### What is the difference between a RocketReach lookup and an export?

A lookup reveals a person's contact data and saves it inside RocketReach. An export moves that data out of RocketReach. The [Unlimited Credits FAQ](https://rocketreach.co/resources/unlimitedcredits-faq/) lists what counts as an export: API lookups, bulk lookups, CSV downloads, list uploads and pushes to a CRM.

That rule matters if you want contact data in an AI agent or your own app. [RocketReach's MCP documentation](https://docs.rocketreach.co/reference/mcp) says each person lookup uses 1 lookup credit and 1 person export credit. So the "unlimited" yearly Pro plan lets an agent pull at most 3,600 contacts a year, about 300 a month. Yearly lookups also carry a fair use limit of 10,000 a month.

**Figure 1: One agent lookup on RocketReach and on Enrich.chat.** On RocketReach Pro billed yearly, one person lookup from an agent uses one lookup credit, which is unlimited within a fair use limit of 10,000 a month, and one export credit, of which the plan includes 3,600 a year. On Enrich.chat, one lookup spends credits per field found, from 10 credits for an email to 250 credits for a mobile, and a lookup with no match uses 0 credits.

*On RocketReach, an agent lookup spends a lookup and an export, and exports are capped by plan. On Enrich.chat, a lookup spends credits per field found, and misses use 0 credits. Sources: [RocketReach MCP docs](https://docs.rocketreach.co/reference/mcp), [RocketReach Unlimited Credits FAQ](https://rocketreach.co/resources/unlimitedcredits-faq/), [RocketReach pricing](https://rocketreach.co/pricing), [Enrich.chat agents.md](https://enrich.chat/agents.md).*

RocketReach does not charge for empty results. Its pricing FAQ says a lookup is used only if it finds and verifies an email or phone, and is refunded otherwise. The plan fee is fixed, though, and you prepay it: a cancellation takes effect when the current term ends. API speed is capped by plan too. On Essentials, [person lookups are limited](https://docs.rocketreach.co/reference/rate-limits) to 15 a minute, 500 a day and 5,000 a month.

## What do RocketReach users like and dislike?

Reviewers like RocketReach's ease of use and direct contact details, and their most common complaint is outdated or missing data. RocketReach holds a 4.4 out of 5 rating from 1,385 reviews on G2. [G2's summary of those reviews](https://www.g2.com/products/rocketreach/reviews?qs=pros-and-cons) counted these themes on October 15, 2026:

- **Praise:** accurate, direct contact information (273 mentions) and ease of use (266 mentions). Reviewers like pasting a LinkedIn profile to find the person.
- **Complaints:** inaccurate data (115 mentions), outdated contacts (110 mentions) and missing information (75 mentions). Some reviewers say emails bounced.

RocketReach says on its [pricing page](https://rocketreach.co/pricing) that its data is verified on demand with 98% accuracy. Users on Reddit raise price as well as data. In [an r/marketing thread](https://www.reddit.com/r/marketing/comments/xchl55/anything_better_than_rocketreach_and_apolloio/), a buyer asked for a tool with more users for less money than RocketReach. In [an r/LeadGeneration thread](https://www.reddit.com/r/LeadGeneration/comments/1cdlsdl/any_good_tools_for_finding_b2b_email_ids_used/), a past user asked for something better, and replies pointed to Hunter and to [waterfall enrichment](https://enrich.chat/blog/waterfall-enrichment/) tools.

Stale data is partly a timing problem. People change jobs, and a record checked months ago may not hold. Enrich.chat returns a status with each field: an email is verified, catch_all or unknown, and a mobile's line type is mobile or unknown. The line type describes the number, not whether the person still answers it. To test data you already hold, use the free [phone number validator](https://enrich.chat/tools/phone-number-validator/) and [catch-all checker](https://enrich.chat/tools/catch-all-checker/).

## What should a RocketReach alternative do better?

A good alternative charges for results, not for seats, and lets your tools call it without a second meter. Sites like RocketReach fall into three groups: all-in-one sales platforms such as Apollo, extension-first finders such as Lusha, ContactOut, SignalHire and Hunter, and APIs built for agents and apps such as Enrich.chat. Check six things before you switch:

1. **The billing unit.** Ask what one contact costs, and whether a miss costs anything. [Lusha's API](https://docs.lusha.com/user-guide/usage-analytics/how-credits-are-counted), for example, charges at least 1 credit per request even when nothing comes back.
2. **An API without a second meter.** RocketReach's API draws on exports. Apollo's standard plans are for [internal business use only](https://www.apollo.io/pricing), so you cannot power a product you sell with them without a separate agreement.
3. **Mobile numbers.** Hunter returns emails only. Apollo charges 8 credits per phone and Lusha 5, so phone-heavy work burns credits fast. Our guide to [direct dials](https://enrich.chat/blog/direct-dials/) explains the difference between mobiles and office lines.
4. **It works in your agent.** Most vendors now offer an MCP server that needs an account, and often an OAuth login. Enrich.chat's [remote MCP server](https://enrich.chat/install/) needs no sign-in and no key, and one prompt works too. See [Enrich.chat for AI agents](https://enrich.chat/agents/).
5. **Fair monthly terms.** RocketReach Essentials costs about twice as much per month on monthly billing as on yearly billing. Price the plan you would really buy.
6. **A free test.** Run 20 of your own contacts through a free tier before you commit, and compare the results with what you have.

## How much do 500 contacts a month cost on each RocketReach alternative?

For 500 contacts a month with a work email and a mobile number, subscription list prices on monthly billing run from $99 to $399.90. RocketReach needs its Ultimate plan at $209 a month, because Pro's 250 exports are not enough. On Enrich.chat the same 500 contacts need 130,000 credits a month, which fits the Scale plan at $90 a month. Credits are spent only on matches, so misses use none.

| Tool | Billed monthly | Billed yearly | Plan that covers 500 a month |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Enrich.chat | $90 (Scale plan) | Same, billed monthly with no annual contract | Scale plan, 130,000 credits a month |
| ContactOut | $99 | Not listed | Email + Phone, 600 exports a month |
| SignalHire | $99 | $83 a month | Unlimited package, 2,000 credits a month |
| Apollo | $130 | $98 a month | 2 Basic seats, 5,000 credits a month |
| RocketReach | $209 | $142 a month | Ultimate, 1,000 exports a month |
| Lusha | $399.90 | $299.95 a month | Premium, 3,400 credits a month |
| Hunter | Not possible | Not possible | None: emails only |

Here is how we got each number from each vendor's pricing page on October 15, 2026:

- **Enrich.chat:** 500 emails × 10 credits + 500 mobiles × 250 credits = 130,000 credits if every contact returns both fields. That fits the Scale plan at $90 a month. Pro-rated at that plan's rate the credits are worth $23.40, but the plan price is what you pay. A lookup that finds nothing uses 0 credits, and each response shows `credits_used`.
- **RocketReach:** each contact sent to an API, CSV or CRM uses an export. [Ultimate](https://rocketreach.co/pricing) includes 1,000 a month on monthly billing, or 20,000 a year for $1,699. Yearly Pro's 3,600 exports cover only 300 a month.
- **Apollo:** an email costs 1 credit and a phone 8, so 500 contacts need 4,500 credits. [Basic](https://www.apollo.io/pricing) grants 2,500 credits per seat per month, so you need two seats at $65 each. Credits pool across the team.
- **Lusha:** an email costs 1 credit and a phone 5, so you need 3,000 credits. Pro's 600 a month falls short, and [Premium](https://www.lusha.com/pricing/) includes 3,400.
- **ContactOut:** [Email + Phone](https://contactout.com/pricing) includes 600 exports a month. Its [fair use policy](https://contactout.com/terms) caps unlimited plans at 2,000 email and 1,000 phone credits a month. Self-serve plans do not include the API.
- **SignalHire:** a credit is used per contact when an email or phone comes back. The monthly plan's 435 credits fall short, so you need the Unlimited package, which its [pricing page](https://www.signalhire.com/pricing) caps at 2,000 credits a month.

**Figure 2: Monthly cost of 500 contacts with email and mobile.** Cost per month on monthly billing for 500 contacts a month with a work email and a mobile number: Enrich.chat $90 on the Scale plan, ContactOut $99 without API access, SignalHire $99 on its Unlimited package, Apollo $130 for two Basic seats, RocketReach $209 on Ultimate, and Lusha $399.90 on Premium.

*List prices on monthly billing for 500 contacts a month, each with a work email and a mobile number. The Enrich.chat bar is the Scale plan at $90 a month, which covers the 130,000 credits these 500 contacts need. Apollo needs two Basic seats for 4,500 credits, and ContactOut's self-serve plans do not include the API. Sources: [RocketReach](https://rocketreach.co/pricing), [Apollo](https://www.apollo.io/pricing), [Lusha](https://www.lusha.com/pricing/), [ContactOut](https://contactout.com/pricing), [SignalHire](https://www.signalhire.com/pricing), checked October 15, 2026.*

Subscription prices stay the same in a quiet month, and so does an Enrich.chat plan. What differs is that every plan has unlimited seats, includes every product and spends credits only on matches, and the entry plan is $29 a month for 100,000 credits. See [Enrich.chat pricing](https://enrich.chat/pricing/) for details.

## Is Apollo or RocketReach better?

Apollo is better for a team that wants contact data, email sequences and a dialer in one tool. RocketReach is better for one person who wants a simple lookup tool at a flat yearly price. [Apollo Basic](https://www.apollo.io/pricing) costs $49 a seat a month billed yearly and grants 30,000 credits a year per seat. A verified email costs 1 credit and a phone number 8, so 30,000 credits cover about 3,300 contacts with both.

RocketReach Pro costs $899 a year for one seat and includes phones, unlimited lookups and 3,600 exports. [Apollo's credits page](https://www.apollo.io/pricing/about-credits) says you are only charged for emails it can verify, and that unused credits do not roll over. RocketReach refunds lookups that find nothing. If you build a product on the data, note that Apollo's standard plans do not allow it. Our [Apollo alternatives](https://enrich.chat/alternatives/apollo/) and [Apollo API guide](https://enrich.chat/blog/apollo-api/) cover this in more depth.

## When is RocketReach the better choice?

RocketReach is the better choice when you work in its web app and reveal contacts one at a time. A yearly plan gives you unlimited lookups within fair use, and lookups that find nothing are refunded. Pick RocketReach if:

- You search with filters in a web app and keep contacts there, rather than pulling them into code.
- You recruit with Bullhorn, or sell with Salesforce, HubSpot, Outreach or Salesloft. Pro includes these integrations.
- You need healthcare data or intent data. Ultimate includes both, and [RocketReach's MCP](https://docs.rocketreach.co/reference/mcp) can look people up by NPI number.
- You want lookups plus simple sequences in one tool, with up to 500 emails a day.
- You prefer a fixed yearly bill to a monthly one.

Choose Enrich.chat when the contact data goes into an agent, a sheet your agent fills or your own app, and you want credits spent only on what comes back. For bigger databases with annual contracts, see our guides to [ZoomInfo alternatives](https://enrich.chat/alternatives/zoominfo/) and the [best B2B data providers](https://enrich.chat/blog/best-b2b-data-providers/).

## How do you run RocketReach-style lookups from an AI agent?

Add Enrich.chat's remote MCP server at `enrich.chat/mcp` (one-click links and steps are on the [install page](https://enrich.chat/install/)), or paste one prompt into ChatGPT, Claude or Cursor so the agent reads [enrich.chat/agents.md](https://enrich.chat/agents.md). Either way it calls Enrich.chat with the identifiers you already have. There is no OAuth step and no key for the first 10 lookups each day. Each RocketReach MCP tool has an Enrich.chat MCP tool or a plain GET request in its place:

| RocketReach MCP tool | Enrich.chat tool or call | Notes |
| --- | --- | --- |
| `person_lookup` by LinkedIn URL | `find_person_contact` or `GET /v1/person` | Pass `linkedin_url` and `fields=email,mobile`. Never logs in to LinkedIn. |
| `person_lookup` by name and employer | `find_person_contact` or `GET /v1/person` | Pass `name` and `company`. Uses credits only on a match. |
| `person_search` | `search_people` or `GET /v1/search` | Pass `q` in plain English, plus filters such as title, seniority and country. |
| `company_lookup` | `company_profile` or `GET /v1/company` | Pass `domain`. |

```text
Use www.enrich.chat to find a verified work email and mobile number for each person on this list. Mark catch_all emails as risky and tell me the total credits used: [paste names and companies, or LinkedIn URLs]
```

The agent returns your rows with new columns and the total `credits_used`. When the free lookups run out, the API returns 402 with an upgrade link to [your account page](https://enrich.chat/account/). There you log in with your email, pick Growth, Scale or Pro, and pay at checkout. Your key appears on the same page. To try one profile in the browser first, use the free [LinkedIn email and phone finder](https://enrich.chat/tools/linkedin-email-finder/). Anyone can opt out at [enrich.chat/opt-out](https://enrich.chat/opt-out/), and you stay responsible for TCPA, CAN-SPAM and GDPR rules.

## Frequently asked questions

### Is there a free alternative to RocketReach?

Yes. Enrich.chat gives every IP address 10 lookups a day with no signup, through the same API your agent uses. [Apollo's free plan](https://www.apollo.io/pricing) includes 75 credits a month, [Lusha's](https://www.lusha.com/pricing/) 40 credits a month and [Hunter's](https://hunter.io/pricing) 50 email credits a month. [ContactOut's free plan](https://contactout.com/pricing) allows 5 emails and 5 phones a day. RocketReach itself gives free accounts 3 lookups, per its pricing FAQ. We checked each free tier on October 15, 2026.

### What is the difference between a lookup and an export on RocketReach?

A lookup reveals a person's contact data and saves it inside RocketReach. An export moves that data out: a CSV download, a push to Salesforce or another CRM, a list upload, a bulk lookup or an API call. [RocketReach's Unlimited Credits FAQ](https://rocketreach.co/resources/unlimitedcredits-faq/) says all of these use export credits. Yearly plans include unlimited lookups, with a fair use limit of 10,000 a month, but cap exports at 1,200, 3,600 or 20,000 a year by plan.

### Does RocketReach charge for lookups that find nothing?

No. [RocketReach's pricing FAQ](https://rocketreach.co/pricing) says a lookup is used only if it finds and verifies an email or phone, and is refunded otherwise. Its [API FAQ](https://docs.rocketreach.co/reference/faq) adds that B or F grade emails use no credits. The plan fee is still fixed, so you pay the same whether you use 10 lookups or 1,000. An Enrich.chat plan is a fixed monthly price too, but a lookup that returns found: false uses 0 credits.

### Does RocketReach have an API and an MCP server?

Yes. Every RocketReach plan lists MCP and API access on its [pricing page](https://rocketreach.co/pricing). The [MCP server](https://docs.rocketreach.co/reference/mcp) connects through OAuth and needs an account with API access. Each person lookup through MCP uses 1 lookup credit and 1 person export credit, so your export allowance caps how many contacts an agent can pull. [Rate limits](https://docs.rocketreach.co/reference/rate-limits) on Essentials allow 15 person lookups a minute and 5,000 a month.

### Is RocketReach cheaper than Apollo?

It depends on how many phone numbers you need. RocketReach Pro costs $899 a year for one seat with phones, unlimited lookups and 3,600 exports. [Apollo Basic](https://www.apollo.io/pricing) costs $49 a seat a month billed yearly, $588 a year, for 30,000 credits. A phone number costs 8 credits on Apollo, so phone-heavy work drains them, but Apollo includes sequences and a dialer. Compare both with [our Apollo pricing guide](https://enrich.chat/blog/apollo-pricing/).

### Can I cancel RocketReach at any time?

Yes, and the cancellation takes effect at the end of the term you prepaid. [RocketReach's FAQ](https://rocketreach.co/pricing) says you prepay for a month or a year and keep your plan features until that term ends. Yearly billing is much cheaper per month: Pro costs $75 a month billed yearly against $119 billed monthly, but you commit for the year. Enrich.chat plans are billed monthly and you can cancel anytime, so there is no yearly term to commit to.
