# The best UpLead alternatives in 2026, by the job you need done

UpLead sells credits for verified B2B contacts. We compared eight options for building a list, enriching a CRM and finding one person, using each vendor's own pricing page.

By Enrich.chat Editorial. Updated October 16, 2026.

**Short answer:** The best UpLead alternatives in 2026 are Apollo and Cognism for building lists, FullEnrich and Lusha for enriching a CRM, Hunter for one email at a time, and Enrich.chat for lookups inside an AI agent. [UpLead costs $99 a month for 170 credits](https://www.uplead.com/pricing/), and each self-serve plan has one user. Enrich.chat plans start at $29 a month with unlimited seats.

## Key takeaways

- UpLead Essentials costs $99 a month for 170 credits, or $74 a month billed yearly. Plus costs $199 for 400 credits, or $149 billed yearly. One credit gets you one contact with email and mobile direct dial.
- Essentials and Plus are single-user plans. Buyer intent data, the Prospector Pro search API and team accounts sit on Professional, which is quote-only and billed annually.
- UpLead's License Terms say unused credits do not roll over, fees are non-refundable, and a plan renews unless you cancel at least 60 days before the renewal date.
- For 250 contacts a month with an email and a mobile, list prices on monthly billing run from $29 on Enrich.chat to $399.90 on Lusha. UpLead needs $147.
- UpLead is the better pick when one rep builds filtered lists in a web app, has every email checked on export and pushes the list to a CRM.

## The verdict

If your contact data goes into an AI agent or your own app, **Enrich.chat** is the simplest UpLead alternative: one prompt, unlimited seats, and credits spent only on matches. If a rep builds lists with a Chrome extension and CRM push, UpLead or Apollo is the closer fit.

- Best for agents and apps: Enrich.chat (One prompt, plans from $29 a month)
- Best for building lists: Apollo (Filters, sequences and a Chrome extension in one seat)
- Best for enriching a CRM: FullEnrich (Credits used only on verified data, with API and MCP)
- Best for one email at a time: Hunter (1 credit per email found, unlimited team members)

## Who is UpLead for, and what does it cost in 2026?

UpLead is a B2B contact database sold on monthly credits, built for one rep or founder who builds filtered lists in a web app. [UpLead's pricing page](https://www.uplead.com/pricing/) says one credit gets you one contact for download or CRM export, with the email and the mobile direct dial. These are its plans on October 16, 2026:

| Plan | Billed monthly | Billed yearly | Added at this tier |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Free trial | $0 for 7 days, 5 credits | Not applicable | Verified emails, mobile direct dials, Chrome extension |
| Essentials | $99 a month, 170 credits | $74 a month, 2,040 credits a year | CRM integrations |
| Plus | $199 a month, 400 credits | $149 a month, 4,800 credits a year | Technographics, data enrichment, advanced filters, suppression lists, Enrichment API |
| Professional | Not offered | Quote only, annual billing | Buyer intent data, all search filters, full API, two-way CRM sync, team management |

Extra credits cost $0.60 on Essentials and $0.50 on Plus. Free, Essentials and Plus are single-user accounts, and Professional is the team plan. UpLead's site also showed a Black Friday banner offering 40% off annual plans on October 16, so a yearly price may come in under the list. Our [UpLead pricing guide](https://enrich.chat/blog/uplead-pricing/) covers each plan in detail.

On the product side, [UpLead's homepage](https://www.uplead.com/) lists more than 50 search filters, a Chrome extension, bulk lookup and an API. [Its data page](https://www.uplead.com/our-data/) says it checks each email when you reveal a lead or export in bulk, and shows the status Valid, Invalid or Accept All.

**Figure 1: What one UpLead credit costs by plan.** Price per credit on UpLead, from its pricing page. Essentials costs $0.58 a credit billed monthly and $0.44 billed yearly. Plus costs $0.50 monthly and $0.37 yearly, the lowest. Extra credits cost $0.60 on Essentials and $0.50 on Plus.

*What one UpLead credit costs, computed as each plan's price divided by the credits it includes. Yearly prices are 12 times the monthly rate shown on the plan card. Extra credits are the per-credit rates on the pricing page. Source: [UpLead's pricing page](https://www.uplead.com/pricing/), checked October 16, 2026.*

The credit price falls with plan size and with yearly billing, from $0.58 on Essentials monthly to $0.37 on Plus yearly. That is the number to compare when you price an alternative: one UpLead credit buys a whole contact, while other tools charge per field.

## Why do people look for UpLead alternatives?

People leave UpLead over plan terms, one-user plans, features held back for a quote, and credit math. Each reason below comes from UpLead's own pages or from reviews we could open on October 16, 2026.

- **Plan terms.** UpLead's pricing FAQ says monthly plans have no contract. Its [License Terms](https://www.uplead.com/terms-and-conditions/), last updated April 29, 2025, say a plan renews for a term of the same length unless you cancel at least 60 days before the renewal date. They also say fees are non-refundable and unused credits do not roll over, unless an order form says otherwise. The homepage says "We'll refund you for bounces and poor data", but the terms we read do not describe that refund. Ask support for the rule in writing.
- **A data license that ends with the plan.** The same terms say that within seven days after a plan ends you must destroy UpLead data you hold and confirm it in writing. Plan for that if you enrich a CRM with it.
- **One user per plan.** Free, Essentials and Plus are single-user accounts. Team accounts exist only on Professional, which is billed annually and priced by quote.
- **Features held back.** Technographics, data enrichment and advanced filters start on Plus at $199 a month, and so does the Enrichment API. Buyer intent data, the Prospector Pro search API, full API access and team tools need Professional.
- **Credit math.** One credit is one contact, so Essentials covers 170 contacts a month. [UpLead's API docs](https://docs.uplead.com/) say a credit is deducted per contact, and only when the email comes back Valid or Accept All. They do not say what happens when a contact has no mobile. See our guide to the [best direct dial providers](https://enrich.chat/blog/best-direct-dial-providers/).
- **Reviews.** On [Trustpilot](https://www.trustpilot.com/review/uplead.com), UpLead scores 4.2 out of 5 from 90 reviews, with 67% five-star and 21% one-star. Trustpilot adds that UpLead has not asked for reviews lately and has not replied to negative ones. Of the 20 reviews on the first page, 16 are positive and praise ease of use, verification and support. The four negative ones cite poor list quality, filters that did not hold and, in two cases, trouble cancelling after a trial. UpLead's own pricing page shows 4.7 out of 5 on G2, 4.6 on Capterra and 4.5 on Gartner. Those sites block automated readers, so we could not confirm the scores.
- **No agent route.** UpLead's pricing page, homepage and API docs list an API, Zapier and 15 CRM and sales-tool integrations. We found no MCP server on them, and every API call needs a key in the Authorization header.

## Which UpLead alternative fits the job you need done?

Pick by the job you give UpLead: building a verified list, enriching a CRM, or finding one person. The figure groups the options, and the sections below give the prices.

**Figure 2: Which UpLead alternative fits which job.** Three columns group the alternatives by job. To build a list: Apollo from $65 a seat a month, Cognism, ZoomInfo and Seamless.AI by quote, and Enrich.chat for search, saved lists and CSV export. To enrich a CRM: FullEnrich, Lusha, Apollo and Enrich.chat. To find a person: Hunter, Lusha and Enrich.chat.

*The options grouped by the job you would hire UpLead for. Prices are entry list prices on monthly billing, and "quote" means no public price. Sources: [Apollo](https://www.apollo.io/pricing), [Cognism](https://www.cognism.com/pricing), [FullEnrich](https://fullenrich.com/pricing), [Lusha](https://www.lusha.com/pricing/), [Hunter](https://hunter.io/pricing), [ZoomInfo](https://www.zoominfo.com/pricing), [Seamless.AI](https://seamless.ai/pricing), checked October 16, 2026.*

### Building a verified list

For a filtered list in a web app, Apollo is the closest swap. [Apollo's Basic plan](https://www.apollo.io/pricing) costs $65 a seat a month, or $49 billed yearly, and includes advanced filters, 6 intent topics, unlimited sequences and a Chrome extension. A phone number costs 8 credits and an email 1, per [Apollo's credits page](https://www.apollo.io/pricing/about-credits). For European teams, [Cognism](https://www.cognism.com/pricing) publishes no price, includes 5 seats in its Standard and Pro packages and adds intent data on Pro. [ZoomInfo](https://www.zoominfo.com/pricing) and [Seamless.AI](https://seamless.ai/pricing) publish no prices either, and Vendr's buyer data shows a $33,500 median ZoomInfo contract. Our guides cover [Apollo](https://enrich.chat/alternatives/apollo/), [ZoomInfo](https://enrich.chat/alternatives/zoominfo/), [Cognism](https://enrich.chat/alternatives/cognism/) and [Seamless.AI](https://enrich.chat/alternatives/seamless-ai/) in depth.

Enrich.chat's dashboard has people and company search, saved lists and CSV export, but no spreadsheet-style table builder. You describe the people you want in plain English or with filters, a search returns names, titles and companies at 5 credits a person, and you or your agent then reveal each email or mobile. See [lists and export](https://enrich.chat/features/lists-and-export/), or try one search in the free [lead list builder](https://enrich.chat/tools/lead-list-builder/).

### Enriching a CRM

For filling gaps in records you already hold, FullEnrich and Lusha are built for it. [FullEnrich Pro](https://fullenrich.com/pricing) costs $55 a month for 1,000 credits, or $49 billed yearly. A work email costs 1 credit and a mobile 10, and credits are used only when it finds verified data. Monthly credits roll over for 3 months, and every plan has unlimited users. [Lusha](https://www.lusha.com/pricing/) lists bulk enrichment on Starter at $49.90 a month, and an API and CSV enrichment from Pro at $69.90. Apollo's Basic plan includes automated CRM enrichment, and UpLead offers Data Enrichment only from Plus. See our guides to [CRM data enrichment](https://enrich.chat/blog/crm-data-enrichment/) and [waterfall enrichment](https://enrich.chat/blog/waterfall-enrichment/).

Enrich.chat has no CRM app. If your agent can read your CRM or a sheet, it calls `/v1/person` once per row, or `POST /v1/batch` for 25 at a time, and writes the answer back, with a status on each field.

### Finding one person

For one name at a time, a finder costs less than a database seat. [Hunter](https://hunter.io/pricing) costs $49 a month for 2,000 credits, or $34 billed yearly, and charges 1 credit per email found. Its credit list has no phone numbers. Lusha's Chrome extension reveals contacts on LinkedIn and other sites. RocketReach is a common pick for person search, but its pricing page blocked our reader, so see our [RocketReach alternatives](https://enrich.chat/alternatives/rocketreach/) instead of a price here.

Enrich.chat takes a LinkedIn URL, a work email, or a name plus a company website, and returns the email and mobile with a status. Personal mailboxes such as Gmail are not looked up, and company names alone are not supported. The first 10 lookups a day need no signup. Try the [LinkedIn email finder](https://enrich.chat/tools/linkedin-email-finder/) or the [email finder](https://enrich.chat/tools/email-finder/).

## How much do 250 contacts a month cost on UpLead and its alternatives?

For 250 contacts a month, each with a work email and a mobile, list prices on monthly billing run from $29 to $399.90, and UpLead needs $147: Essentials at $99 plus 80 extra credits at $0.60. On Enrich.chat the same 250 people need 66,250 credits if you also find them by search, which fits the Growth plan at $29 a month.

| Tool | Monthly bill | Credits per contact | How we got it |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Enrich.chat | $29 (Growth plan) | 265 | 5 for the search result, 10 for the email, 250 for the mobile |
| Apollo | $65 | 9 | 1 for the email and 8 for the phone: 2,250 credits, and one Basic seat includes 2,500 |
| UpLead | $147 | 1 | Essentials includes 170 credits, and 80 extra credits cost $48 |
| FullEnrich | $255 | 11 | 2,750 credits fit the 5,000-credit tier |
| Lusha | $399.90 | 6 | 1,500 credits: Pro includes 600, Premium includes 3,400 |
| Hunter | $49, emails only | 1 | 250 emails fit Starter's 2,000 credits, and it has no mobiles |
| Cognism, ZoomInfo, Seamless.AI | Quote only | Not stated | No public price |

We read each number from the vendor's own page on October 16, 2026: [UpLead](https://www.uplead.com/pricing/), [Apollo pricing](https://www.apollo.io/pricing) and [credits page](https://www.apollo.io/pricing/about-credits), [Lusha](https://www.lusha.com/pricing/), [FullEnrich](https://fullenrich.com/pricing) and [Hunter](https://hunter.io/pricing). These are list prices for the credits a workload needs, not quotes. They also compare different things. UpLead's credit covers both fields in one go, and Apollo and Lusha seats bring extensions and sequences that Enrich.chat does not have.

**Figure 3: Monthly cost of 250 contacts with email and mobile.** List price on monthly billing for 250 contacts a month, each with a work email and a mobile number: Enrich.chat $29 on the Growth plan, Apollo $65 for one Basic seat, UpLead $147 on Essentials with extra credits, FullEnrich $255 on its 5,000-credit tier, and Lusha $399.90 on Premium.

*List price on monthly billing for the plan that covers 250 contacts a month, each with a work email and a mobile. The Enrich.chat bar is the Growth plan at $29 a month, which covers the 66,250 credits these 250 people need if each is also found by search. UpLead is Essentials plus 80 extra credits. Hunter would cost $49 but returns emails only. Sources: [UpLead](https://www.uplead.com/pricing/), [Apollo](https://www.apollo.io/pricing), [FullEnrich](https://fullenrich.com/pricing), [Lusha](https://www.lusha.com/pricing/), checked October 16, 2026.*

If you already hold the LinkedIn URLs, the search charge drops out. The same 250 contacts then need 65,000 credits, still on the Growth plan. An Enrich.chat plan has unlimited seats and no annual contract. Credits renew with each monthly payment and unused credits do not roll over. See [Enrich.chat pricing](https://enrich.chat/pricing/) for the plans.

## When is UpLead the better choice?

UpLead is the better choice when one person builds filtered lists in a web app and wants each email checked on export. Pick UpLead if:

- You want to build a list from more than 50 filters in a web app.
- You need technographic filters to find companies that use a given tool. Plus and up include them. Enrich.chat checks one company's tech stack by domain, with the free [tech stack lookup](https://enrich.chat/tools/tech-stack-lookup/), and its company search can filter by technology used.
- You want a Chrome extension on every plan, the trial included, plus 15 CRM and sales-tool integrations and Zapier.
- You like a clear entry price with self-serve checkout and a 7-day trial: $99 a month, with no sales call.
- You want to upload a suppression list, to exclude people you already own. Plus and up include it.
- You value the email statuses Valid, Invalid and Accept All on export, and UpLead's promise to refund bounces. Confirm the refund rule with support first.

Choose Enrich.chat when the contact data goes into an agent, a sheet your agent fills or your own app. For a bigger database on annual contracts, read [UpLead vs ZoomInfo](https://enrich.chat/compare/uplead-vs-zoominfo/) and the [best B2B data providers](https://enrich.chat/blog/best-b2b-data-providers/).

## How do you run UpLead-style lookups from an AI agent?

Add Enrich.chat's remote MCP server at `enrich.chat/mcp` (one-click links are on the [install page](https://enrich.chat/install/)), or paste one prompt into ChatGPT, Claude or Cursor so the agent reads [enrich.chat/agents.md](https://enrich.chat/agents.md). No key is needed for the first 10 lookups each day. Each UpLead API call has a plain GET request in its place:

| UpLead API call | Enrich.chat call | Notes |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Person API: email, or domain plus first and last name | `GET /v1/person` | Pass a work email, a LinkedIn URL, or `name` plus `company` as a website. Personal mailboxes are not looked up. |
| Prospector Pro API: contacts at a company by job function (Professional) | `GET /v1/company/people` or `GET /v1/search` | Pass `domain` and `title`, or describe the people in plain English. |
| Company API: a company by domain | `GET /v1/company` | Pass `domain`. `GET /v1/company/tech` adds the tech stack. |
| Credits endpoint | `GET /v1/usage` | Shows how many free lookups are left and does not use one. |

```text
Use www.enrich.chat to find 25 [job title] at [industry] companies in [country] with [employee range] employees. For each person, get the work email and show its status, marking catch_all as risky. Skip mobiles. Go about one request a second, and report the matches and the total credits used.
```

The agent returns the people it found, each with an email status, and the total `credits_used`. When the free lookups run out, the API returns 402 with a link to [your account page](https://enrich.chat/account/). There you log in with your email, pick Growth, Scale or Pro, and pay at checkout, and your key appears on the same page. A lookup that finds nothing uses 0 credits. Accounts follow the [terms of service](https://enrich.chat/terms/). Anyone can opt out at [enrich.chat/opt-out](https://enrich.chat/opt-out/), and you stay responsible for TCPA, CAN-SPAM and GDPR rules.

## How do you switch from UpLead without losing credits?

Switch in five steps, and start with the renewal date, because that is where the money is. This is not legal advice, so read your own order and invoice.

1. **Find your renewal date.** UpLead's terms ask for 60 days' notice before it. Check your invoice or the Subscription page in your account.
2. **Spend the credits you have.** Per the terms, unused credits do not roll over.
3. **Check the data rule.** The terms require you to destroy UpLead data you hold within seven days after the plan ends. Ask support in writing whether contacts already in your CRM can stay.
4. **Test a free tier.** Run 20 people you already know through Enrich.chat (10 lookups a day, no signup), Apollo (75 credits a month), Lusha (40) or Hunter (50), and compare the results with your records.
5. **Keep your own suppression list.** Save the list of contacts you exclude as a file you own, so it moves with you.

For the data side of the move, our guides to [B2B data decay](https://enrich.chat/blog/b2b-data-decay/) and [contact enrichment](https://enrich.chat/blog/contact-enrichment/) explain how records age and how to fill gaps.

## Frequently asked questions

### How much does UpLead cost per month?

UpLead Essentials costs $99 a month for 170 credits, or $74 a month billed yearly. Plus costs $199 for 400 credits, or $149 billed yearly. One credit gets you one contact with email and mobile direct dial. Professional is quote-only and billed annually. Extra credits cost $0.60 on Essentials and $0.50 on Plus. We read [UpLead's pricing page](https://www.uplead.com/pricing/) on October 16, 2026. See our [UpLead pricing guide](https://enrich.chat/blog/uplead-pricing/) for more.

### Is UpLead cheaper than ZoomInfo?

UpLead publishes prices and ZoomInfo does not. UpLead Essentials costs $99 a month, while [Vendr's buyer data](https://www.vendr.com/marketplace/zoominfo) puts the median ZoomInfo contract at $33,500 a year, from $7,240 to $156,042 across 1,577 purchases. ZoomInfo adds intent data and team features, and UpLead plans have one user. See [UpLead vs ZoomInfo](https://enrich.chat/compare/uplead-vs-zoominfo/) for the full comparison.

### Can I cancel UpLead at any time?

UpLead's pricing FAQ says monthly plans have no contract or long-term commitment. Its [License Terms](https://www.uplead.com/terms-and-conditions/), last updated April 29, 2025, say a plan renews for a term of the same length unless you cancel at least 60 days before the renewal date, and that fees are non-refundable. Ask support in writing which rule applies to your plan. Enrich.chat plans are billed monthly and you can cancel anytime.

### Does UpLead have an API or an MCP server?

UpLead has an API with a person lookup by email, or by domain plus first and last name, a company lookup and search endpoints. [Its pricing page](https://www.uplead.com/pricing/) puts the Enrichment API on Plus, and the Prospector Pro search API and full API access on Professional. Every call needs a key, and [the docs](https://docs.uplead.com/) allow 500 requests a minute. We found no MCP server on its pages. Enrich.chat has an MCP server that needs no key.

### Is there a free alternative to UpLead?

UpLead's own free option is a 7-day trial with 5 credits. Enrich.chat gives every IP address 10 lookups a day with no signup. [Apollo's free plan](https://www.apollo.io/pricing) has 75 credits a seat a month, [Lusha's](https://www.lusha.com/pricing/) 40 credits a month and [Hunter's](https://hunter.io/pricing) 50 credits a month. [FullEnrich](https://fullenrich.com/pricing) gives 50 trial credits with no card. We read each pricing page on October 16, 2026.

### How accurate is UpLead?

UpLead says it backs its data with a 95%+ accuracy guarantee, and [its data page](https://www.uplead.com/our-data/) says it verifies each email when you reveal a lead or export in bulk, with the statuses Valid, Invalid and Accept All. Those are vendor claims, and we ran no tests. Its License Terms disclaim data accuracy warranties except as stated, so ask support how its credit refund for bounces works. On [Trustpilot](https://www.trustpilot.com/review/uplead.com) it scores 4.2 out of 5 from 90 reviews.
