# Apollo pricing in 2026: every plan, how credits work, and what a contact really costs

We read Apollo's pricing page in both billing views, its credit docs and its help center. Here are the prices, the credit rules, the math per email and mobile, and the costs that are easy to miss.

By Enrich.chat Editorial. Updated October 15, 2026.

**Short answer:** Apollo has four self-serve plans: Free, Basic, Professional and Organization. Billed annually they cost $0, $49, $79 and $119 per seat per month, and Basic and Professional cost $65 and $99 billed monthly, per [Apollo's pricing page](https://www.apollo.io/pricing). An email costs 1 credit and a phone number 8, so a mobile works out to about $0.16 to $0.21 if you use every credit.

## Key takeaways

- Billed annually, Apollo costs $49, $79 or $119 a seat a month. Billed monthly, Basic is $65 and Professional $99. Organization is annual only, with a 3-seat minimum.
- Paid plans grant 2,500, 4,000 or 6,000 credits a seat a month. An email costs 1 credit and a phone number costs 8.
- If you use every credit, a credit costs about $0.02 on annual plans and $0.026 on monthly Basic, so a mobile costs $0.16 to $0.21.
- The Free plan gives 75 credits a seat a month, enough for 75 emails or 9 phone numbers, and allows one seat after 100 days.
- Unused credits, add-on credits included, expire at the end of each billing cycle. Apollo never refunds credits for mobile numbers.

## Plans and prices

Prices as listed by Apollo on October 15, 2026. [Source](https://www.apollo.io/pricing). Per seat per month, billed annually. Billed monthly, Basic is $65 and Professional $99. Prices exclude tax.

| Plan | Price | Notes |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Free | $0 /seat | 75 credits a seat a month (900 a year) |
| Basic | $49 /seat/mo | $65 billed monthly. 30,000 credits a seat a year, or 2,500 a month |
| Professional | $79 /seat/mo | $99 billed monthly. 48,000 credits a seat a year, or 4,000 a month |
| Organization | $119 /seat/mo | Annual only, 3 seats minimum. 72,000 credits a seat a year |
| Custom | Quote | From Apollo sales; no published price |

## How much does Apollo cost per month?

Apollo costs $0 to $119 per seat per month on annual billing, and $65 or $99 per seat on monthly billing. Those are the four self-serve plans on [Apollo's pricing page](https://www.apollo.io/pricing), which we checked in both billing views on October 15, 2026. Prices exclude tax.

| Apollo plan | Billed annually | Billed monthly | Credits per seat | Seat rules |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Free | $0 | $0 | 75 a month (900 a year) | One seat after 100 days |
| Basic | $49 a month ($588 a year) | $65 a month | 30,000 a year, or 2,500 a month | No minimum |
| Professional | $79 a month ($948 a year) | $99 a month | 48,000 a year, or 4,000 a month | No minimum |
| Organization | $119 a month ($1,428 a year) | Annual only | 72,000 a year | 3 seats minimum |
| Custom | Quote from sales | Quote from sales | Custom volumes | Set with sales |

Annual billing is cheaper, but you pay for the year up front. Apollo's toggle promises 24% off, which matches Basic: $65 drops to $49. Professional drops 20%, from $99 to $79. Organization shows $149 in the monthly view but is marked "Annual Only", so you can't pay for it month to month.

Moving up a plan buys mostly software, not cheaper data. Here is what each step adds, from the plan comparison table on the same page:

- **Basic** adds unlimited sequences, advanced filters, the dialer, waterfall enrichment and CRM integrations. You can select 1,000 records at a time, up from 25 on Free.
- **Professional** adds A/Z testing, unlimited daily email sends, AI lead scoring, Apollo's Agents and 4,000 minutes of call recording. The selection limit rises to 2,500 records.
- **Organization** adds single sign-on, 12 intent topics, 500 workflows and 8,000 call minutes, with a 10,000-record selection limit.
- **Custom** plans cover custom credit volumes, advanced security and dedicated support. Apollo does not publish a price.

Two add-ons are priced per team, not per seat. The Advanced Dialer costs $119 a month billed annually, or $149 billed monthly. Inbound, for website visitors and forms, costs $119 (Essentials) or $639 (Max) a month billed annually, and $149 or $799 billed monthly. Apollo labels both as introductory prices that may change.

## How do Apollo credits work?

Apollo credits are the currency you spend to reveal contact data and use some features. An email costs 1 credit and a phone number costs 8, per [Apollo's About Credits page](https://www.apollo.io/pricing/about-credits). Each seat adds its credits to one pool that the whole team shares.

| Action | Credits | What to know |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Email | 1 | Personal, business or both; never more than 1 per contact. Charged only for emails Apollo can verify |
| Phone number | 8 | Mobile, direct dial or office line, all the same price |
| Enrich data | 1 to 8 | Adds data to contact and company records |
| AI research | 1 per run | Pain points, custom fields, email writing |
| US dialer | 1 per 30 seconds | International rates vary by region |
| Waterfall email | Usually 1 to 4 | Can reach 20 or more, depending on your vendors |
| Waterfall phone | Usually 8 to 25 | Can reach 45 or more; some vendors charge even with no result |

The first five rows come from [Apollo's pricing page](https://www.apollo.io/pricing) and its About Credits page. The waterfall ranges come from [Apollo's API pricing page](https://docs.apollo.io/docs/api-pricing).

**Figure 1: Anatomy of Apollo's credit system.** Each Apollo seat grants credits each month: 75 on Free, 2,500 on Basic, 4,000 on Professional and 6,000 on Organization, with annual plans granting the full year up front. Credits go into one team pool that admins can cap per user. The pool is spent per action: 1 credit for an email, 8 for a phone number, 1 to 8 to enrich data, 1 per AI research run, 1 per 30 seconds of US calling and usually 8 to 25 for a waterfall phone lookup. At the end of each billing cycle, unused plan and add-on credits expire. Bounced verified emails can be refunded, phone numbers never.

### When credits arrive and when they expire

- **Grants.** Monthly plans grant a month of credits at the start of each cycle. Annual plans grant the whole year on day one. If an annual plan is billed quarterly or twice a year, Apollo releases credits on that schedule.
- **Pooling.** Credits are pooled across your team, and admins can set per-user caps, per the FAQ on [Apollo's pricing page](https://www.apollo.io/pricing).
- **Expiry.** Unused credits expire at the end of each billing cycle and do not roll over. This includes add-on credits you paid for.
- **Refunds.** If an Apollo-verified email bounces and you sent it from Apollo within 30 days, Apollo refunds the credit in the next billing cycle. It does not refund any credits for mobile numbers, per its [help article on data requests](https://knowledge.apollo.io/hc/en-us/articles/4738396786701-Request-Contact-Data-in-Apollo).
- **No extra charge.** When you request an email, Apollo also looks for an office phone number for free. It does not charge again for job change data your team already bought.

### Email, mobile and export credits

Current plans show one credit balance per seat, but some Apollo accounts still track credit types apart. Apollo's [credit usage guide](https://knowledge.apollo.io/hc/en-us/articles/9527776320781-Review-Credit-Usage-in-Apollo) says export credits "may only apply to certain plans or legacy configurations". It also says email and mobile data use separate credit balances in waterfall enrichment. The API pricing page warns that legacy plans may use credits differently. To see your own rules, open Settings, then Credits and activity, then About credits.

## Is Apollo.io free, and what does the Free plan include?

Yes, Apollo has a free plan. It costs $0 with no time limit and gives each seat 75 credits a month, or 900 a year. That buys 75 emails or 9 phone numbers a month.

The Free plan's limits, from [Apollo's plan comparison](https://www.apollo.io/pricing):

- 2 sequences per team and 250 email sends a day, from 1 mailbox.
- Basic filters only, and you can select 25 records at a time.
- No dialer, 2 automated workflows and 100 CRM enrichments a month.
- 5 AI Assistant chats and 5,000 AI-written words a month.
- API access, the Chrome extension and the Gmail and Salesforce extensions are included.
- One seat only after 100 days of active use, per [Apollo's plan guide](https://knowledge.apollo.io/hc/en-us/articles/4677130104333-Customize-and-Manage-Your-Apollo-Plan).

Apollo's 14-day free trial is separate from the Free plan. You can trial Basic or Professional once, with 75 credits. [Apollo's trial guide](https://knowledge.apollo.io/hc/en-us/articles/5288168088205-Access-a-Free-Trial-of-Apollo) caps trial phone numbers at 20, calls at 60 minutes and record selection at 25. Organization has no trial. When the trial ends, you upgrade or drop back to Free.

Apollo's Free plan works for testing the database or for a founder who sends a few emails a week. It does not cover phone prospecting: 9 mobiles a month is the ceiling.

## Which Apollo plans include API access?

Apollo's plan table ticks "API Enrichment" and "All other APIs" on every plan, Free included. The fine print is stricter. The same page's FAQ says advanced or custom integrations need a Custom plan. [Apollo's API key docs](https://docs.apollo.io/docs/create-api-key) say access "depends on your Apollo plan" and point you to sales.

API calls draw on your Apollo credits, per [Apollo's API pricing page](https://docs.apollo.io/docs/api-pricing):

- People enrichment costs 1 credit for the profile and email, plus 8 if a mobile comes back. Apollo charges only when it finds data.
- Organization enrichment costs 1 credit. Organization search costs 1 credit per page of up to 100 results.
- Endpoints that create, update or list records cost nothing. People search is not on the list of endpoints that use credits.
- Rate limits vary by endpoint and plan. Apollo returns HTTP 429 when you go over.

One rule matters if you build software. Apollo's pricing FAQ says its plans are for internal business use only. Using Apollo data to power an external product, share it with customers or resell it needs a separate agreement with custom pricing. Our [Apollo API guide](https://enrich.chat/blog/apollo-api/) covers the endpoints. [Apollo MCP](https://enrich.chat/blog/apollo-mcp-alternative/) covers Apollo's AI connector, which spends the same credits.

## What does a contact really cost on each Apollo plan?

If you use every credit, an email costs about 2 to 2.6 cents on Apollo and a mobile about 16 to 21 cents. To get there, divide the seat price by the seat's credits. Then multiply by 1 for an email or 8 for a phone number. Every annual plan works out to about $0.02 a credit, so higher plans buy features, not cheaper data.

| Plan and billing | Seat price and credits | Per credit | Per email | Per mobile |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Free | $0 for 75 a month | $0 | $0, up to 75 a month | $0, up to 9 a month |
| Basic, monthly | $65 for 2,500 a month | $0.026 | $0.026 | $0.21 |
| Basic, annual | $588 for 30,000 a year | $0.0196 | $0.020 | $0.16 |
| Professional, monthly | $99 for 4,000 a month | $0.0248 | $0.025 | $0.20 |
| Professional, annual | $948 for 48,000 a year | $0.0198 | $0.020 | $0.16 |
| Organization, annual | $1,428 for 72,000 a year, 3 seats minimum | $0.0198 | $0.020 | $0.16 |
| Enrich.chat Growth, monthly | $29 for 100,000 credits a month, unlimited seats | $0.00029 | $0.0029 (10 credits) | $0.0725 (250 credits) |

Here is the math on Basic billed monthly. $65 ÷ 2,500 credits is $0.026 a credit. An email is 1 credit, so it costs $0.026. A phone number is 8 credits, so it costs 8 × $0.026 = $0.208, about $0.21. An email plus a mobile is 9 credits, about $0.23. On Basic billed annually, $588 ÷ 30,000 is $0.0196 a credit, so a mobile costs about $0.16.

**Figure 2: Cost per mobile and per email on each Apollo plan.** Bar chart of the cost of one mobile number when every credit is used. Apollo Basic billed monthly is $0.21 per mobile and $0.026 per email. Professional billed monthly is $0.20 and $0.025. Basic, Professional and Organization billed annually are each about $0.16 per mobile and $0.020 per email. Enrich.chat on the Growth plan, $29 a month for 100,000 credits with unlimited seats, works out to $0.0725 per mobile and $0.0029 per email if every credit is used.

*Seat price divided by the seat's credits, times 8 for a phone number and 1 for an email. It assumes every credit is used before it expires, and leaves out seat minimums. Sources: [Apollo pricing](https://www.apollo.io/pricing), annual and monthly views, checked October 15, 2026. The Enrich.chat bar is the Growth plan, $29 for 100,000 credits, at 250 credits per mobile and 10 per email, if every credit is used; see [Enrich.chat pricing](https://enrich.chat/pricing/).*

Those figures assume you spend every credit before it expires. Many teams don't. If you use half of a Basic seat's 2,500 monthly credits, each mobile costs twice as much, because the seat price stays the same.

**Figure 3: What an Apollo mobile costs when credits go unused.** On one Apollo Basic seat billed monthly at $65 for 2,500 credits, a mobile number costs $0.21 if all credits are used, $0.28 if 75% are used, $0.42 if half are used and $0.83 if a quarter are used, because unused credits expire. Enrich.chat on the Growth plan, $29 for 100,000 credits, costs $0.0725 per mobile if every credit is used and $0.29 if a quarter are used, because the plan price stays the same.

*Cost per mobile on one Apollo Basic seat billed monthly, when part of the 2,500 credits expire unused. A mobile uses 8 credits; emails scale the same way. The Enrich.chat bars are the Growth plan, $29 for 100,000 credits at 250 credits per mobile: the plan price is fixed, so its cost per mobile rises the same way when fewer credits are used. Our arithmetic from [Apollo pricing](https://www.apollo.io/pricing) and [About Credits](https://www.apollo.io/pricing/about-credits), checked October 15, 2026.*

## What are the hidden costs of Apollo?

The hidden costs of Apollo come from commitments, not from the credit rate. Seat minimums, annual terms, expiring credits and add-ons can push the real bill well past the price per seat. Each item below comes from [Apollo's pricing FAQ](https://www.apollo.io/pricing) unless another source is linked.

- **Seat minimums.** Organization needs 3 seats and annual billing, so the smallest Organization plan costs $4,284 a year. Every seat on an account must be on the same plan.
- **Annual lock-in.** You pay for an annual plan up front. You can switch from monthly to annual at any time, but going back means waiting for the annual term to end. Annual plans can't be downgraded mid-cycle.
- **No refunds on downgrades.** A downgrade takes effect at once, but Apollo refunds neither the unused time nor the price difference.
- **Expiring credits.** Unused plan and add-on credits vanish at the end of each cycle. A seat that spends half its credits pays double for each contact.
- **Add-on credits renew.** Extra credits are charged the moment you add them and renew every cycle until you set them back to zero. The pricing page does not list their price.
- **Waterfall lookups.** A waterfall phone lookup usually uses 8 to 25 credits and can pass 45. Some waterfall vendors charge per lookup even when they find nothing, per [Apollo's API pricing](https://docs.apollo.io/docs/api-pricing).
- **Calls and add-ons.** US calls cost 1 credit per 30 seconds, with a 30-second minimum per connected call, per Apollo's [credit usage guide](https://knowledge.apollo.io/hc/en-us/articles/9527776320781-Review-Credit-Usage-in-Apollo). The Advanced Dialer and Inbound add-ons start at $119 a team a month, billed annually.
- **Mobiles you can't use.** Apollo charges for any phone number it reveals and refunds no mobile credits, so a wrong number still costs 8 credits.
- **Building on the data.** Using Apollo data inside a product you sell needs a separate agreement with custom pricing.

## How can you lower your Apollo bill?

You lower an Apollo bill by buying only the credits you will spend and spending fewer of them on phones. These steps use Apollo's own settings and rules.

1. **Start monthly, then go annual.** Run a month or two on monthly billing to learn your real usage. Apollo lets you switch to annual at any time and prorates what you already paid.
2. **Reveal emails first, mobiles last.** A phone number costs 8 times as much as an email. Request mobiles only for people you plan to call soon.
3. **Set per-user caps.** Admins can cap each user's credits so one rep can't drain the pool. Check spend under Settings, then Credit usage.
4. **Check your waterfall.** Turn off vendors that charge per lookup, or save the waterfall for high-value accounts. Our guide to [waterfall enrichment](https://enrich.chat/blog/waterfall-enrichment/) explains the trade-off.
5. **Remove add-on credits before renewal.** If you needed extra credits once, set them to zero before the next cycle.
6. **Send from Apollo to keep bounce refunds.** Apollo refunds a bounced email's credit only if you sent it from Apollo within 30 days.
7. **Search first, reveal later.** Searching for people costs nothing. Apollo charges when you click to access an email or a mobile.
8. **Move data-only jobs off the seat.** If a script or AI agent only needs emails and mobiles, a seat is overhead. A credit-plan API such as Enrich.chat spends credits on each contact found and none on misses, and every plan has unlimited seats.

## Is Apollo worth it? What do reviews say?

Most reviewers rate Apollo well for prospecting and outreach, and the common complaints are credits, data gaps and support. Ratings differ a lot by site. We read each listing on October 15, 2026.

### What Apollo reviewers praise

- **One tool for the whole job.** A business development reviewer on Capterra says Apollo let them find decision-makers, verify contacts and manage outreach without switching tools.
- **Filters.** Reviewers like building tight lists by industry, company size and job title.
- **Price against enterprise tools.** A startup founder on Capterra picked Apollo after comparing ZoomInfo, RocketReach, Seamless and Hunter.io, citing the balance of data and price.
- **A usable free tier.** A BDR on Capterra calls the free plan useful for startups and side projects.

### What Apollo reviewers complain about

- **Credits take planning.** A sales specialist on Capterra says you must ration credits on mobile numbers so you don't run out before the month ends.
- **Data accuracy.** Several Capterra reviewers report outdated or duplicate contacts and bounced emails, and check key contacts elsewhere.
- **Feature gates.** Useful features sit on higher plans, and one Trustpilot reviewer found the upgrade for international use expensive.
- **Support.** Trustpilot's AI summary of recent reviews says users report long waits and unhelpful automated replies from customer service.

Apollo is worth it when your reps work in it all day. The seat buys sequences, the dialer, the Chrome extension and CRM sync, and the data comes with them. Apollo is a weaker fit when you only need data in a script, an app or an AI agent. Then you pay for software you don't use, and unused credits expire. For side-by-side views, see [Apollo vs ZoomInfo](https://enrich.chat/compare/apollo-vs-zoominfo/), [Clay vs Apollo](https://enrich.chat/compare/clay-vs-apollo/) and our review of the [Apollo Chrome extension](https://enrich.chat/blog/apollo-chrome-extension/).

## How does Apollo compare with Enrich.chat's credit plans?

Enrich.chat costs less than Apollo for data-only work, and Apollo is better value when you use its sales tools. [Enrich.chat](https://enrich.chat/pricing/) sells monthly credit plans: Growth $29 for 100,000 credits, Scale $90 for 500,000 credits, Pro $299 for 2,500,000 credits. A verified work email costs 10 credits and a mobile 250. Plans are billed monthly with no annual contract, every plan has unlimited seats and every product, and a lookup that finds nothing costs 0 credits.

To be fair to Apollo, its enrichment also charges only when it finds data. The real gaps are per-seat pricing and the price of a mobile: Apollo charges per seat and 8 credits for a phone number, while an Enrich.chat plan covers your whole team. This table sets a few monthly workloads against each vendor's cheapest published plan.

| Monthly workload | Apollo credits | Cheapest Apollo plan that fits | Enrich.chat plan that fits |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| 100 emails and 20 mobiles | 260 | Basic monthly, $65; 2,240 credits expire | $29 a month (Growth plan, 6,000 credits) |
| 2,000 emails | 2,000 | Basic monthly, $65 | $29 a month (Growth plan, 20,000 credits) |
| 300 mobiles | 2,400 | Basic monthly, $65 | $29 a month (Growth plan, 75,000 credits) |
| 5 reps: 2,500 emails and 750 mobiles in total | 8,500 | 5 Basic seats, annual: $245 a month, paid yearly | $90 a month (Scale plan, 212,500 credits), unlimited seats |
| An agent that runs in some months only | Varies | A seat every month, used or not | One plan billed monthly, cancel anytime, or 10 free lookups a day |

Enrich.chat is built for AI agents. Your agent can add its keyless [MCP server](https://enrich.chat/install/), or read [agents.md](https://enrich.chat/agents.md) once and call a plain HTTPS API, with no SDK or extension. Every email comes back marked verified, catch_all or unknown. You can start with 10 free lookups a day, no signup. Run it on real rows before you buy seats:

```text
Use www.enrich.chat to enrich the first 20 rows of my lead list with verified work emails and mobiles. Mark misses as not found, flag catch-all emails, and tell me how many matched and the total credits_used.
```

Apollo is still the better choice in some cases, and Enrich.chat has real gaps to weigh:

- **Your team runs outreach in Apollo.** Sequences, the dialer, call recording and the Chrome extension come with the seat. Enrich.chat has no sequencing, dialer or Chrome extension.
- **You want a database to browse.** Apollo has a full prospecting app with filters and saved lists. Enrich.chat has no visual table builder: you search with `/v1/search` in plain English, or try the free [AI lead list builder](https://enrich.chat/tools/lead-list-builder/).
- **You want Apollo's MCP connector.** It works on your Apollo account and credits. Enrich.chat has an MCP server too, with no sign-in, but its tools are read-only data lookups.

## Frequently asked questions

### Is Apollo.io free?

Yes. Apollo's Free plan costs $0 with no time limit and gives each seat 75 credits a month, which buys 75 emails or 9 phone numbers. It includes 2 sequences, 250 email sends a day, basic filters, API access and the Chrome extension, but no dialer. Free accounts are limited to one seat after 100 days of use, per [Apollo's plan guide](https://knowledge.apollo.io/hc/en-us/articles/4677130104333-Customize-and-Manage-Your-Apollo-Plan). A 14-day trial of Basic or Professional adds 75 credits.

### How much does Apollo cost per user?

Apollo charges per seat. Billed annually, Basic is $49, Professional $79 and Organization $119 per seat per month. Billed monthly, Basic is $65 and Professional $99. Organization is annual only with a 3-seat minimum, so it costs at least $4,284 a year. Every seat on an account must be on the same plan, per the FAQ on [Apollo's pricing page](https://www.apollo.io/pricing), checked October 15, 2026.

### How many credits does an email or phone number cost on Apollo?

An email costs 1 credit and a phone number costs 8 credits, per [Apollo's About Credits page](https://www.apollo.io/pricing/about-credits). The email price covers a personal email, a business email or both, and Apollo never charges more than 1 credit per contact for email. Every verified phone number type costs the same 8 credits. Enriching data costs 1 to 8 credits, AI research 1 credit per run, and US calls 1 credit per 30 seconds.

### Do unused Apollo credits roll over?

No. Unused credits expire at the end of each billing cycle, and that includes add-on credits you bought, per [Apollo's About Credits page](https://www.apollo.io/pricing/about-credits). Monthly plans get a new grant each month. Annual plans get the whole year of credits on day one, and they expire when that annual cycle ends. Apollo refunds a credit only when an Apollo-verified email bounces after you send it from Apollo within 30 days. Mobile credits are never refunded.

### How do I buy more Apollo credits?

Admins buy add-on credits in Apollo under Settings, Plan and billing, Plan overview, then Manage Subscription. Add-on credits are sold on paid plans only. They are charged as soon as you add them, renew every billing cycle until you set them to zero, and expire with your plan credits. Apollo shows the price in the app, and its public pricing page does not list one, per [Apollo's plan guide](https://knowledge.apollo.io/hc/en-us/articles/4677130104333-Customize-and-Manage-Your-Apollo-Plan).

### Is there a cheaper alternative to Apollo for emails and mobiles?

For data alone, yes. Enrich.chat sells monthly credit plans: Growth $29 for 100,000 credits, Scale $90 for 500,000 credits, Pro $299 for 2,500,000 credits. A work email costs 10 credits and a mobile 250, and a lookup that finds nothing costs 0 credits. If you use every credit, that is $0.0029 per email and $0.0725 per mobile on Growth, against about $0.02 and $0.16 on Apollo's annual plans. Every plan has unlimited seats and every product, with no annual contract, and you get 10 free lookups a day without signing up. It has no sequencer, dialer or Chrome extension, so teams that run outreach in Apollo may still want a seat. See [Apollo alternatives](https://enrich.chat/alternatives/apollo/).
