# ContactOut pricing in 2026: plans, the US/UK toggle, the Unlimited caps and the real cost per contact

ContactOut sells an Email plan for $25 to $49 a month and an Email + Phone plan for $49 to $99, depending on one toggle. This guide covers what each plan includes, the caps behind Unlimited, the API, cancellation and what the same work costs on Enrich.chat.

**Short answer:** ContactOut's Email plan costs $49 a month and its Email + Phone plan $99 with US and UK data, or $25 and $49 without it, on [its pricing page](https://contactout.com/pricing) checked October 16, 2026. [Its terms](https://contactout.com/terms) cap Unlimited at 2,000 email and 1,000 phone credits a month per account, and every self-serve plan allows one user per company. The page lists API access and team plans as quote only.

## How much does ContactOut cost in 2026?

ContactOut's Email plan costs $49 a month and its Email + Phone plan costs $99 a month when you include US and UK data. Without that data they cost $25 and $49. We checked on October 16, 2026, on [ContactOut's pricing page](https://contactout.com/pricing). The page has a Free card, the two paid cards, a quote-only Team / API card and one toggle for data coverage.

Both paid cards show a struck-through list price next to the price you pay, $99 for Email and $199 for Email + Phone. The Free card says "Limited time only" and gives no end date. It also carries a data clause in section 5 of ContactOut's terms.

### What does the US/UK toggle change?

The toggle sets which countries a plan covers, and the Exclude view is half price. A tooltip says Exclude covers every country except the USA, Canada and the UK, and Include covers every country. Our browser opened on the cheaper Exclude view, so check the toggle before you read a price.

### Does ContactOut bill monthly or yearly?

The page shows monthly prices and no yearly switch to a signed-out visitor. [UpLead](https://www.uplead.com/contactout-pricing/), a competitor, reports $39 and $79 a month billed yearly in a guide updated October 2, 2026. We could not confirm that on ContactOut's page.

### What does the Team / API plan cost?

ContactOut does not publish it. The card says Contact us. A [sales page](https://contactout.com/sales-users) says a whole sales team can use ContactOut for less than $299 a month, paying for credits instead of seats. The pricing page shows no such plan, so treat it as an unpublished quote.

### Why do other guides show different ContactOut prices?

Most agree with the page. [Overloop](https://overloop.com/blog/contactout-pricing) (September 28, 2026) and [Saleshandy](https://www.saleshandy.com/blog/contactout-pricing/) (October 11, 2026) list the same prices, and both sell competing tools. [Tomba](https://tomba.io/blog/contactout-pricing) says plans start near $99 a month billed annually, and an undated [Salesforge overview](https://www.salesforge.ai/directory/sales-tools/contactout) lists a $79 Sales plan. Neither matches the page.

## What does a ContactOut credit buy, and what does a miss cost?

ContactOut sells allowances, not one kind of credit. Self-serve plans give unlimited emails, and unlimited phones on Email + Phone, inside fair-use caps, plus a monthly export cap. The API spends email, phone, search and verifier credits. No page we read says what a failed lookup costs on a self-serve plan.

- **Reveals and exports.** The [paid cards](https://contactout.com/pricing) list "Unlimited emails" and "Unlimited phones" under a fair-use policy, and cap exports at 300 or 600 a month. The Free card lists 5 of each a day. The pages we read do not define which actions use an export.
- **Renewal and rollover.** Limits are stated per month. No page we read promises that unused allowance carries over.
- **Team credit pools.** [A June 2023 help article](https://contactout.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/70000650435-buying-additional-credits-for-your-credit-pool) says a team buys credits in a window that shows an expiry date, and [a second article](https://contactout.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/70000650434-set-credit-limits-for-team-members) covers email and phone limits for each member.

The API is more exact. [ContactOut's API reference](https://api.contactout.com) states a cost for each call, and one of them charges for a miss.

- **A miss can cost a credit.** A LinkedIn Profile API call with no contact information costs 1 search credit, and so does a call with profile_only set.
- **Searches cost credits.** People and company searches charge 1 search credit for each result returned, before any reveal.
- **Free checks exist.** People Count and the contact checkers use no credits. Email Verifier uses a verifier credit for a valid, invalid or accept_all result.

## How much does one ContactOut contact really cost?

At full use, a ContactOut email costs about 1 to 2.5 cents and a contact with an email and a phone costs about 5 to 10 cents. At light use the same plan costs up to 99 cents a contact.

The maths divides the monthly price by the volume. It assumes one user, one month, every reveal succeeds and no tax, and it uses the caps in [section 10 of ContactOut's terms](https://contactout.com/terms). ContactOut does not say which actions use an export, so the export row is the high case.

Light users pay the most. On Email + Phone, 100 contacts a month cost $0.99 each with US and UK data, ten times the cost at the phone cap.

## Is ContactOut Unlimited really unlimited?

No. [Section 10 of ContactOut's terms](https://contactout.com/terms) sets a fair-use limit on paid unlimited plans of 2,000 email credits and 1,000 phone credits per account per month, unless a separate agreement says otherwise.

- **The tooltip says so.** The info icon next to "Unlimited" on the [pricing page](https://contactout.com/pricing) points to the fair use policy.
- **Exports are a second limit.** Email allows 300 a month and Email + Phone 600.
- **A higher limit needs an order form,** and ContactOut publishes no price for it.

## What are ContactOut's contract terms, renewal and cancellation?

[ContactOut's public terms](https://contactout.com/terms) do not state renewal, cancellation or refund rules. Section 2 says paid accounts follow a subscription agreement and order form, which win any conflict. We could not find either published, so ask for both before you pay.

- **Cancellation.** [A help center article](https://contactout.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/70000651572-cancel-subscriptions), last modified July 19, 2023, says to sign in, open your profile, choose Manage Subscription and click Cancel Subscription, which it says cancels "immediately". It does not say whether access runs to the end of the paid period.
- **Renewal and refunds.** The pricing page, the terms and the help articles we read state neither.
- **Changes.** Section 9 lets ContactOut change the terms at any time. The paid cards show struck-through list prices.
- **A data clause for free accounts.** Section 5 covers free or subsidized users who give ContactOut data, such as names or phone numbers of contacts. You grant a perpetual, irrevocable license to use, share and sublicense it, unless a Premium Services Agreement replaces the clause. Read it before you upload a customer list.
- **Law and liability.** The terms use Hong Kong law and courts, and section 12 caps ContactOut's liability for the site at $50 AUD. A paid agreement may differ.

The terms page carries no date. This is not legal advice, so have your own counsel read the order form.

## What hidden costs can raise a ContactOut bill?

The biggest extras are the US/UK toggle, the one-user limit and the dialer's pay-by-the-minute credits, all from ContactOut's own pages.

- **The coverage toggle.** Including US and UK data doubles the price on the [pricing page](https://contactout.com/pricing).
- **One user per company.** Each self-serve card says so, and team plans sit on the quote-only card. [A June 2023 help article says](https://contactout.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/70000650432-invite-members-to-your-team) paid members cannot be invited to a team.
- **The cloud dialer.** [ContactOut's dialer help article](https://contactout.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/70000681104-how-to-use-the-dialer) says you buy Calling Credits in dollars. Outbound calls start at $0.004 a minute plus SIP trunking from $0.010 a minute. Recording adds half a cent a minute, and a phone number starts at $1.5 a month. Calling credits do not renew automatically.
- **Caps with no listed top-up.** We found no self-serve way to lift the email, phone or export caps. The terms point to a separate agreement.
- **API quotas.** The API usage call shows prepaid credits left, or a postpaid quota that ends in overage charges or a disabled key, depending on the account.

## How much does the ContactOut API and MCP server cost?

ContactOut publishes no API price. [Its API docs](https://api.contactout.com) tell you to book a meeting for a key, and the pricing page lists API access only on the quote-only Team / API card. The docs give a credit cost for every call.

- **Limits.** The [docs](https://api.contactout.com) list 60 requests a minute for People Search, 150 for the contact checkers and 1,000 for other APIs. Running out of credits returns a 403.
- **Inputs.** The LinkedIn Profile API takes a regular LinkedIn URL, not a Sales Navigator or Recruiter URL. [A help article dated August 12, 2024 says](https://contactout.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/70000654467-data-discrepancy-between-contactout-chrome-extension-and-api) the API takes one input, so it can miss people the extension finds.
- **MCP.** ContactOut runs an MCP server at contactout.com/mcp with 15 tools. Its [MCP page](https://contactout.com/mcp-integration) offers 600 or more credits on sign-up, and the API docs say a free account or a meeting gets you a key.
- **Two pages disagree on searches.** The API docs charge a search credit for each profile returned. The MCP page says searches that reveal no contact use no credits. Ask which rule your key follows.

## How does the ContactOut extension work, and what does LinkedIn say about extensions?

ContactOut says its Chrome extension reads the LinkedIn page you have open and matches it to ContactOut's own database, with no automation. LinkedIn's help page says it does not permit browser extensions that scrape, modify or automate its site. We repeat both statements as written and take no side.

- **ContactOut's statement.** [A help article](https://contactout.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/70000654924-can-linkedin-detect-the-contactout-chrome-extension) dated September 14, 2023 says the extension looks at the URL and contents of the LinkedIn page you are on and provides no automation. It names using many tools at once as a common reason accounts get flagged.
- **What it sends.** ContactOut's [privacy policy](https://contactout.com/privacy_policy), effective January 1, 2017, says the extension may collect the profile URL, name and profile information of the person you look up, to match it to ContactOut's database.
- **Chrome Web Store.** On October 16, 2026 the [store listing](https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/email-finder-by-contactou/jjdemeiffadmmjhkbbpglgnlgeafomjo) showed 4.1 stars from 800 ratings and 700,000 users, updated May 17, 2026. The developer says it handles web history and website content.
- **LinkedIn's statement.** [LinkedIn's page on prohibited software](https://www.linkedin.com/help/linkedin/answer/a1341387), which read "Last updated: 2 years ago" with no calendar date, says LinkedIn does not permit third-party crawlers, bots, browser plug-ins or extensions that scrape, modify the appearance of or automate activity on its site. It says members who use them risk having accounts restricted or shut down.

We do not recommend installing any extension. To get contact data without using your own LinkedIn account at all, use a lookup that takes a profile URL as a key. ContactOut's API does, and so does Enrich.chat, which never logs in to LinkedIn. ## What does ContactOut say about accuracy, data sources and opt-out?

ContactOut makes an accuracy claim of 99% on its data page and 97% on its MCP page, and says its data comes from public web pages. These are ContactOut's own claims, and we did not test them.

- **Accuracy and coverage claims.** [Its data page](https://contactout.com/our-data) says emails and phones are triple-verified with 99% confidence. [The MCP page](https://contactout.com/mcp-integration) claims 97% email accuracy, and [the extension page](https://contactout.com/chrome-extension) claims contact details for 75% of people on LinkedIn. ContactOut's pages also give database totals that range from 350 million to 800 million professionals.
- **How some emails are built.** The August 2024 help article says ContactOut work emails fall into three groups: addresses with open signals, "engineered" addresses checked by SMTP, and engineered addresses where the check gave an unknown result. In plain terms, some addresses are pattern-built, so check the status before you send.
- **Sources.** ContactOut's [privacy policy](https://contactout.com/privacy_policy) says its service aggregates personal information such as email addresses from publicly available sources on the internet. Its [privacy page](https://contactout.com/privacy) cites the GDPR basis of data made manifestly public, plus legitimate interest. Those are legal positions, not findings.
- **Opt-out.** ContactOut's [removal page](https://contactout.com/optout) asks you to verify your email by link and says it will delete your profile within 24 hours. The policy also lists support@contactout.com. We did not submit either.
- **Reviews.** ContactOut's own extension page shows 4.6 stars for G2 and 4.4 for Chrome, while the store listing showed 4.1. On [Trustpilot](https://www.trustpilot.com/review/contactout.com), ContactOut had 134 reviews, a 1.2 TrustScore and 88% at one star on October 16, 2026. Most recent reviews we read come from people who say their details appear on ContactOut without consent, plus a few about billing. Reviews are one side of a dispute.

## When is ContactOut the better choice?

ContactOut is the better choice when one person prospects by hand, needs personal emails, or wants campaigns, a dialer and ATS links in one app. It also wins on flat price for one heavy user inside the caps.

- **A point-and-click workflow.** ContactOut has a browser extension, a search portal with 20 or more filters and a free daily allowance of 5 emails, 5 phones and 5 exports. Read LinkedIn's rules on extensions first.
- **One user with high volume.** Under [its terms](https://contactout.com/terms), the Email plan allows up to 2,000 emails a month for $49, or $25 without US and UK data. Email + Phone allows up to 1,000 phones for $99, or $49.
- **Personal emails.** ContactOut's API can return personal emails, work emails or both. Enrich.chat's email lookup covers work emails.
- **Built-in outreach.** The Email plan adds email campaigns and a list builder. Email + Phone adds data enrichment and an AI email writer. A cloud dialer sells calls by the minute.
- **Contacts outside the US and UK.** The Exclude view halves the price for them.

### Which ContactOut plan suits which buyer?

- **Free:** a quick test of the extension and search portal, with 5 reveals a day.
- **Email:** a solo seller or recruiter who needs emails and not phones.
- **Email + Phone:** a solo user who needs up to 1,000 phones a month.
- **Team / API:** teams, API users and anyone who needs a higher cap, on a quote.

ContactOut's half-price view costs less than Enrich.chat on the first three rows, but it leaves out the USA, Canada and the UK, so check where your contacts live first. Pro-rated at the plan rate, 500 contacts with an email and a mobile are worth $23.40 of Enrich.chat credits, but the plan price is what you pay. Credits renew with each monthly payment, and unused credits do not roll over. Each IP gets 10 free lookups a day without signup, and the full rates are on the [pricing page](https://enrich.chat/pricing/).

Enrich.chat returns people, work emails, mobiles and company profiles over a plain HTTPS API. A lookup takes a LinkedIn URL, a work email, or a name plus a company website. Each work email comes back as verified, catch_all or unknown, and each mobile is labeled mobile or unknown by line type. Every match shows credits_used. ### How do I remove my data from ContactOut?

ContactOut's [removal page](https://contactout.com/optout) asks you to verify your email by link and says it will delete your profile within 24 hours. Its [privacy policy](https://contactout.com/privacy_policy) also lists support@contactout.com for removal requests. We did not submit either, so we cannot say how fast it works. Enrich.chat has its own [opt-out page](https://enrich.chat/opt-out/), processed within 15 days.
