# HubSpot and Clearbit in 2026: what Breeze Intelligence became and which Clearbit tools ended

HubSpot's help pages no longer use the Breeze Intelligence name. We read HubSpot's and Clearbit's own pages on October 16, 2026 to show what each Clearbit product became, when it changed, and what to do next.

By Enrich.chat Editorial. Updated October 16, 2026.

**Short answer:** HubSpot finished buying Clearbit in December 2023 and launched its data as Breeze Intelligence in September 2024. HubSpot's help articles now call it [data enrichment](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/records/get-started-with-data-enrichment), with buyer intent and form shortening beside it. Clearbit sells no new standalone plans, and its free tools closed on April 30, 2025.

## Key takeaways

- HubSpot announced the Clearbit deal on November 1, 2023. Its completion release is dated December 4, 2023, and its annual report gives December 1, 2023 as the closing date.
- HubSpot's enrichment article carried the Breeze Intelligence title when last updated on June 2, 2025. By October 7, 2025 it was titled data enrichment.
- Enrichment, buyer intent and form shortening live on in HubSpot. Clearbit Connect, the TAM Calculator and the Weekly Visitor Report ended on April 30, 2025, and the Logo API on December 8, 2025.
- Clearbit's help center says it sells no new standalone subscriptions. Its release notes, last updated November 24, 2025, give no end date for its paid APIs.
- HubSpot's list of enrichable contact properties has no email address or mobile number.

## What happened to Clearbit after HubSpot bought it?

HubSpot folded Clearbit's data into HubSpot, then closed the free Clearbit tools in 2025. HubSpot [announced the deal on November 1, 2023](https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1404655/000095017023057150/hubs-ex99_1.htm). Its [completion release](https://www.hubspot.com/company-news/hubspot-completes-acquisition-of-b2b-intelligence-leader-clearbit) is dated December 4, 2023 and says Clearbit would become an offering inside HubSpot's customer platform over time. HubSpot's [annual report](https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1404655/000095017024015277/hubs-20231231.htm) gives December 1, 2023 as the day it acquired all of Clearbit's shares. For the price HubSpot paid and what its data costs now, see our [Clearbit pricing guide](https://enrich.chat/blog/clearbit-pricing/).

The product changes came in steps, each dated in [Clearbit's release notes](https://clearbit.com/changelog). From December 5, 2023, new Clearbit sign-ups needed a HubSpot account, while customers who signed up before December 4 kept their logins. On March 19, 2024, Clearbit announced Clearbit by HubSpot, a version built around HubSpot with enrichment, forms, target markets and visitors. On [September 18, 2024](https://www.hubspot.com/company-news/spotlight-product-deep-dive-the-complete-customer-picture-with-breeze-intelligence-hubspots-new-data-enrichment-and-buyer-intent-solution), HubSpot launched Breeze Intelligence in public beta, with data enrichment, buyer intent and form shortening. A [February 13, 2025 notice](https://clearbit.com/blog/the-future-of-clearbits-free-tools) then set April 30, 2025 as the end of the free tools.

Most pages that rank for this search are out of date. HubSpot's own [Clearbit by HubSpot page](https://www.hubspot.com/products/clearbit) still says "We acquired Clearbit earlier this year", which is 2023 wording. Clearbit's [home page](https://clearbit.com/) says Clearbit has joined HubSpot and still lists enrichment, buying intent and form shortening as features. Both pages were live on October 16, 2026. Figure 1 uses only dated sources.

**Figure 1: Clearbit and HubSpot timeline, 2023 to 2026.** Nine dated events. HubSpot agreed to buy Clearbit on November 1, 2023, closed the deal on December 1 and announced completion on December 4. New Clearbit sign-ups needed a HubSpot account from December 5, 2023. Clearbit by HubSpot launched on March 19, 2024, and Breeze Intelligence entered public beta on September 18, 2024. Clearbit's free tools ended on April 30, 2025. Between June and October 2025 HubSpot's article dropped the Breeze Intelligence name for data enrichment. The Logo API ended on December 8, 2025.

## What is Breeze Intelligence called now?

HubSpot's help articles now call it data enrichment, and they call its visitor tools buyer intent. The Breeze Intelligence name is gone from the HubSpot articles we read on October 16, 2026. The change happened between June and October 2025, judging by two versions of one HubSpot article.

The June 2, 2025 version, in an [Internet Archive copy](https://web.archive.org/web/20250622202401/https://knowledge.hubspot.com/ai-tools/get-started-using-breeze-intelligence), was titled *Get started with Breeze Intelligence enrichment*. It said enrichment used a credit-based billing system. The October 7, 2025 version, in a [later copy](https://web.archive.org/web/20251110033841/https://knowledge.hubspot.com/ai-tools/get-started-using-breeze-intelligence), is titled *Get started with data enrichment*. It says accounts on Starter, Professional or Enterprise do not use HubSpot Credits for it. The old address now [redirects to the current article](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/ai-tools/get-started-using-breeze-intelligence), and HubSpot's [data enrichment product page](https://www.hubspot.com/products/crm/data-enrichment) still links to the old address. We found no HubSpot post announcing the rename, so treat June to October 2025 as a window, not a day.

Here is what each name means in HubSpot today:

- **Data enrichment** fills contact and company properties. HubSpot's [getting started article](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/records/get-started-with-data-enrichment) is the main reference.
- **Buyer intent** shows which companies visit your site or research your topics. It sits under Marketing, then Buyer Intent, with Visitors, Research and Signals tabs, per [HubSpot's buyer intent FAQ](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/data-management/buyer-intent-intent-signals-and-custom-signals-frequently-asked-questions). HubSpot's [product catalog](https://legal.hubspot.com/hubspot-product-and-services-catalog) lists intent under the heading Intent, Powered by Data Agent.
- **Form shortening** hides form fields that enrichment can fill.
- **Breeze** is HubSpot's name for its AI features in general, such as Breeze Assistant. It is no longer the name of the data product.
- **Clearbit by HubSpot** is the name on HubSpot's [older product page](https://www.hubspot.com/products/clearbit) and on existing customers' accounts, per Clearbit's [help center](https://web.archive.org/web/20250807091411/https://help.clearbit.com/hc/en-us/articles/20717192156695-How-Can-I-Buy-Clearbit).

The catalog, which we searched on October 16, 2026, lists neither Breeze Intelligence nor Clearbit. Older Clearbit pages still use the old name. So a guide about Breeze Intelligence pricing means these three features on a paid HubSpot plan.

## What did each Clearbit product turn into or end as?

Enrichment, visitor identification and form shortening moved into HubSpot. The free tools ended in 2025. Prospector and the paid API have no published end date and no named successor. Figure 2 sets each old product beside its current home or end date.

**Figure 2: What each Clearbit product became.** Eight old Clearbit products and where each stands today. Enrichment became HubSpot data enrichment. Reveal and the Weekly Visitor Report became the Visitors tab of buyer intent, and the report ended on April 30, 2025. Form shortening became HubSpot form shortening, which has used no credits since September 3, 2025. Target Markets and the TAM Calculator became a target market setup in buyer intent. Prospector has no named successor and no published end date. Connect, the free platform and the Slack app ended on April 30, 2025. The Logo API ended on December 8, 2025. The paid API and dashboard serve existing customers only, with no end date published.

*Where each Clearbit product stands on October 16, 2026. The details behind each row:

- **Enrichment.** It is now HubSpot's data enrichment. For a contact, HubSpot starts from first name, last name and work email, and for a company from the domain, per [HubSpot's explainer](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/records/how-data-enrichment-works-in-hubspot). It fills fields such as job title, seniority, LinkedIn URL and location. Its [property list](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/records/enrich-your-contact-and-company-data), updated October 7, 2026, has no contact email or mobile, though company records can get a main phone number. Our [HubSpot enrichment guide](https://enrich.chat/integrations/hubspot/) covers filling those gaps.
- **Reveal and the Weekly Visitor Report.** The report ended on April 30, 2025, and Clearbit's notice pointed users to buyer intent. In HubSpot, the Visitors tab matches visits from the HubSpot tracking code to companies, per the [buyer intent article](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/reports/use-buyer-intent). HubSpot's [FAQ](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/data-management/buyer-intent-intent-signals-and-custom-signals-frequently-asked-questions) says Visitors uses HubSpot's own reverse-IP technology. An older tool, Website Visits (formerly Prospects), uses third-party data and has its roadmap investment paused. Clearbit's release notes give no end date for the Reveal API.
- **Form shortening.** HubSpot's [form shortening article](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/forms/use-form-shortening), updated July 10, 2026, says the form first shows only the email field. It then hides fields that enrichment can fill and no other source has set. It works only with the updated form editor, and since September 3, 2025 it uses no HubSpot Credits.
- **Target Markets and the TAM Calculator.** The TAM Calculator ended with the free tools. Clearbit's notice said Breeze Intelligence lets you find companies in your target market and size it. HubSpot's buyer intent setup asks you to define a target market.
- **Prospector.** Clearbit's release notes say Prospector joined the Clearbit platform on November 21, 2023. The March 2024 launch of Clearbit by HubSpot and the February 2025 notice do not mention it. We found no end date and no successor. HubSpot's enrichment fills no contact emails or phones, so plan another source if you used Prospector to find contacts.
- **Connect, the free platform and the Slack app.** All three ended on April 30, 2025, along with the free Name to Domain and Risk APIs, per Clearbit's [archived help page](https://web.archive.org/web/20250807091411/https://help.clearbit.com/hc/en-us/articles/31990018203031-Clearbit-Free-Tools-Sunset-April-30th-2025). Clearbit said HubSpot's Smart CRM covers the Slack use case and named no successor for Connect. See our [Clearbit Connect alternatives](https://enrich.chat/alternatives/clearbit-connect/).
- **Logo API.** It ended on December 8, 2025, after an announced December 1 date moved, per the [release notes](https://clearbit.com/changelog). Clearbit pointed users to Logo.dev.
- **The paid API and dashboard.** Clearbit's help center, last updated April 30, 2025, says it sells no new standalone subscriptions. Existing customers still have a login. On October 16, 2026, clearbit.com/docs redirected to that login and clearbit.com/pricing redirected to the home page. The release notes give no end date for the paid APIs.

HubSpot describes enrichment as a feature of HubSpot records. In the articles we read, we found no lookup endpoint that you can call from your own code. If your code called Clearbit, use the checklist further down.

## Which HubSpot hubs and seats include it?

Only paid editions list it. HubSpot's articles name Starter, Professional and Enterprise editions of several hubs, and none lists the free tools. The table shows what each article said on October 16, 2026.

| HubSpot feature | Editions that list it | What else it needs |
| --- | --- | --- |
| [Data enrichment](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/records/get-started-with-data-enrichment) | Marketing, Sales, Service, Data and Content Hub: Starter, Professional, Enterprise. Smart CRM: Professional, Enterprise. Revenue Hub: Professional, Enterprise, in two of four articles | Super Admin, or a user with Data enrichment access. Uses no HubSpot Credits |
| [Form shortening](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/forms/use-form-shortening) | The same list, without Revenue Hub | Enrichment settings set up, the updated form editor, and Data management access. No credits since September 3, 2025 |
| [Buyer intent](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/reports/use-buyer-intent) | Marketing, Sales, Service, Data and Content Hub: Starter, Professional, Enterprise. Revenue Hub: Professional, Enterprise | The HubSpot tracking code, a seat, and credits or a seat plan that includes them. Viewing Visitors and Research costs no credits, but adding or tracking a company does, and seeing more than 20 companies a view needs credits on the account |

Seats matter too. HubSpot's [product catalog](https://legal.hubspot.com/hubspot-product-and-services-catalog) says a Core Seat grants access to enriched data, Breeze Assistant and Smart CRM. HubSpot flags its enrichment article as needing seats for certain features, and its buyer intent article as needing seats. The catalog also says customers on flexible seats-and-credits pricing have no Core Seats and a different rate sheet, so check your order form. Seat and credit prices are in our [Clearbit pricing guide](https://enrich.chat/blog/clearbit-pricing/).

HubSpot's articles disagree on one point. Two list Revenue Hub for enrichment, at Professional and Enterprise, and two do not. If Revenue Hub is your only paid hub, ask HubSpot before you plan around enrichment.

## How do you switch it on and check what it filled in?

A Super Admin turns enrichment on under Settings, then Data Management, then Data Enrichment. It is off by default. You then check each record's timeline, a Has been enriched property and an activity log.

### Turn it on

1. Check eligibility. Per [HubSpot](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/records/enrich-your-contact-and-company-data), contacts need a business email, and Gmail or Yahoo addresses are not enriched. Companies need a domain.
2. In Settings, go to Data Management, then Data Enrichment. On the Settings tab, switch on Automatically enrich new records, Continuously enrich existing records, or both. Contacts and companies have separate settings, per the [settings article](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/records/manage-data-enrichment-settings).
3. On the Mapping tab, pick an overwrite rule for each property: fill empty values only, fill and overwrite, or do not fill. Changes apply to future enrichment only.
4. Under Users & Teams, give people the Data enrichment access permission. Super Admins can always enrich.
5. Enrich records by hand from a record's Intelligence tab, in bulk from an index page (up to 100 records at a time), from a segment or an import, or with the Enrich record workflow action.

### Check what it filled in

- On a record, open the Activities tab and filter by Enrichment. A Record Enriched card lists the properties it filled, and you can open a property's history.
- Filter any view, segment or report for Has been enriched equal to True.
- In Settings, open Data Enrichment, then the Activity tab. It lists each run by time, source and user. Select Details, then Revert enrichment, to undo changes.
- On form submissions, properties filled by enrichment carry an AI icon, per the [form shortening article](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/forms/use-form-shortening).

Two cautions. HubSpot's [FAQ](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/records/get-started-with-data-enrichment) says existing values are kept unless you choose to overwrite them, but the Enrich record workflow action ignores the mapping rules if you set it to overwrite. And HubSpot says it may add limited business contact data from verified enrichment to its commercial dataset, unless you use only continuous enrichment. Ask your privacy team before you switch it on. Our guide to [CRM data enrichment](https://enrich.chat/blog/crm-data-enrichment/) covers what to enrich and how often.

## What should you do if you do not use HubSpot?

Match each Clearbit job to a replacement, because HubSpot's enrichment works only on HubSpot records. Figure 3 gives the short version.

**Figure 3: Which path fits your Clearbit use.** A two-way split. If your records live in HubSpot, use data enrichment, buyer intent and form shortening, start at Settings, Data Management, Data Enrichment, and check the Activity tab. If they do not, match what you used: Clearbit API calls need a swapped API with fields mapped and tested, Reveal needs an IP lookup API, Clearbit Connect needs another Gmail extension, and the Logo API needs Logo.dev, which Clearbit named.

*Pick the row that matches how you used Clearbit. Sources: [Clearbit's February 2025 notice](https://clearbit.com/blog/the-future-of-clearbits-free-tools), [Clearbit release notes](https://clearbit.com/changelog), [HubSpot settings article](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/records/manage-data-enrichment-settings).*

- **API calls from code or an automation tool:** start with our [Clearbit alternatives](https://enrich.chat/alternatives/clearbit/). It maps each old endpoint to a replacement.
- **The Gmail extension:** see the [Clearbit Connect alternatives](https://enrich.chat/alternatives/clearbit-connect/).
- **Comparing one rival:** read [Clearbit vs Apollo](https://enrich.chat/compare/clearbit-vs-apollo/).
- **A wider list:** see the [best data enrichment tools](https://enrich.chat/blog/best-data-enrichment-tools/) and our guide to [data enrichment platforms](https://enrich.chat/blog/data-enrichment-platforms/).
- **Visitor identification:** HubSpot's buyer intent works only with HubSpot's tracking code. Our guide to [intent data](https://enrich.chat/blog/intent-data/) explains the options, and the Clearbit alternatives page lists IP lookup APIs.
- **The basics:** read [what data enrichment is](https://enrich.chat/blog/what-is-data-enrichment/).

## How do you migrate off the Clearbit API?

List what you call, read your contract, map the fields, then run old and new side by side. Work through this checklist:

1. **List every Clearbit call.** Search your code, warehouse jobs, automation tools and CRM apps for Clearbit hosts and keys. Note which product each one uses: Enrichment, Prospector, Reveal, Autocomplete, Name to Domain, Risk or Logo.
2. **Save the documentation.** On October 16, 2026, clearbit.com/docs redirected to the customer login. Copy the pages you need and your field mappings while you still have access.
3. **Read your contract.** Clearbit's help center says it sells no new standalone subscriptions, and its release notes give no end date for paid APIs. The HubSpot pages we read have no migration steps for existing Clearbit contracts. Ask your account contact for the end date and renewal terms in writing.
4. **Remove calls that relied on free access.** The free Name to Domain and Risk APIs ended on April 30, 2025. Per the [June 10, 2025 notice](https://clearbit.com/changelog), the logo field in Autocomplete was due to return null from September 9, 2025, and the Logo API ended on December 8, 2025.
5. **If your data lives in HubSpot, test its enrichment on one segment.** Compare its fields with the ones you used, and note that it fills no contact email or mobile.
6. **If code made the calls, pick an API that takes the same inputs,** usually an email or a domain. Use the endpoint and field tables in our [Clearbit alternatives](https://enrich.chat/alternatives/clearbit/) guide to rewrite each call.
7. **Run old and new side by side** on a sample of records you already hold. Compare field by field, handle empty results so a miss cannot break your code, and move traffic only when the gaps are acceptable.

## What can Enrich.chat add for contacts HubSpot leaves blank?

Enrich.chat can fill work emails and mobiles that HubSpot's enrichment leaves blank, over a REST API or an MCP server. It does not replace the rest of what Clearbit did. Enrich.chat has no HubSpot app or marketplace listing, no form shortening, and no visitor reveal or IP lookup. It also has no buyer intent, no logos and no Gmail extension.

What it does: `GET /v1/person` takes a LinkedIn URL, a work email, or a name plus a company website. Personal mailboxes such as Gmail are not looked up, and a company name on its own is not supported. Ask for `fields=email, mobile` and each work email comes back as verified, catch_all or unknown, and each mobile with a line of mobile or unknown. A work email found uses 10 credits, a mobile uses 250, and a lookup that finds nothing uses 0. Each response shows `credits_used`. The rates are on the [pricing page](https://enrich.chat/pricing/).

HubSpot's enrichment already fills the LinkedIn URL on contacts, which is the best key to send. Treat every result as a strong lead, not a guarantee. A line type describes the number, not who answers it. You are responsible for TCPA, CAN-SPAM and GDPR rules, and anyone can opt out at [enrich.chat/opt-out](https://enrich.chat/opt-out/).

Your agent reads [agents.md](https://enrich.chat/agents.md) or adds the [MCP server](https://enrich.chat/install/). The free tier needs no API key, and each IP gets 10 lookups a day. Keep batches to about one request a second. To write results back to HubSpot, use the routes in our [HubSpot enrichment guide](https://enrich.chat/integrations/hubspot/) and [HubSpot MCP guide](https://enrich.chat/blog/hubspot-mcp/). For a single person, try the free [LinkedIn email finder](https://enrich.chat/tools/linkedin-email-finder/), and see the [person enrichment API](https://enrich.chat/api/person-enrichment/) page for a full response. To try a batch, paste this into ChatGPT, Claude or Cursor:

```text
Use www.enrich.chat to find the work email and mobile that HubSpot's enrichment left blank. For each contact below, use the LinkedIn URL, or else the name and company website. Return each work email with its status and each mobile with its line type, mark misses as not found, and tell me the total credits_used: [paste contacts]
```

### When is HubSpot the better choice?

HubSpot's enrichment is the better choice when your records, forms and workflows already live in HubSpot and a seat is already paid for. It enriches new records on its own, can keep them updated every month, shortens forms and shows which companies visit your site. Enrich.chat fits better when an app or AI agent makes the call, when you need work emails or mobiles that HubSpot does not fill, or when you want monthly credit plans with unlimited seats and no annual contract.

## Frequently asked questions

### Is Clearbit part of HubSpot now?

Yes. HubSpot announced the deal on [November 1, 2023](https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1404655/000095017023057150/hubs-ex99_1.htm), and its [completion release](https://www.hubspot.com/company-news/hubspot-completes-acquisition-of-b2b-intelligence-leader-clearbit) is dated December 4, 2023. Its [annual report](https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1404655/000095017024015277/hubs-20231231.htm) says it acquired all of Clearbit's shares on December 1, 2023. Clearbit's [home page](https://clearbit.com/) now says Clearbit has joined HubSpot. Clearbit keeps a login for existing customers but sells no new standalone plans. See our [Clearbit pricing guide](https://enrich.chat/blog/clearbit-pricing/).

### What is Breeze Intelligence called now?

HubSpot's help articles call it data enrichment, with buyer intent and form shortening beside it. The enrichment article carried the [Breeze Intelligence title on June 2, 2025](https://web.archive.org/web/20250622202401/https://knowledge.hubspot.com/ai-tools/get-started-using-breeze-intelligence) and the [data enrichment title by October 7, 2025](https://web.archive.org/web/20251110033841/https://knowledge.hubspot.com/ai-tools/get-started-using-breeze-intelligence). HubSpot's [product catalog](https://legal.hubspot.com/hubspot-product-and-services-catalog) lists neither name. Breeze now names HubSpot's AI features in general. Older Clearbit pages and many guides still use the old name.

### Can you still buy Clearbit on its own?

No. Clearbit's [help center](https://web.archive.org/web/20250807091411/https://help.clearbit.com/hc/en-us/articles/20717192156695-How-Can-I-Buy-Clearbit), last updated April 30, 2025, says it no longer offers new standalone subscriptions and points new buyers to HubSpot. Since December 5, 2023, new Clearbit sign-ups have needed a HubSpot account, per its [release notes](https://clearbit.com/changelog). Existing customers keep their logins, and the release notes give no end date for the paid APIs. Ask your account contact about renewal.

### Which HubSpot plans include Clearbit's old features?

HubSpot's [data enrichment article](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/records/get-started-with-data-enrichment) lists Starter, Professional and Enterprise editions of Marketing, Sales, Service, Data and Content Hub, and Professional and Enterprise Smart CRM. It lists no free tier and says enrichment uses no HubSpot Credits. [Buyer intent](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/reports/use-buyer-intent) also needs a seat, plus credits or a seat plan that includes them. Prices are in our [Clearbit pricing guide](https://enrich.chat/blog/clearbit-pricing/).

### What replaced Clearbit Reveal and the Weekly Visitor Report?

HubSpot's buyer intent. The Weekly Visitor Report ended on April 30, 2025, and Clearbit's [notice](https://clearbit.com/blog/the-future-of-clearbits-free-tools) pointed to buyer intent for visitor data. In HubSpot, the Visitors tab matches visits tracked by the HubSpot tracking code to companies, per its [buyer intent article](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/reports/use-buyer-intent). Clearbit's release notes give no end date for the Reveal API, which new customers cannot buy on its own.

### What can I use instead of Clearbit if I do not use HubSpot?

Match each Clearbit job to a replacement. For API enrichment, see our [Clearbit alternatives](https://enrich.chat/alternatives/clearbit/). For the Gmail extension, see the [Clearbit Connect alternatives](https://enrich.chat/alternatives/clearbit-connect/). Enrich.chat has no HubSpot app, form shortening or visitor reveal, but its API and MCP server look up work emails and mobiles, and each IP gets 10 lookups a day, free and without signup.
