# HubSpot MCP in 2026: connect Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor, then enrich your contacts

HubSpot's remote MCP server can now read and update your CRM. Here is how to connect it in each client, what it can and cannot touch, and how to fill missing emails and mobiles from Claude.

By Enrich.chat Editorial. Updated October 15, 2026.

**Short answer:** HubSpot's official MCP server runs at mcp.hubspot.com and has been [generally available to all HubSpot accounts since April 13, 2026](https://developers.hubspot.com/changelog/remote-hubspot-mcp-server-is-now-generally-available). It lets Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and other MCP clients search, create and update contacts, companies, deals, tickets and activities under your HubSpot permissions. It cannot delete records or find data you do not have, so pair it with Enrich.chat to fill missing emails and mobiles.

## Key takeaways

- HubSpot's remote MCP server at mcp.hubspot.com became generally available on April 13, 2026, for all HubSpot accounts, with no separate fee listed.
- It can create and update contacts, companies, deals, tickets, leads, custom object records and activities. No tool deletes records.
- Write tools ask you to confirm first, and HubSpot's Claude and ChatGPT connectors update at most 10 records at a time.
- Guides that call it read-only describe the 2025 ChatGPT connector or HubSpot's older MCP overview page.
- HubSpot MCP reads the gaps in your CRM. Enrich.chat fills missing work emails (10 credits each) and mobiles (250 credits each), and a miss uses 0 credits.

## What is the HubSpot MCP server?

The HubSpot MCP server is HubSpot's official bridge between AI tools and your CRM. It is a remote server at `https://mcp.hubspot.com` that lets an agent search, read and update HubSpot records under your own user permissions, per [HubSpot's integration guide](https://developers.hubspot.com/docs/apps/developer-platform/build-apps/integrate-with-the-remote-hubspot-mcp-server). It became [generally available to all HubSpot accounts on April 13, 2026](https://developers.hubspot.com/changelog/remote-hubspot-mcp-server-is-now-generally-available). MCP, the [Model Context Protocol](https://modelcontextprotocol.io/docs/getting-started/intro), is an open-source standard for connecting AI apps to outside systems.

"HubSpot MCP" can mean four different things, and most confusing tutorials mix them up. Here is each one as of October 15, 2026:

| Option | What it is for | How you connect | Status |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| HubSpot connector for Claude or ChatGPT | HubSpot data inside the chat app | Install it from the app directory and sign in to HubSpot ([Claude guide](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/integrations/set-up-and-use-the-hubspot-connector-for-claude), [ChatGPT guide](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/integrations/connect-your-hubspot-account-to-chatgpt)) | Live on all HubSpot plans |
| Remote HubSpot MCP server | The same CRM tools for Cursor, Claude Code or your own agent | `mcp.hubspot.com` with OAuth and PKCE, using credentials you create in HubSpot | Generally available since April 13, 2026 |
| Developer MCP server | Building HubSpot apps and CMS assets | Run `hs mcp setup` with HubSpot CLI 8.2.0 or later ([setup guide](https://developers.hubspot.com/docs/developer-tooling/local-development/mcp-server)) | [Generally available since February 19, 2026](https://developers.hubspot.com/changelog/hubspot-developer-mcp-server-for-app-and-cms-development-now-in-ga) |
| `@hubspot/mcp-server` on npm | The 2025 beta, run on your own computer | A private app access token in your client config ([beta notice](https://developers.hubspot.com/changelog/mcp-server-beta)) | Last [npm release](https://www.npmjs.com/package/@hubspot/mcp-server) 0.4.0, June 18, 2025 |

The connectors run on the remote server. [HubSpot's docs](https://developers.hubspot.com/docs/build-with-ai/remote-mcp-server) say its AI connectors for Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini and Microsoft Copilot are powered by it, and [Claude's directory listing](https://claude.com/marketplace/connectors/hubspot) points to `mcp.hubspot.com/anthropic` with 36 tools. If you only want HubSpot data in Claude or ChatGPT, use the connector. If you use Cursor or build your own agent, use the remote server directly.

## Can the HubSpot MCP server write to HubSpot, or is it read-only?

It can write. HubSpot's current [integration guide](https://developers.hubspot.com/docs/apps/developer-platform/build-apps/integrate-with-the-remote-hubspot-mcp-server) lists create and edit access for contacts, companies, deals, tickets, leads, line items, products and custom object records. It can also create and edit calls, emails, meetings, notes and tasks. No tool deletes anything. [HubSpot's Claude guide](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/integrations/set-up-and-use-the-hubspot-connector-for-claude) says the connector "supports view, create, and update actions but does not support delete operations."

So why do so many guides call it read-only? Because parts of it were, and some HubSpot pages still say so:

- The [ChatGPT deep research connector](https://developers.hubspot.com/blog/hubspot-deepresearch-connector), launched on June 4, 2025 on a remote MCP server, had read access only. The [July 24, 2025 update](https://developers.hubspot.com/changelog/hubspot-connector-chatgpt) still described read-only access to contacts, companies, deals and tickets.
- HubSpot's [MCP overview page](https://developers.hubspot.com/mcp) still tells you to create a user-level app with read scopes, and its FAQ describes read-only access to standard records. The same page promises OAuth 2.1 support "later in 2025", so it predates the April 2026 release.
- The FAQ in HubSpot's [ChatGPT connector article](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/integrations/connect-your-hubspot-account-to-chatgpt), updated September 28, 2026, repeats the read-only line. The same article says the connector can create and update CRM records and log activities.
- The [GA announcement](https://developers.hubspot.com/changelog/remote-hubspot-mcp-server-is-now-generally-available) itself was edited on April 15, 2026 to correct its read and write lists.

When pages disagree, trust the integration guide and the GA changelog, which describe the server as it runs now. Writes still need your approval: `manage_crm_objects` shows a summary of the changes and waits for your explicit confirmation.

**Figure 1: HubSpot MCP releases from beta to general availability.** Seven dated events. The local MCP server entered public beta on May 6, 2025 and could write. The ChatGPT deep research connector launched on June 4, 2025 and was read-only, and its July 24, 2025 expansion stayed read-only. The developer MCP server became generally available on February 19, 2026. The remote MCP server became generally available on April 13, 2026 with create and update access, and HubSpot corrected the access list on April 15, 2026. On October 15, 2026 the docs list create and edit but no delete, while the overview page still mentions read scopes.

*The 2025 ChatGPT connector was read-only, and HubSpot's overview page still carries 2025 wording, which is why guides disagree. Sources: [beta notice](https://developers.hubspot.com/changelog/mcp-server-beta), [deep research launch](https://developers.hubspot.com/blog/hubspot-deepresearch-connector), [ChatGPT changelog](https://developers.hubspot.com/changelog/hubspot-connector-chatgpt), [GA changelog](https://developers.hubspot.com/changelog/remote-hubspot-mcp-server-is-now-generally-available).*

## What can the HubSpot MCP server read and write?

The HubSpot MCP server reads almost everything a HubSpot user can see, and writes to the core CRM, activities and marketing content. Figure 2 maps each data type from [HubSpot's integration guide](https://developers.hubspot.com/docs/apps/developer-platform/build-apps/integrate-with-the-remote-hubspot-mcp-server), checked October 15, 2026. HubSpot labels revenue objects, such as products, quotes and invoices, as beta for reading.

**Figure 2: What the HubSpot MCP server can read and write.** A matrix of ten data types. Contacts, companies, deals, tickets and leads, custom object records, activities, pages and blog posts, and campaigns can be read and written. Products and line items are beta for reading and writable. Quotes are beta for both. Carts, invoices, orders and subscriptions are beta for reading and not writable. Users, teams, owners and seats are read-only. Sensitive Data properties are blocked. No tool deletes records.

*Read and write access of the remote HubSpot MCP server. Quotes also need Revenue Hub Professional or Enterprise. Your own HubSpot permissions still apply to every call. Source: [HubSpot's integration guide](https://developers.hubspot.com/docs/apps/developer-platform/build-apps/integrate-with-the-remote-hubspot-mcp-server), checked October 15, 2026.*

The tools are generic, not one per object. These are the ones you will use most for CRM work, with the limits from the same guide:

| Tool | What it does | Limit |
| --- | --- | --- |
| `get_user_details` | Shows your account, permissions and the tools you can use | Call it first in a session |
| `search_crm_objects` | Filters records, such as contacts with no mobile | 200 results per page, 5 filter groups of 6 filters |
| `get_crm_objects` | Fetches records by ID | 100 IDs per request |
| `query_crm_data` | SQL-style counts and aggregates | No joins, subqueries or association traversal |
| `search_properties` | Finds property names in your account | 5 keywords per request |
| `manage_crm_objects` | Creates or updates records and activities | Needs your confirmation every time |
| `manage_custom_properties` | Creates custom properties | Only creating is documented |

Some third-party guides, such as [Scalekit's comparison](https://www.scalekit.com/blog/hubspot-mcp-vs-api), say custom objects are not supported. HubSpot's current guide lists custom object records under both read and write, though it does not mention creating new object types. Search runs on the CRM search API, so there is no vector or semantic search.

## How do you connect HubSpot MCP to Claude?

In Claude, you install HubSpot's connector from the directory and sign in to HubSpot. There is no OAuth app to create. You need a paid Claude plan (Pro, Max, Team or Enterprise), and the connector works with all HubSpot products and plans, per [HubSpot's Claude guide](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/integrations/set-up-and-use-the-hubspot-connector-for-claude), updated September 17, 2026.

### Before you start: admin approval

Super Admins and users with App Marketplace Access can connect right away. Everyone else needs a Super Admin to approve the connector first. During approval, the admin picks optional data permissions and who in the account can install the connector.

### Steps in Claude on the web, desktop or mobile

1. Click your profile icon in the bottom left, then **Settings**, then **Connectors**.
2. Click **Browse**, search for HubSpot and select it.
3. Click **Connect**. A HubSpot login page opens. Sign in to the account you want to use.
4. HubSpot shows a connecting page with the permissions the connector asks for. Tick the ones to allow and click **Connect app**. You land back in a Claude chat.
5. In a new chat, click **+**, then **Connectors**, and toggle HubSpot on.
6. In the connector's settings, set write tools to **Needs approval**. HubSpot warns that **Always allow** may let edits happen without approval.

Test it with a read-only question, such as "How many HubSpot contacts were created this week?" When Claude wants to change a record, it shows the change and waits for you to type Yes or No. One Claude account connects to one HubSpot account at a time.

### Claude Code

Claude Code picks up the connector on its own. If you log in to Claude Code with your claude.ai account, [connectors you added in claude.ai are available automatically](https://code.claude.com/docs/en/mcp) and show up in `/mcp`. That matters for enrichment, because [Claude Code runs commands](https://code.claude.com/docs/en/overview) on your computer and can call a contact data API with curl. To connect without the claude.ai connector, add the remote server with your own credentials, as the next section shows.

## How do you connect HubSpot MCP to ChatGPT and Cursor?

ChatGPT uses HubSpot's connector app, and Cursor connects to the remote server with credentials you create in HubSpot. Both run under your HubSpot user permissions.

### ChatGPT

The steps match Claude's, per [HubSpot's ChatGPT guide](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/integrations/connect-your-hubspot-account-to-chatgpt), updated September 28, 2026. The same Super Admin approval applies.

1. In ChatGPT, click your profile icon in the bottom left, then **Settings**, then **Apps**.
2. Select HubSpot and click **Connect**, then **Continue to HubSpot**, and log in.
3. Choose the HubSpot account, select the permissions to allow and click **Connect App**. ChatGPT opens again, ready to use.

ChatGPT shows proposed changes and asks before it writes, and HubSpot again suggests setting write tools to Needs approval.

### Cursor, Claude Code or your own agent

Other clients connect to `https://mcp.hubspot.com` with OAuth and PKCE. You create the OAuth credentials in HubSpot first, per the [integration guide](https://developers.hubspot.com/docs/apps/developer-platform/build-apps/integrate-with-the-remote-hubspot-mcp-server):

1. In HubSpot, go to **Development**, then **MCP Connectors**, and click **Create MCP connector**. The April changelog called this screen MCP Auth Apps.
2. Enter a name and one or more redirect URLs that match your client. The first URL becomes the default.
3. Click **Create**, then copy the client ID and client secret from the connector's details page.
4. Give your client the client ID, the secret and the matching redirect URL. Then sign in, pick the HubSpot account and authorize.

**Cursor.** [Cursor's MCP docs](https://cursor.com/docs/context/mcp) list `http://localhost:8787/callback` as the redirect URL for the desktop app and `https://www.cursor.com/agents/mcp/oauth/callback` for web and Cursor Agents. Register the ones you need in HubSpot, then add a static OAuth block to `~/.cursor/mcp.json`. Keep the secret in an environment variable:

```
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "hubspot": {
      "url": "https://mcp.hubspot.com",
      "auth": {
        "CLIENT_ID": "${env:HUBSPOT_MCP_CLIENT_ID}",
        "CLIENT_SECRET": "${env:HUBSPOT_MCP_CLIENT_SECRET}"
      }
    }
  }
}
```

**Claude Code.** Register `http://localhost:8080/callback` in HubSpot, then add the server and run `/mcp` to sign in, as [Claude Code's MCP docs](https://code.claude.com/docs/en/mcp) show. The `--client-secret` flag asks for the secret with masked input.

```
claude mcp add --transport http --client-id YOUR_CLIENT_ID \
  --client-secret --callback-port 8080 hubspot https://mcp.hubspot.com
```

To test before you wire up a client, HubSpot suggests the MCP Inspector with the Streamable HTTP transport and the redirect URL `http://localhost:6274/oauth/callback/debug`. Tutorials that paste a private app token into `@hubspot/mcp-server` describe the 2025 beta, not the current server.

## What plan, limits and privacy rules apply to HubSpot MCP?

The HubSpot MCP server works on every HubSpot account, and HubSpot lists no separate fee for it. The [GA changelog](https://developers.hubspot.com/changelog/remote-hubspot-mcp-server-is-now-generally-available) says it is available to all HubSpot accounts. [HubSpot's product catalog](https://legal.hubspot.com/hubspot-product-and-services-catalog) lists no price or credit cost for MCP or the AI connectors as of October 15, 2026. A few tools need a paid hub, per the [integration guide](https://developers.hubspot.com/docs/apps/developer-platform/build-apps/integrate-with-the-remote-hubspot-mcp-server):

- AEO tools need Marketing Hub Professional or Enterprise.
- Quotes, still in beta, need Revenue Hub Professional or Enterprise and an optional scope.
- Free tools accounts cannot create custom pipelines, though they can edit the default one.

**Rate limits.** HubSpot's MCP docs give no rate limit for MCP traffic itself. The connector guides say HubSpot's API usage limits apply, without naming which tier. [HubSpot's usage guidelines](https://developers.hubspot.com/docs/developer-tooling/platform/usage-guidelines) allow 110 requests per 10 seconds per account for marketplace OAuth apps, and 100 to 190 per 10 seconds for private apps, by tier. Search is stricter. The [CRM search API](https://developers.hubspot.com/docs/api-reference/latest/crm/search-the-crm) allows five requests per second per account and 10,000 results per query. The connectors also cap bulk creates and updates at 10 records at a time.

**Privacy.** Every action runs under the signed-in user's HubSpot permissions. These points come from HubSpot's [integration guide](https://developers.hubspot.com/docs/apps/developer-platform/build-apps/integrate-with-the-remote-hubspot-mcp-server) and its [Claude](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/integrations/set-up-and-use-the-hubspot-connector-for-claude) and [ChatGPT](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/integrations/connect-your-hubspot-account-to-chatgpt) connector guides:

- Custom Sensitive Data properties are never exposed. If Sensitive Data is turned on, activities and conversations are blocked from MCP, while HubSpot's regular CRM APIs are not affected.
- Requests go through your account's data center, so EU-hosted accounts route through the EU data center.
- Creates and updates from Claude appear in HubSpot's audit log, under both the user and the connector.
- Anthropic does not train on data shared through HubSpot except in certain cases, such as feedback you send. In ChatGPT, Enterprise, Business and Education plans do not use connector data for training, and consumer plans can opt out in settings.

## How do you enrich HubSpot contacts from Claude?

Pair the two tools. HubSpot MCP finds the contacts with gaps and writes the results back, and Enrich.chat fills the gaps, since the MCP server cannot find a work email or mobile you do not already have. Run the loop in Claude Code, which uses your claude.ai HubSpot connector and can call Enrich.chat through its [MCP server](https://enrich.chat/install/) or its API. Cursor works the same way with the remote server.

**Figure 3: The HubSpot MCP and Enrich.chat enrichment loop.** A four-step loop. First, HubSpot MCP finds contacts with no email or no mobile using search_crm_objects. Second, Enrich.chat looks up each person with GET /v1/person and fields=email,mobile. Third, you review every status, verified, catch_all or unknown, and misses come back as not found at 0 credits. Fourth, HubSpot MCP writes back what you approve with manage_crm_objects, after you confirm, up to 10 records a batch. Then the loop runs on the next batch.

*HubSpot MCP reads and writes the CRM, Enrich.chat fills the missing fields, and nothing is written until you confirm. The 10-record batch is the connector limit. Sources: [HubSpot's integration guide](https://developers.hubspot.com/docs/apps/developer-platform/build-apps/integrate-with-the-remote-hubspot-mcp-server), [HubSpot's Claude guide](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/integrations/set-up-and-use-the-hubspot-connector-for-claude), [agents.md](https://enrich.chat/agents.md).*

### 1. Connect both tools

Connect HubSpot in Claude as shown above, then add Enrich.chat. It has a remote MCP server at `https://enrich.chat/mcp` that needs no sign-in and no key. In Claude Code, run `claude mcp add --transport http enrich https://enrich.chat/mcp`. In Claude on the web or desktop, add it as a custom connector with the same URL. The [install page](https://enrich.chat/install/) has the steps for Cursor, VS Code, Codex and ChatGPT. If you would rather skip the install, open Claude Code and paste the onboarding prompt below instead: Claude Code reads [enrich.chat/agents.md](https://enrich.chat/agents.md) and learns the endpoints. There is no SDK or app to install, and SDKs are planned. Our guide to the [contact data API for AI agents](https://enrich.chat/agents/) covers the other clients.

```text
Use www.enrich.chat to find the work email and mobile for Jane Doe at acme.com
```

### 2. Find the contacts with gaps

Start read-only. The CRM search API has a `NOT_HAS_PROPERTY` filter for records with no value in a property, per [HubSpot's search docs](https://developers.hubspot.com/docs/api-reference/latest/crm/search-the-crm), and `search_crm_objects` is built on that API. Ask for the identifiers Enrich.chat can use: a LinkedIn URL, an email, or a name plus a company domain.

```text
Using the HubSpot connector, find up to 25 contacts created in the last 30 days that have no Email or no Mobile Phone Number. Return a table with record ID, name, company, company domain, LinkedIn URL and email. Do not change any records.
```

### 3. Look each contact up

Enrich.chat's `/v1/person` endpoint takes a LinkedIn URL, a work or personal email, or a name plus company. It returns each work email as verified, catch_all or unknown, and each mobile with a line of mobile or unknown. That covers Gmail and Yahoo contacts too, which [HubSpot's own enrichment skips](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/records/enrich-your-contact-and-company-data). A miss comes back as not found and uses 0 credits.

```text
Use www.enrich.chat to look up each contact in that table with fields=email,mobile. Use the LinkedIn URL when there is one, then the email, then name plus company domain. Add work email, email status, mobile and line status columns, mark misses as not found, and tell me the total credits_used. Do not write to HubSpot yet.
```

Credits are spent only on matches. If 100 contacts each get a work email and a mobile, that is 26,000 credits, which fits the Growth plan at $29 a month with credits to spare. Each IP gets 10 free lookups a day, and at the limit the agent pauses and shares an upgrade link to [your account page](https://enrich.chat/account/). See [Enrich.chat pricing](https://enrich.chat/pricing/) for every field.

### 4. Write back what you approve

Keep each status next to its value, so your team knows which emails are safe to use. Ask Claude to create two custom properties first, then update in batches of 10. Treat catch_all emails as risky, and remember that a mobile line type is not a live check and does not show the number belongs to the person.

```text
Create two HubSpot contact properties, Work email status and Mobile line status, if they do not exist. Then update the contacts I approve in batches of 10: write verified emails to Email only where Email is empty, mobiles to Mobile Phone Number, and each status to the new properties. Show me each batch before you write it.
```

Before you call or text a number, check your TCPA duties, and follow CAN-SPAM and GDPR for email. People can remove their data at [enrich.chat/opt-out/](https://enrich.chat/opt-out/). To check one number by hand, use the free [phone number validator](https://enrich.chat/tools/phone-number-validator/), and test risky domains with the [catch-all checker](https://enrich.chat/tools/catch-all-checker/).

## How else can you get Enrich.chat data into HubSpot?

If you do not want an agent writing to your CRM, use a CSV round trip or a HubSpot workflow. Enrich.chat has no native HubSpot app, so each route calls the same API. Our guide to [HubSpot data enrichment with Enrich.chat](https://enrich.chat/integrations/hubspot/) covers both routes in more depth.

- **CSV round trip.** Export the filtered contact view as a CSV with all properties, which puts Record ID first, per [HubSpot's export guide](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/import-and-export/export-records). Ask Claude Code or Cursor to enrich the file with Enrich.chat. Then import it with **Update existing records only**, matched on Record ID, per [HubSpot's import guide](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/import-and-export/import-objects).
- **Workflow with a custom code action.** On Data Hub Professional or Enterprise, a [custom code action](https://developers.hubspot.com/docs/api/workflows/custom-code-actions) can call `/v1/person` for each enrolled contact. It must finish within 20 seconds and use no more than 128 MB, and secrets arrive as environment variables. If you rethrow a 429 or 5xx error, HubSpot retries for up to three days.
- **Workflow webhook.** The [Send a webhook action](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/workflows/how-do-i-use-webhooks-with-hubspot-workflows), also on Data Hub Professional or Enterprise, can send a GET request with HubSpot properties as query parameters and use the response in later actions.

A minimal custom code action in Node.js looks like this. A key is optional on the free tier. For more volume, log in at [enrich.chat/account/](https://enrich.chat/account/) with your email, pick a plan, and add the `pp_` key that appears there as a secret named `ENRICH_KEY`. Add the four inputs in the action, and map the outputs to contact properties in later steps:

```
const axios = require('axios');
exports.main = async (event, callback) => {
  const { linkedin_url, email, name, company } = event.inputFields;
  const params = { fields: 'email,mobile' };
  if (linkedin_url) params.linkedin_url = linkedin_url;
  else if (email) params.email = email;
  else { params.name = name; params.company = company; }
  try {
    const key = process.env.ENRICH_KEY;     // optional: free tier needs no key
    const r = await axios.get('https://enrich.chat/v1/person', {
      params, timeout: 15000,
      headers: key ? { Authorization: 'Bearer ' + key } : {}
    });
    const p = r.data, w = p.work_email || {}, m = p.mobile || {};
    callback({ outputFields: {
      found: p.found ? 'yes' : 'no',        // misses use 0 credits
      work_email: w.value || '', email_status: w.status || '',
      mobile: m.value || '', mobile_line: m.line || ''
    }});
  } catch (err) {
    const s = err.response && err.response.status;
    if (s === 402) return callback({ outputFields: { found: 'limit' } });
    throw err;                              // HubSpot retries 429 and 5xx
  }
};
```

## Should you use Breeze Intelligence or Enrich.chat for HubSpot enrichment?

Use HubSpot's built-in enrichment for job and company fields, and Enrich.chat when contacts are missing a work email or a mobile. They fill different fields. HubSpot rebuilt Clearbit's data as Breeze Intelligence, and its [knowledge base](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/records/get-started-with-data-enrichment) now documents it as data enrichment, which does not consume HubSpot Credits. Our page on [Clearbit alternatives](https://enrich.chat/alternatives/clearbit/) covers that history.

|  | HubSpot data enrichment (Breeze) | Enrich.chat from Claude |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Input it needs | First name, last name and work email | A LinkedIn URL, any email, or name plus company |
| Gmail and Yahoo contacts | Not enriched | Looked up by email |
| Job title, seniority, LinkedIn URL | Yes | Yes, in the profile fields |
| Finds a work email | No | Yes, marked verified, catch_all or unknown |
| Finds a mobile number | No: company main phone only | Yes, with a line type |
| Company firmographics | Yes, including revenue, headcount and web technologies | Yes, with `/v1/company` |
| Runs on its own | Yes: monthly continuous, bulk and on import | Through your agent, a CSV or a workflow |
| Price | Included with paid seats; Starter Core Seats are $20 a month each | Monthly credit plans from $29: 10 credits per email, 250 per mobile, 0 for a miss |

The HubSpot rows come from HubSpot's [enrichment guide](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/records/enrich-your-contact-and-company-data) and [product catalog](https://legal.hubspot.com/hubspot-product-and-services-catalog), checked October 15, 2026. Two more points matter. HubSpot says limited business contact data from enrichment may be contributed back to its commercial dataset, unless you use continuous enrichment only. And buyer intent, which shows companies visiting your site, does use credits: 10 credits a month to monitor one company. Extra credits cost $0.010 each on pay as you go, or $10 per pack of 1,000.

### When is HubSpot's own enrichment the better choice?

Choose HubSpot's enrichment when you want job titles and firmographics on every record with no setup and no per-record cost. It runs on new and existing records, in bulk and on imports, and form shortening hides fields HubSpot can already fill. Choose Enrich.chat when the gap is contact data: a missing work email, a mobile, or contacts on personal email domains.

Two things to watch with Enrich.chat. It has no native HubSpot sync, so you run it from an agent, a CSV or a workflow. And it has no sequencing or dialer, so you keep emailing and calling from HubSpot. For the basics, read [what data enrichment is](https://enrich.chat/blog/what-is-data-enrichment/). For other agent setups, see [Claude for sales](https://enrich.chat/blog/claude-for-sales/), [ZoomInfo MCP](https://enrich.chat/blog/zoominfo-mcp/) and the [Apollo MCP alternative](https://enrich.chat/blog/apollo-mcp-alternative/).

## Frequently asked questions

### Is the HubSpot MCP server read-only?

No. Since it became generally available on April 13, 2026, HubSpot's remote MCP server can create and update contacts, companies, deals, tickets, leads, line items, products, custom object records and activities, per [HubSpot's integration guide](https://developers.hubspot.com/docs/apps/developer-platform/build-apps/integrate-with-the-remote-hubspot-mcp-server). It cannot delete anything, and write tools ask you to confirm first. The read-only claims come from the 2025 ChatGPT connector and from HubSpot's older MCP overview page, which still mentions read scopes.

### Is the HubSpot MCP server free?

HubSpot charges nothing extra for it. The [GA changelog](https://developers.hubspot.com/changelog/remote-hubspot-mcp-server-is-now-generally-available) says the remote server is available to all HubSpot accounts, and [HubSpot's product catalog](https://legal.hubspot.com/hubspot-product-and-services-catalog) lists no price or credit cost for MCP or the AI connectors as of October 15, 2026. The Claude connector needs a paid Claude plan: Pro, Max, Team or Enterprise. A few tools need paid hubs, such as AEO tools on Marketing Hub Professional or Enterprise.

### How do I connect HubSpot to Claude?

In Claude, open Settings, then Connectors, click Browse and search for HubSpot. Click Connect, log in to HubSpot, choose the permissions to allow and click Connect app. Then turn HubSpot on in a chat from the + menu, under Connectors. Users without Super Admin rights or App Marketplace Access need a Super Admin to approve the connector first, per [HubSpot's Claude guide](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/integrations/set-up-and-use-the-hubspot-connector-for-claude). Set write tools to Needs approval.

### Does the HubSpot MCP server support custom objects?

Yes, for records. HubSpot's current [integration guide](https://developers.hubspot.com/docs/apps/developer-platform/build-apps/integrate-with-the-remote-hubspot-mcp-server) lists custom objects under read access and custom object records under create and edit access, checked October 15, 2026. It does not mention creating new custom object types. Some third-party guides say custom objects are not supported, so check the date on any tutorial. Custom Sensitive Data properties stay blocked either way.

### What is the difference between the HubSpot MCP server and the developer MCP server?

The remote HubSpot MCP server at mcp.hubspot.com gives AI tools access to your CRM records. The [developer MCP server](https://developers.hubspot.com/docs/developer-tooling/local-development/mcp-server) runs on your computer and helps Claude Code, Cursor, Codex CLI, Gemini CLI, VS Code and Windsurf build HubSpot apps and CMS assets. You install it with hs mcp setup from HubSpot CLI 8.2.0 or later. It became generally available on February 19, 2026.

### Can the HubSpot MCP server find missing emails and phone numbers?

No. The MCP server reads and writes data that is already in HubSpot. HubSpot's built-in data enrichment fills job and company fields, but its [list of enriched contact properties](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/records/enrich-your-contact-and-company-data) has no email or mobile number. To fill those gaps, have Claude pass each contact to a contact data API such as Enrich.chat, which marks each email verified, catch_all or unknown and gives each mobile a line type.
