# The best lead enrichment tools in 2026: 12 compared by the key they need, the fields they add and what they cost

Lead enrichment fills in a lead's work email, phone, title, company size and tech stack. We read each vendor's own pages on October 16, 2026 to see which key each tool takes, what it adds, when it runs and what it costs.

By Enrich.chat Editorial. Updated October 19, 2026.

**Short answer:** Lead enrichment tools add a work email, phone, title, company size and tech stack to a lead you already hold, from a work email, a LinkedIn URL or a name plus company site. [Enrich.chat](https://enrich.chat/pricing/) is pick 1 where an agent or API is the interface. [Apollo](https://knowledge.apollo.io/hc/en-us/articles/37944366290189-Use-Form-Enrichment-to-Capture-More-Leads-with-Deeper-Insights), [ZoomInfo](https://www.zoominfo.com/features/form-optimization) and [HubSpot](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/records/get-started-with-data-enrichment) enrich forms themselves, and [Lusha](https://docs.lusha.com/user-guide/csv-enrichment/csv-enrichment) and [UpLead](https://www.uplead.com/data-enrichment/) take CSV imports.

## Key takeaways

- Three moments decide the tool: form fill, import or a schedule. Apollo, ZoomInfo and HubSpot describe form enrichment of their own, and Clay takes form posts through a webhook table.
- Entry paid plans on October 16, 2026 run from HubSpot's $20 seat and $29 a month on Enrich.chat to $185 on Clay, and ZoomInfo's Sales plans publish no price.
- Enriching one lead from a work email takes three Enrich.chat calls, a profile, a company record and a tech stack, which together use 15 credits.
- Lusha's API is the one exception we found on billing misses: it uses at least 1 credit per request even with no results.
- HubSpot's enrichment adds title, seniority and LinkedIn URL to contacts and size, industry and tech to companies, but no work emails or mobiles.

## The verdict

For leads that arrive through an agent, a script or a form handler, **Enrich.chat** is the best fit: three keys in, a person, company or tech record back in the same request, and 0 credits for a miss. Pick a tool with a form or CRM feature built in when you do not want to write the glue.

- Best for agents and APIs: Enrich.chat (Three keys in, credits only for matches)
- Best custom workflow: Clay (A webhook table plus 150+ providers)
- Best form fill and outreach together: Apollo (Form Enrichment, sequences and data in one seat)
- Best inside HubSpot: HubSpot (Automatic enrichment and form shortening)
- Best for CSV imports: Lusha (CSV and CRM enrichment on one credit balance)

## The 12 best lead enrichment tools, in order of fit for agent and API leads

Pick 1 is an agent and API tool, 2 and 3 are waterfalls, 4 to 7 sell their own databases, 8 is CRM-native, and 9 to 12 are API and email-first tools. Prices come from each vendor's own pages, checked October 16, 2026.

### Enrich.chat

Agent and API-native. Send a work email, a LinkedIn URL or a name plus company website, and get a profile, a company record, a tech stack, a work email or a mobile back in the same request, each with its credits_used.

- Best for: AI agents, apps and form handlers that call an API for each lead, with credits spent only on matches
- Pricing: Monthly plans from $29, with 100,000 included credits: 10 credits per work email, 250 per mobile, 5 per profile, company or tech stack
- Strength: A lookup that finds nothing uses 0 credits
- Strength: Three keys in: a LinkedIn URL, a work email, or a name plus company website
- Strength: Works from any agent through the MCP server or one prompt, with no account for the free tier
- Watch out for: No form tool or scheduled refresh: your form handler, script or agent makes the calls, or you run a CSV of up to 5,000 rows in the dashboard as a background job
- Watch out for: The email key takes work emails only, and a name needs a company website, not a company name

### Clay

Waterfall table. A spreadsheet-style workspace where each lead is a row and you add enrichment columns from 150+ providers, AI research and exports.

- Best for: GTM engineers who want forms, lists and CRM records enriched in one table they control
- Pricing: Launch from $185 a month, or $167 billed annually: 2,500 data credits ($125) plus 15,000 Actions ($60) ([Clay pricing](https://www.clay.com/pricing), Oct 16, 2026)
- Strength: A search that returns no data uses no Data Credits and no Actions
- Strength: Unlimited seats and tables on every plan
- Strength: CRM auto-sync and an HTTP API from Growth
- Watch out for: Two meters to watch, and Actions do not roll over
- Watch out for: A webhook source takes 50,000 submissions, then needs a new one (Enterprise can auto-delete rows)

### FullEnrich

Waterfall. A managed waterfall across many sources that enriches from a LinkedIn URL or a name plus company, through an app, an API or an MCP server.

- Best for: Teams that want waterfall coverage on imported lists without building one
- Pricing: Pro from $29 a month for 500 credits: 1 credit per work email, 3 per personal email, 10 per mobile ([FullEnrich pricing](https://fullenrich.com/pricing.md), Oct 16, 2026)
- Strength: Nothing is charged when nothing is found
- Strength: Re-enriching the same contact within 3 months costs 0 credits
- Strength: Unlimited users on every plan
- Watch out for: Results arrive by webhook or a second GET call, so it fits batches better than a form that waits for the answer
- Watch out for: A catch-all email still uses 1 credit

### Apollo

All-in-one database. A sales platform with its own contact database that also enriches form submissions, CRM records and API calls.

- Best for: Teams that want form enrichment, data and outreach in one seat
- Pricing: Basic $65 a seat a month, or $49 billed annually, with 2,500 credits a seat ([Apollo pricing](https://www.apollo.io/pricing), Oct 16, 2026)
- Strength: Form Enrichment fills known fields from an email and can hide them to shorten the form
- Strength: Automated CRM enrichment from Basic
- Strength: People enrichment is charged only when data is found
- Watch out for: Mobiles and waterfall results arrive later, by webhook or polling
- Watch out for: Unused credits expire each billing cycle, and some waterfall vendors bill a lookup that finds nothing

### ZoomInfo

All-in-one database. An enterprise platform with FormComplete for form fill, CRM enrichment on demand or on a schedule, and GTM AI, a self-serve API sold by the credit.

- Best for: Large teams that want form capture and CRM refresh from one vendor
- Pricing: Sales plans by quote, with no public price. GTM AI credits cost $0.38 each at the $1,000 tier, with top-ups from $20 ([GTM AI pricing](https://gtm.ai/pricing), Oct 16, 2026)
- Strength: CRM enrichment can run when a record arrives or on a schedule
- Strength: A "No match" result uses no credit on GTM AI
- Strength: GTM AI has no contract and charges once per record per 12 months
- Watch out for: Sales plan prices are not published, and FormComplete comes with Sales Advanced or Elite or a Marketing package
- Watch out for: Mobile phone data on GTM AI needs an Enterprise package

### Lusha

All-in-one database. A prospecting platform with CSV enrichment, CRM enrichment, an API and an MCP server on one credit balance.

- Best for: Reps and ops teams that enrich lists from a CSV or a CRM
- Pricing: Starter $49.90 a month for 400 credits, Pro $69.90 for 600 (API and CSV enrichment), Premium $399.90 for 3,400 ([Lusha pricing](https://www.lusha.com/pricing/), Oct 16, 2026)
- Strength: CSV enrichment charges nothing for rows it cannot match
- Strength: CRM Data Enrichment can run daily, weekly or monthly (beta, Premium and Enterprise)
- Strength: Webhooks and the API come with Pro
- Watch out for: An API request with no results still uses 1 credit
- Watch out for: CSV files are capped by plan, from 100 rows on Free to 10,000 on Scale

### UpLead

All-in-one database. A B2B contact database with enrichment for uploaded lists of emails, names plus company URLs or company URLs, and an API.

- Best for: Small teams that enrich lists and want a status on every email
- Pricing: Essentials $99 a month for 170 credits, Plus $199 for 400, on monthly billing; Professional by quote ([UpLead pricing](https://www.uplead.com/pricing/), Oct 16, 2026)
- Strength: No charge when an email does not match
- Strength: On the API, a credit is deducted only when email_status is Valid or Accept All
- Strength: It says you can refresh records on demand or schedule updates
- Watch out for: Enrichment starts on Plus, and full API access is Professional only
- Watch out for: About 170 or 400 credits a month on the self-serve plans

### HubSpot data enrichment (Clearbit)

CRM-native. Clearbit's data now sits inside HubSpot as data enrichment: automatic enrichment of new records, continuous refresh, bulk enrichment and form shortening.

- Best for: Teams whose leads already land in HubSpot
- Pricing: Included with paid HubSpot plans; a Starter Core Seat is $20 a month ([HubSpot catalog](https://legal.hubspot.com/hubspot-product-and-services-catalog), Oct 16, 2026)
- Strength: Enrichment uses no HubSpot Credits
- Strength: Form shortening shows only the fields it cannot fill
- Strength: Continuous enrichment keeps filled properties current
- Watch out for: It does not add work emails or mobile numbers
- Watch out for: Business emails only: Gmail and Yahoo contacts are not enriched

### People Data Labs

Developer API. Person and company enrichment APIs that return a likelihood score on each match.

- Best for: Products that need full person records from many kinds of keys
- Pricing: Person Pro from $98 a month for 350 credits, about $0.28 a record; company data is a separate plan from $100 for 1,000 records ([PDL pricing](https://www.peopledatalabs.com/pricing/person), Oct 16, 2026)
- Strength: A miss is not charged: it bills per match
- Strength: Takes more keys than most tools on this list
- Strength: Paid plans allow 1,000 requests a minute, per its docs
- Watch out for: The Free plan hides emails, phones and addresses
- Watch out for: Company data needs its own plan

### Hunter

Email-first. Email Enrichment turns an email or LinkedIn handle into a person profile, Company Enrichment turns a domain into a company profile, and Combined Enrichment returns both.

- Best for: Small teams that already find and verify emails in Hunter
- Pricing: Starter $49 a month for 2,000 credits, Growth $149 for 10,000, on monthly billing ([Hunter pricing](https://hunter.io/pricing), Oct 16, 2026)
- Strength: Enrichment costs 0.2 credit per enriched email or domain
- Strength: No credits are used when Hunter cannot find or verify an email
- Strength: Lead enrichment fills empty fields on a saved lead in place (beta)
- Watch out for: Enrichment starts from an email, a LinkedIn handle or a domain, not a name plus company
- Watch out for: Lead enrichment is on paid plans only

### Snov.io

Email-first suite. A cold-email suite whose API turns an email, LinkedIn URLs, a name plus domain or a company name into a profile, an email or a domain.

- Best for: Teams that want enrichment next to outreach in one suite
- Pricing: Starter $39 a month for 1,000 credits, Pro S $99 for 5,000, on monthly billing ([Snov.io pricing](https://snov.io/pricing), Oct 16, 2026)
- Strength: No charge when no profile or email is found
- Strength: Paid plans include unlimited team seats
- Strength: API and webhooks come with paid plans
- Watch out for: Credits, recipients and enrichment tokens are separate meters
- Watch out for: The API is limited to 60 requests a minute

### Dropcontact

Email-first. Takes a name plus company or website, a LinkedIn URL (Growth) or an email, and returns a verified business email with company fields.

- Best for: Teams that enrich inside HubSpot or Pipedrive, a Google Sheet or a file
- Pricing: Starter from €29 a month for 500 credits, Growth from €35, on monthly billing, in euros ([Dropcontact pricing](https://www.dropcontact.com/pricing), Oct 16, 2026)
- Strength: A credit is used only when a verified email comes back, and it is refunded otherwise
- Strength: File, API, MCP and a Google Sheets add-on from Starter
- Strength: Native HubSpot and Pipedrive CRM enrichment
- Watch out for: Prices are in euros, and LinkedIn URL and company data need Growth
- Watch out for: Starter and Growth list email and company data, not mobile numbers

## What does a lead enrichment tool add to a lead record?

A lead enrichment tool takes a thin lead, such as a form submission that holds only an email, and fills in the fields your team needs to qualify and route it. The fields fall into four groups.

- **Contact:** a work email and a mobile number. [Apollo's API docs](https://docs.apollo.io/docs/api-pricing) charge 1 credit for demographics or an email and 8 more for a mobile.
- **Person:** job title, seniority, LinkedIn URL and location. These are on [HubSpot's list of enrichable contact properties](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/records/enrich-your-contact-and-company-data).
- **Company:** headcount, industry, location and revenue range. HubSpot lists the same on company records.
- **Tech:** the software a company runs. [Hunter's Company Enrichment](https://hunter.io/api-documentation) returns a tech list, and [UpLead](https://www.uplead.com/pricing/) sells technographics from its Plus plan.

No tool fills every group from every key. HubSpot's enrichment adds no work email or mobile. Hunter's enrichment endpoints return profile and company fields, while its Email Finder is a separate call. Our guides to [contact enrichment](https://enrich.chat/blog/contact-enrichment/), [firmographic data](https://enrich.chat/blog/firmographic-data/) and [technographic data](https://enrich.chat/blog/technographic-data/) go deeper on each group, and [what data enrichment is](https://enrich.chat/blog/what-is-data-enrichment/) covers the basics.

## When should you enrich a lead: on form fill, on import or on a schedule?

Enrich on form fill when routing depends on the answer, on import when you already hold a list, and on a schedule when saved records go stale. Most tools in this list are built around one or two of these moments, and Figure 1 shows which.

**Figure 1: Three moments to enrich a lead and the tools that run at each.** Three rows. On form fill, you hold the email on the form and want an answer before the lead is routed; Apollo, ZoomInfo, HubSpot and a Clay webhook table do this, or your own API call. On import, you hold a list and use your best column; Lusha and UpLead CSV files, FullEnrich and Apollo bulk calls, and Dropcontact files do this. On a schedule, you refresh fields on saved leads; HubSpot, ZoomInfo and Lusha CRM enrichment and UpLead scheduled updates do this.

- **On form fill.** [Apollo's Form Enrichment](https://knowledge.apollo.io/hc/en-us/articles/37944366290189-Use-Form-Enrichment-to-Capture-More-Leads-with-Deeper-Insights) fills known fields from the email on your form, can hide them to shorten it, and saves new prospects as contacts. [ZoomInfo's FormComplete](https://www.zoominfo.com/features/form-optimization) asks for a business email and fills the rest. [HubSpot](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/records/get-started-with-data-enrichment) enriches new records once a Super Admin turns on automatic enrichment, and its form shortening shows only the fields it cannot fill. [Clay](https://www.clay.com/university/guide/webhook-integration-guide) takes form posts through a webhook table. API tools such as Enrich.chat, [Hunter](https://hunter.io/api-documentation) and [People Data Labs](https://docs.peopledatalabs.com/docs/reference-person-enrichment-api) have no form product, so your form handler calls them.
- **On import.** [Lusha's CSV enrichment](https://docs.lusha.com/user-guide/csv-enrichment/csv-enrichment) takes a LinkedIn URL, an email or a full name plus company name, with a row cap by plan from 100 on Free to 10,000 on Scale. [UpLead](https://www.uplead.com/data-enrichment/) enriches uploaded lists of emails, names plus company URLs, or company URLs. [FullEnrich](https://docs.fullenrich.com/api/v2/contact/enrich/bulk/post) takes up to 100 contacts a call and [Apollo](https://docs.apollo.io/reference/bulk-people-enrichment) up to ten. [Dropcontact](https://www.dropcontact.com/pricing) enriches csv, xls and txt files.
- **On a schedule.** [HubSpot's continuous enrichment](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/records/get-started-with-data-enrichment) updates properties it filled earlier and stops on any property a user edits. [ZoomInfo](https://www.zoominfo.com/solutions/crm-enrichment) says it can enrich new CRM records as they arrive and schedule refreshes. [Lusha's CRM Data Enrichment](https://docs.lusha.com/user-guide/crm-enrichment/new-crm-data-enrichment) runs one-time, daily, weekly or monthly, in beta on Premium and Enterprise. UpLead says you can [schedule updates](https://www.uplead.com/data-enrichment/).

Speed matters most on a form, where a router or a rep waits on the answer. FullEnrich and Dropcontact return results by webhook or a second GET call, so they fit batches better than a form that waits. Our guide to [CRM data enrichment](https://enrich.chat/blog/crm-data-enrichment/) covers the refresh side in more detail.

## Which match key does each lead enrichment tool need?

Send the strongest key you hold. A LinkedIn URL points to one person, a work email is the usual key on a form, and a name plus a company website is the fallback. The table lists what each tool accepts and returns, from its own docs on October 16, 2026.

| Tool | Keys it takes | What comes back | Where it runs |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Enrich.chat | LinkedIn URL, work email, or name plus company website; a website, LinkedIn company page or company_id for company and tech | Name, title, company, LinkedIn URL; work email with a status; mobile with a line label; industry, size and revenue bands, funding stage, tech stack | Your code, an agent, the MCP server or the dashboard |
| Clay | Any column you map to a provider | What the providers return: emails, phones, company data, tech | A table: webhook, import or CRM sync |
| FullEnrich | LinkedIn URL, or first and last name plus company domain or name | Work and personal emails, mobiles; a profile with a LinkedIn URL | App, bulk API, MCP |
| Apollo | Email, LinkedIn URL, name plus domain or organization, Apollo ID | Title, seniority, email, employer industry, headcount and technologies; mobiles by webhook | Form Enrichment, API, CSV, CRM |
| ZoomInfo | Business email on a form; contact IDs or more details on the API | Contact and company fields, chosen by output field | FormComplete, CRM enrichment, API |
| Lusha | LinkedIn URL, email, or name plus company domain | Emails, phones, company info | API, CSV, CRM (beta) |
| UpLead | Work email; full name plus company URL; company URL | Title, function, management level, email with a status, phones, company size, industry | CSV upload, API |
| HubSpot | First name, last name and work email; company domain | Contact: title, seniority, LinkedIn URL, location. Company: industry, headcount, revenue range, web technologies | Inside HubSpot |
| People Data Labs | LinkedIn profile URL, email, phone, or name plus company, school or location | A full person record with a likelihood score | API, bulk API |
| Hunter | Email or LinkedIn handle; a domain for companies | Name, location, title, seniority, social handles; company industry, headcount, tech | API, saved leads |
| Snov.io | Email; up to 10 LinkedIn URLs a request; name plus domain; company name | A profile, an email or a domain | API |
| Dropcontact | Email, LinkedIn URL, or first and last name plus company or website | A business email with a qualification; company fields on Growth | File, API, CRM, Google Sheets |

Personal addresses are a common gap. [HubSpot](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/records/enrich-your-contact-and-company-data) does not enrich Gmail or Yahoo contacts, and Enrich.chat does not look up personal mailboxes either. A lead that gives only a name and a company needs a tool that takes that pair, such as [Apollo](https://docs.apollo.io/reference/people-enrichment), [Lusha](https://docs.lusha.com/api-reference/overview) or [FullEnrich](https://docs.fullenrich.com/api/v2/contact/enrich/bulk/post). See our guide to [which inputs work for contact enrichment](https://enrich.chat/blog/contact-enrichment/).

## How much do the 12 lead enrichment tools cost?

Entry paid plans on October 16, 2026 run from HubSpot's $20 Starter seat and $29 a month on Enrich.chat to $185 on Clay, and ZoomInfo's Sales plans publish no price. A credit means something different at each vendor, so Figure 2 shows the credits beside each price and the table shows what a credit buys and what a miss costs.

**Figure 2: Entry paid plan per month, by tool.** Bar chart of the entry paid plan per month on monthly billing, with the credits each includes. HubSpot Starter seat $20 with no credits, Enrich.chat $29 with 100,000 included credits, FullEnrich $29 for 500 credits, Dropcontact 29 euros for 500 credits, Snov.io $39 for 1,000, Hunter $49 for 2,000, Lusha $49.90 for 400, Apollo $65 a seat for 2,500, People Data Labs $98 for 350, UpLead $99 for 170 and Clay $185 for 2,500 data credits. ZoomInfo Sales plans have no public price.

*Entry paid plan per month on monthly billing, checked October 16, 2026. Credits are not comparable across vendors, Dropcontact is in euros and not converted, and HubSpot's bar is a Starter seat that includes enrichment without credits. | Tool | Entry price, checked October 16, 2026 | What one credit buys | What a miss costs |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Enrich.chat | Free: 10 lookups a day. Growth $29 a month, with 100,000 included credits | 10 per work email, 250 per mobile, 5 per profile, company or tech stack | 0 credits |
| Clay | Free; Launch $185 a month ($167 billed annually) | Data credits from about $0.05 each, plus Actions | 0 Data Credits and 0 Actions |
| FullEnrich | 50 trial credits; Pro from $29 a month for 500 credits | 1 per work email, 3 per personal email, 10 per mobile | 0 credits |
| Apollo | Free; Basic $65 a seat a month ($49 billed annually) | 1 for demographics or an email, 8 more for a mobile | 0 on people enrichment |
| ZoomInfo | Sales plans by quote; GTM AI $0.38 a credit at the $1,000 tier, top-ups from $20 | 1 per record enriched, once per record per 12 months | 0 on a "No match" result |
| Lusha | Free; Starter $49.90 a month for 400 credits; Pro $69.90 for 600 | 1 per email, 5 per phone, 1 for company info on the API | API: at least 1 per request. CSV: 0 for unmatched rows |
| UpLead | 7-day trial; Essentials $99 a month for 170 credits; Plus $199 for 400 | 1 per contact or company record | 0 for an email that does not match |
| HubSpot | Paid plans only; Starter Core Seat $20 a month | No HubSpot Credits for enrichment | No per-lookup charge |
| People Data Labs | Free 100 credits, no contact data; Pro from $98 a month for 350 | 1 per matched record, about $0.28 at the entry tier | 0: it charges per match |
| Hunter | Free 50 credits; Starter $49 a month for 2,000 credits | 0.2 per enriched email or domain; 1 per email found | 0 when nothing is found |
| Snov.io | Free Trial plan; Starter $39 a month for 1,000 credits | 1 per profile, per LinkedIn URL or per email found | 0 when nothing is found |
| Dropcontact | 50 free credits; Starter €29 a month for 500 credits (euros) | 1 per verified email found | 0: a credit is refunded |

Read the miss column before the price column. [Lusha's API](https://docs.lusha.com/user-guide/usage-analytics/how-credits-are-counted) uses at least 1 credit per request even with no result, while its CSV enrichment charges nothing for unmatched rows. [FullEnrich](https://docs.fullenrich.com/api/v2/general/credit) counts a catch-all email as found and charges 1 credit, and [UpLead](https://www.uplead.com/api/) deducts a credit only when an email comes back Valid or Accept All. [Apollo's docs](https://docs.apollo.io/docs/api-pricing) warn that some waterfall vendors bill a lookup even when nothing is found. For one job priced across tools, our [best data enrichment tools](https://enrich.chat/blog/best-data-enrichment-tools/) page costs a work email and a mobile for 1,000 contacts. The price guides cover [Clay](https://enrich.chat/blog/clay-pricing/), [Apollo](https://enrich.chat/blog/apollo-pricing/), [ZoomInfo](https://enrich.chat/blog/zoominfo-pricing/), [Lusha](https://enrich.chat/blog/lusha-pricing/), [FullEnrich](https://enrich.chat/blog/fullenrich-pricing/), [People Data Labs](https://enrich.chat/blog/people-data-labs-pricing/), [Hunter](https://enrich.chat/blog/hunter-io-pricing/), [Snov.io](https://enrich.chat/blog/snov-io-pricing/) and [UpLead](https://enrich.chat/blog/uplead-pricing/) in more detail. ## How does Enrich.chat enrich a lead?

Enrich.chat enriches a lead with up to three plain GET calls: one for the person, one for the company and one for the tech stack. It has no form product, so your form handler, script or agent makes the calls. Say a visitor submits the fictional work email ana.ruiz@example.com.

```
GET https://enrich.chat/v1/person?email=ana.ruiz@example.com&fields=profile
{
  "found": true,
  "name": "Ana Ruiz",
  "title": "Head of Finance",
  "company": {"name": "Example Co"},
  "linkedin_url": "https://www.linkedin.com/in/ana-ruiz-example",
  "credits_used": 5,
  "free_lookups_remaining": 9
}
```

The values are illustrative. The part after the @ is the company website, so the next two calls use `example.com`. `GET /v1/company?domain=example.com` returns the company's industry, size band, revenue band, location and funding stage where we have them, and `GET /v1/company/tech?domain=example.com` returns its technologies. Each call uses 5 credits when it finds something, per [Enrich.chat's agents.md](https://enrich.chat/agents.md). Add `include=technologies` to the company call and the tech stack comes back in the same call, which makes it two calls and 10 credits. In an agent, the same three steps are the find_person_contact, company_profile and company_tech_stack tools of the MCP server at enrich.chat/mcp, set up from the [install page](https://enrich.chat/install/).

**Figure 3: One form lead enriched with three Enrich.chat calls.** A fictional form lead with the work email ana.ruiz@example.com is enriched with three Enrich.chat calls. The email goes to GET /v1/person for a name, title, company and LinkedIn URL, and the domain example.com goes to GET /v1/company for industry, size, revenue band and location, and to GET /v1/company/tech for technologies. Each call uses 5 credits when it finds something, so one lead uses 15 credits, and a call that finds nothing uses 0.

*One form lead enriched with three Enrich.chat calls. The values are illustrative and follow the response shapes in Enrich.chat's [agents.md](https://enrich.chat/agents.md). Credits follow the [pricing page](https://enrich.chat/pricing/).*

One lead takes 15 credits, and a call that finds nothing uses 0. At 2,000 new leads a month, the three calls need 30,000 credits. That fits the Growth plan at $29 a month, and the lookups cost $8.70 at that plan's credit rate. A mobile costs 250 credits, so adding one for 200 of those leads takes 50,000 credits on its own, more than all the profile, company and tech lookups together. Ask for a mobile only where a rep will call.

The first 10 lookups each day are free with no signup, and the three calls for one lead use three of them. The free [tech stack lookup](https://enrich.chat/tools/tech-stack-lookup/) and [email finder](https://enrich.chat/tools/email-finder/) run similar lookups in a browser. The [person enrichment API](https://enrich.chat/api/person-enrichment/), [company enrichment API](https://enrich.chat/api/company-enrichment/) and [data enrichment API](https://enrich.chat/api/data-enrichment/) pages list every input, and [pricing](https://enrich.chat/pricing/) lists the plans. Paste this into ChatGPT, Claude or Cursor:

```text
Use www.enrich.chat to enrich this new lead from its work email: [paste work email]. Call /v1/person with fields=profile for the name, title, company and LinkedIn URL, then /v1/company and /v1/company/tech for the company's industry, size and tech stack. Mark misses as not found and report the total credits_used.
```

### Where does Enrich.chat fall short for lead enrichment?

- It has no form tool or scheduled refresh. Your form handler, script or agent makes each call, and re-running old leads is up to you. The dashboard runs a CSV of up to 5,000 rows as a [background job](https://enrich.chat/features/background-jobs/) that keeps going after you close the tab, and a signed webhook can tell your app when it finishes: see [bulk enrichment](https://enrich.chat/features/bulk-enrichment/).
- The email key takes work emails only, and a name needs a company website, not a company name.
- It has no intent data. The company record carries a revenue band, a founded year and the latest funding stage where we have them, not exact revenue or funding rounds.
- Pace is about one request a second, and one lead is up to three calls.

## When is another lead enrichment tool the better choice?

Choose another tool when you want the form or the refresh built in. Each pick below has a real edge, from its own pages on October 16, 2026.

| If you mainly need | Better choice | Why |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Form fill with no code | Apollo, ZoomInfo or HubSpot | [Apollo Form Enrichment](https://knowledge.apollo.io/hc/en-us/articles/37944366290189-Use-Form-Enrichment-to-Capture-More-Leads-with-Deeper-Insights) and [ZoomInfo FormComplete](https://www.zoominfo.com/features/form-optimization) fill a form from an email, and [HubSpot](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/records/get-started-with-data-enrichment) shortens forms |
| Many providers in one table | Clay | [150+ providers](https://www.clay.com/pricing), a webhook table for forms, and unlimited seats |
| A CSV import with a browser UI | Lusha or UpLead | [Lusha](https://docs.lusha.com/user-guide/csv-enrichment/csv-enrichment) and [UpLead](https://www.uplead.com/data-enrichment/) take uploaded files and charge nothing for rows they cannot match |
| Waterfall coverage on lists | FullEnrich | [Bulk calls of 100 contacts](https://docs.fullenrich.com/api/v2/contact/enrich/bulk/post) with a managed waterfall behind them |
| Full person records for a product | People Data Labs | [Many keys](https://docs.peopledatalabs.com/docs/input-parameters-person-enrichment-api) in and a likelihood score back, per match |
| Enrichment next to cold email | Hunter or Snov.io | [Hunter](https://hunter.io/api-documentation) and [Snov.io](https://snov.io/api) pair enrichment with email finding and verification |
| Verified business emails inside HubSpot or Pipedrive | Dropcontact | [Native CRM enrichment](https://www.dropcontact.com/) and a file, API and Google Sheets route |
| Enterprise form capture and refresh | ZoomInfo | [CRM enrichment](https://www.zoominfo.com/solutions/crm-enrichment) on demand or on a schedule, plus FormComplete |

Cognism is not in the 12. [Its pricing page](https://www.cognism.com/pricing) lists Standard and Pro packages with 5 seats each, a CRM Enrichment add-on and no prices, so it cannot join the price comparison. Our [Cognism pricing guide](https://enrich.chat/blog/cognism-pricing/) covers what is known. For wider lists, see the [data enrichment platforms](https://enrich.chat/blog/data-enrichment-platforms/) and [data enrichment companies](https://enrich.chat/blog/data-enrichment-companies/) guides.

## How do you test lead enrichment on your own leads?

Test every shortlisted tool on leads whose details you already know. Run the same ten through each tool, count how many come back, and divide each bill by the leads found.

1. Pick 10 recent leads that each have a work email, plus a few that gave only a name and a company.
2. Run them through each tool's free tier or trial. Record the fields, the status on each email and the credits used.
3. Count found, not found and risky rows, then divide credits by leads found. A tool that bills misses costs more per lead found.
4. Pick the moment: form, import or schedule. Then read the terms you would sign: seats, credit expiry and opt-out handling.

On a form, you decide what is collected and why. [Apollo's help center](https://knowledge.apollo.io/hc/en-us/articles/37944366290189-Use-Form-Enrichment-to-Capture-More-Leads-with-Deeper-Insights) says that with form enrichment you act as the data controller and need a lawful basis or consent. Anyone can opt out of Enrich.chat at [enrich.chat/opt-out/](https://enrich.chat/opt-out/), and you stay responsible for TCPA, CAN-SPAM and GDPR rules. This is general information, not legal advice. For a wider stack, see the [best lead generation tools](https://enrich.chat/blog/best-lead-generation-tools/).

## Frequently asked questions

### What is lead enrichment?

Lead enrichment adds missing details to a lead you already hold, such as a work email, phone number, job title, company size and tech stack. You send a key, like a work email, a LinkedIn URL or a name plus a company website, and the tool returns the fields it can match. It can run when a form is submitted, when you import a list, or on a schedule. See our [contact enrichment guide](https://enrich.chat/blog/contact-enrichment/).

### What is the best lead enrichment tool?

It depends on the moment you enrich. For leads that arrive through an AI agent, a script or a form handler, Enrich.chat is the top pick: three keys in, a person, company or tech record back in the same request, and 0 credits for a miss. [Apollo](https://knowledge.apollo.io/hc/en-us/articles/37944366290189-Use-Form-Enrichment-to-Capture-More-Leads-with-Deeper-Insights), [ZoomInfo](https://www.zoominfo.com/features/form-optimization) and [HubSpot](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/records/get-started-with-data-enrichment) run form enrichment themselves, and [Clay](https://www.clay.com/university/guide/webhook-integration-guide) fits custom workflows.

### Are there free lead enrichment tools?

Several have free tiers, checked October 16, 2026. Enrich.chat gives every IP address 10 API lookups a day with no signup. [Hunter](https://hunter.io/pricing) gives 50 credits a month, [Apollo](https://www.apollo.io/pricing) 75 a seat, [Lusha](https://www.lusha.com/pricing/) 40 and [Clay](https://www.clay.com/pricing) 100 data credits. [People Data Labs](https://www.peopledatalabs.com/pricing/person) gives 100 credits but hides contact data, and [FullEnrich](https://fullenrich.com/pricing) and [Dropcontact](https://www.dropcontact.com/pricing) give 50 credits each.

### Should you enrich leads on form fill or in batches?

Use form fill when routing or a rep's reply depends on title or company size, and batches when you own a list or an export. [Apollo](https://knowledge.apollo.io/hc/en-us/articles/37944366290189-Use-Form-Enrichment-to-Capture-More-Leads-with-Deeper-Insights), [ZoomInfo](https://www.zoominfo.com/features/form-optimization) and [HubSpot](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/records/get-started-with-data-enrichment) enrich inside the form flow, while [FullEnrich](https://docs.fullenrich.com/api/v2/contact/enrich/bulk/post) and [Dropcontact](https://developer.dropcontact.com/) return results by webhook or a second call, which suits batches. Add a scheduled refresh if saved records go stale.

### Do lead enrichment tools charge when no data is found?

Most do not. Enrich.chat, [Clay](https://www.clay.com/faq/do-unsuccessful-searches-consume-data-credits-what-about-actions), [FullEnrich](https://docs.fullenrich.com/api/v2/general/credit), [People Data Labs](https://docs.peopledatalabs.com/docs/reference-person-enrichment-api), [Hunter](https://help.hunter.io/en/articles/1911617-what-is-a-credit-and-how-is-it-counted) and [Dropcontact](https://developer.dropcontact.com/) charge nothing for a miss, per their docs. [Lusha's API](https://docs.lusha.com/user-guide/usage-analytics/how-credits-are-counted) is the exception we found: it uses at least 1 credit per request even with no results. [Apollo](https://docs.apollo.io/docs/api-pricing) warns that some waterfall vendors bill a lookup that finds nothing.

### Which lead enrichment tools work with HubSpot or Salesforce?

HubSpot has its own enrichment built in. [Lusha](https://docs.lusha.com/user-guide/crm-enrichment/new-crm-data-enrichment) runs CRM enrichment for Salesforce and HubSpot, in beta on Premium and Enterprise, and [Dropcontact](https://www.dropcontact.com/) enriches inside HubSpot and Pipedrive. [Apollo](https://www.apollo.io/pricing) integrates with Salesforce and HubSpot. Enrich.chat has no native CRM app: call its API from a workflow, as in our [HubSpot guide](https://enrich.chat/integrations/hubspot/).
