# People Data Labs pricing in 2026: plans, cost per record, API endpoints and alternatives

People Data Labs sells API credits from $98 a month, with volume tiers, paid field bundles and annual Enterprise licenses. Here is what each plan returns, what counts as a billable match, and what 1,000 records cost.

By Enrich.chat Editorial. Updated October 15, 2026.

**Short answer:** People Data Labs has three plans: Free (up to 100 credits a month, with emails, phones and addresses hidden), Pro from $98 a month for 350 person credits or $940 a year, and custom Enterprise, per [PDL's pricing page](https://www.peopledatalabs.com/pricing/person). That is $0.28 a credit, falling to $0.20 at annual volume. PDL bills enrichment per match, so a lookup that finds no one costs nothing.

## Key takeaways

- Pro starts at $98 a month for 350 person credits, or $940 a year billed annually. Company data is a separate plan from $100 a month for 1,000 credits.
- Person credits cost $0.28, $0.265 or $0.25 on monthly tiers and $0.224 to $0.20 on annual tiers. Field bundles add $0.01 to $0.03 a credit.
- Enrichment bills only for a 200 match, Search bills per record returned, and Person Identify bills every call, even a 404.
- The Free plan shows emails, phones and street addresses as true or false. Each API product needs its own Pro plan to see the values.
- Enterprise is an annual contract from 100,000 person credits a year. Vendr's buyer data puts the median PDL contract at $12,500 a year.

| Plan | Price | Notes |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Free | $0 /mo | Contact values hidden |
| Pro, person | $98 /mo | $940/yr billed annually |
| Pro, company | $100 /mo | $960/yr billed annually |

## How much does People Data Labs cost in 2026?

People Data Labs (PDL) costs $0 on its Free plan and from $98 a month on its Pro plan for person data, per [PDL's person pricing page](https://www.peopledatalabs.com/pricing/person) on October 15, 2026. Pro billed annually starts at $940 a year, which PDL says saves 20%. Enterprise is priced by quote. Company data is a separate plan that starts at $100 a month, or $960 a year, per [PDL's company pricing page](https://www.peopledatalabs.com/pricing/company).

| PDL plan | Starts at | Credits | Term |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Free | $0 | Up to 100 person records a month | No commitment |
| Pro, person data | $98 a month, or $940 a year | 350 to 8,333 a month, or 4,200 to 99,999 a year | Monthly or annual |
| Pro, company data | $100 a month, or $960 a year | From 1,000 a month | Monthly or annual |
| Pro, IP data | $95.40 a month | From 1,325 a month | Monthly or annual |
| Enterprise | Custom quote | From 100,000 person credits a year | Annual contract |

The credit ranges, the IP plan and the Enterprise starting volume come from PDL's help center, which now asks for a login. We read its [pricing and credits article](https://web.archive.org/web/20251011032351/https://support.peopledatalabs.com/hc/en-us/articles/25794271805211-Pricing-credits) and its [plan types article](https://web.archive.org/web/20251123011232/https://support.peopledatalabs.com/hc/en-us/articles/27546010665115-Plan-types-Free-Pro-and-Enterprise) through Internet Archive copies from late 2025.

Pro adds what Free leaves out: real contact data, premium field bundles as paid add-ons, CSV enrichment and email support. Pro accounts get 3 API keys and Free accounts get 1, per [PDL's account docs](https://docs.peopledatalabs.com/docs/create-an-account). Enterprise adds formal data testing, flexible payment terms, data license feeds, a designated success team and SSO, per [PDL's pricing page](https://www.peopledatalabs.com/pricing/person).

Each PDL product is a separate plan with its own credits. A Pro plan for the Person Enrichment API does not reveal contact values in the Person Search API, per [PDL's Free plan starter bundle article](https://web.archive.org/web/20250515212449/https://support.peopledatalabs.com/hc/en-us/articles/30910938133147-Free-Plan-Person-Starter-Bundle). If you need both, you pay for both.

## What does People Data Labs charge per credit at each tier?

A PDL person credit costs $0.28 on the entry Pro tier and falls to $0.25 at 5,001 or more credits a month. Billed annually, it runs from $0.224 down to $0.20. These rates come from PDL's [pricing and credits article](https://web.archive.org/web/20251011032351/https://support.peopledatalabs.com/hc/en-us/articles/25794271805211-Pricing-credits), archived on October 11, 2025. The entry prices still match the live pricing page: 350 credits at $0.28 is $98, and 4,200 credits at $0.224 is $940.80.

**Figure 1: People Data Labs cost per person credit by tier.** Bar chart of the price of one person credit on People Data Labs' self-serve Pro plan. Billed monthly, Tier 1 (350 to 2,500 credits) costs $0.28 a credit, Tier 2 (2,501 to 5,000) $0.265 and Tier 3 (5,001 to 8,333) $0.25. Billed annually, Tier 1 (4,200 to 30,000 credits a year) costs $0.224, Tier 2 (30,001 to 60,000) $0.212 and Tier 3 (60,001 to 99,999) $0.20. The entry plan costs $98 a month, or $940.80 a year.

*Price of one person credit on PDL's Pro plan at each volume tier. The text in each bar is the plan price at that tier's smallest and largest credit count. Person Enrichment and Person Search use these rates. The $98 and $940 entry prices match [PDL's pricing page](https://www.peopledatalabs.com/pricing/person) on October 15, 2026.*

Person Enrichment and Person Search use the same tier table. Self-serve tops out at 8,333 credits a month or 99,999 a year. PDL's other products have their own tiers:

| PDL product | Billed monthly, per credit | Billed annually, per credit | Entry plan |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Company Enrichment and Search | $0.10 to $0.065 | $0.08 to $0.05 | $100 a month for 1,000 credits |
| IP Enrichment | $0.072 to $0.048 | $0.06 to $0.04 | $95.40 a month for 1,325 credits |
| Person Identify | $0.55 to $0.50 per call | $0.44 to $0.40 per call | $110 a month for 200 credits |

The help center copy is from 2025, so confirm the higher tiers in your PDL dashboard before you commit. The entry tiers above match what PDL's live pricing pages show today.

### How much do PDL field bundles add?

Field bundles add a fixed price to every credit on a Pro plan, per PDL's [field bundle add-ons article](https://web.archive.org/web/20250115192016/https://support.peopledatalabs.com/hc/en-us/articles/25795669943963-Field-bundle-add-ons). Inferred Salary, Inferred Years Experience, LinkedIn Connections and Ticker Information each add $0.01. Premium Resume Fields and Premium Company Attributes each add $0.03. For company data, Inferred Revenue adds $0.03, Funding Details $0.08 and Company Premium $0.10.

PDL's own example: 2,750 Person Search credits at $0.265, plus Premium Company Attributes at $0.03, comes to $0.295 a credit, or $811.25 a month. The bundle price applies to every credit on the plan, not only to records where the extra fields exist.

### Do People Data Labs credits roll over?

Yes, up to a cap. Unused PDL credits carry into the next billing cycle, up to 100% of that cycle's credit amount, on monthly and annual plans, per PDL's [rollover credits article](https://web.archive.org/web/20250911030220/https://support.peopledatalabs.com/hc/en-us/articles/25793630995355-Rollover-Credits). A 1,000-credit monthly plan with 1,500 unused credits starts the next month with 2,000 and loses 500. If you cancel, you keep your credits until the cycle ends. Then all of them are lost, rollover included, per PDL's [cancellation article](https://web.archive.org/web/20250911024343/https://support.peopledatalabs.com/hc/en-us/articles/23553747333531-Cancel-your-plan).

## Which fields does each People Data Labs plan return?

PDL's Free plan returns profile fields, such as name, job title, company and work history, but hides contact data. Since PDL's January 2025 release (v29.0), Free plans show emails, phone numbers, birth dates and every location field except country and continent as true or false, per PDL's [Free plan starter bundle article](https://web.archive.org/web/20250515212449/https://support.peopledatalabs.com/hc/en-us/articles/30910938133147-Free-Plan-Person-Starter-Bundle). Pro and Enterprise return the real values.

**Figure 2: Which fields each People Data Labs plan returns.** A grid of person data fields by People Data Labs plan. Free returns name, title, company and work history, but shows work and personal emails, mobile and other phone numbers as true or false only, and location only at country level. Pro and Enterprise return the real values. Premium field bundles such as inferred salary, resume fields and company revenue are paid add-ons on Pro and Enterprise. M&A bundles, preview APIs and bulk data licenses are available on Enterprise only.

*What each PDL plan returns for person data. Since January 2025, Free plans show contact fields as true or false, and location only down to country. Field bundles cost $0.01 to $0.03 extra per credit. Sources: [PDL's Free plan starter bundle article](https://web.archive.org/web/20250515212449/https://support.peopledatalabs.com/hc/en-us/articles/30910938133147-Free-Plan-Person-Starter-Bundle) (archived), [PDL's pricing page](https://www.peopledatalabs.com/pricing/person), [field bundle docs](https://docs.peopledatalabs.com/docs/person-data-field-bundles) and [data license docs](https://docs.peopledatalabs.com/docs/data-license), checked October 15, 2026.*

A `true` means PDL holds a value, and `false` means it does not. So on Free you can count how many of your records would come back with a `work_email` or `mobile_phone`, but you cannot see or test the values. Premium bundles, such as inferred salary or resume summaries, cost extra on Pro and Enterprise. The M&A bundles are [Enterprise only](https://docs.peopledatalabs.com/docs/person-data-field-bundles).

### Which PDL email fields should you use for outreach?

Use `work_email` or `recommended_personal_email`, and skip the `emails` and `personal_emails` arrays, which hold historical addresses, per PDL's [email outreach guide](https://docs.peopledatalabs.com/docs/email-data-for-outreach). In October 2025, PDL began validating and removing non-deliverable emails from those two fields. It still tells customers to validate every email before outreach, at least once a quarter and ideally right before a large campaign.

That check is a separate step and a separate bill. In PDL's [Person Schema](https://docs.peopledatalabs.com/docs/fields), `work_email` is a plain string with no status field. PDL says it hand-validated a sample of `mobile_phone` values and found over 90% accuracy, but each number still comes back without a line check. Enrich.chat returns a status with each field instead: `verified`, `catch_all` or `unknown` for work emails, and a line type of `mobile` or `unknown` for mobiles. The free [catch-all checker](https://enrich.chat/tools/catch-all-checker/) shows why some domains can never be fully verified.

## What counts as a billable match in the People Data Labs API?

For Person Enrichment, a match is any 200 response, and it costs 1 credit. A 404, which means no profile was found, costs nothing, per PDL's [Person Enrichment reference](https://docs.peopledatalabs.com/docs/reference-person-enrichment-api). Two parameters you control decide where that line falls.

**Figure 3: When a People Data Labs enrichment call is billed.** A flow for one Person Enrichment call. You send a profile URL, email, phone, or a name plus company. PDL finds the best profile, scores it from 1 to 10 against min_likelihood, which defaults to 2, and checks any fields listed in required, such as work_email. If both checks pass, the API returns 200 and bills 1 credit. If not, it returns 404 and nothing is billed. At the default of 2, a match has roughly a 10 to 30% chance of being the right person.

*How a Person Enrichment call becomes billable. Raising `min_likelihood` or adding `required` turns weak or incomplete matches into free 404s. Person Search bills per record returned, and Person Identify bills every call, even a 404. Sources: [PDL's Person Enrichment reference](https://docs.peopledatalabs.com/docs/reference-person-enrichment-api), [input parameter docs](https://docs.peopledatalabs.com/docs/input-parameters-person-enrichment-api) and [Person Identify reference](https://docs.peopledatalabs.com/docs/reference-person-identify-api), checked October 15, 2026.*

- **`min_likelihood` sets the match bar.** PDL scores each match from 1 to 10. The default bar is 2, and PDL's [input parameter docs](https://docs.peopledatalabs.com/docs/input-parameters-person-enrichment-api) say a score of 2 has roughly a 10 to 30% chance of being the person you asked for. PDL suggests 6 or more when accuracy matters. Requests with only a name and a location rarely score above 4.
- **`required` sets the fields a match must have.** With `required=work_email`, a profile without a work email returns a 404 instead of a billed 200. PDL says this parameter ensures you are only charged for responses with the fields you want.
- **Person Search bills per record.** Every record in the response costs 1 credit, and a search returns 200 even when it finds nothing, per PDL's [Person Search reference](https://docs.peopledatalabs.com/docs/reference-person-search-api). The `size` parameter, 1 to 100, caps the credits one call can use.
- **Person Identify bills every call.** It uses 1 credit per call, whether it returns 20 profiles or a 404, per PDL's [Person Identify reference](https://docs.peopledatalabs.com/docs/reference-person-identify-api).
- **Bulk enrichment bills per match.** The [Bulk Person Enrichment API](https://docs.peopledatalabs.com/docs/bulk-enrichment-api) takes up to 100 people per request and deducts 1 credit for each 200 in the batch.
- **Running out returns a 402.** When your purchased and overage credits are used up, every request returns a `402` error, per PDL's [usage limits docs](https://docs.peopledatalabs.com/docs/usage-limits). The response headers show an overage balance, but PDL does not publish an overage price.

The practical rule: send the strongest identifier you have, such as a LinkedIn URL or an email, and set `min_likelihood` and `required` on every call. Otherwise you can pay for a weak match, or for a record with no contact data at all.

## What are the People Data Labs API endpoints?

PDL's API has separate endpoints for people, companies and IP addresses. All of them sit under `https://api.peopledatalabs.com/v5/` and take your key in an `X-Api-Key` header, per PDL's [API docs](https://docs.peopledatalabs.com/docs/usage-limits). The [Person endpoints guide](https://docs.peopledatalabs.com/docs/person-endpoints) explains how the three person APIs differ.

| PDL API | What it does | What uses a credit |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Person Enrichment `/v5/person/enrich` | Returns the one best-matching profile for a profile URL, email, phone, or a name plus company, school or location | 1 credit per match. A 404 is free |
| Bulk Person Enrichment `POST /v5/person/bulk` | Runs up to 100 enrichments in one request | 1 credit per match in the batch |
| Person Search `/v5/person/search` | Finds everyone who fits an SQL or Elasticsearch query on any schema field, 1 to 100 records per page | 1 credit per record returned |
| Person Identify `/v5/person/identify` | Returns up to 20 likely profiles from loose inputs, ranked by match score | 1 credit per call, even a 404 |
| Company Enrichment and Search `/v5/company/enrich` `/v5/company/search` | One company from a name, website, ticker or profile, or a list from a query | 1 company credit per match or record |
| IP Enrichment `/v5/ip/enrich` | The company and location behind an IP address | 1 IP credit per match |
| Autocomplete and Cleaner APIs | Suggest search values, and clean company, school and location names | No credits; rate limits apply |

### A sample Person Enrichment request

This request looks up a person by LinkedIn URL. It only pays for a strong match, and only if the profile has a work email:

```
curl -G "https://api.peopledatalabs.com/v5/person/enrich" \
  -H "X-Api-Key: YOUR_API_KEY" \
  --data-urlencode "profile=linkedin.com/in/seanthorne" \
  --data-urlencode "min_likelihood=6" \
  --data-urlencode "required=work_email"
```

A match returns `"status": 200`, a `likelihood` score and the profile in `data`, as in the example from PDL's [API reference](https://docs.peopledatalabs.com/docs/reference-person-enrichment-api):

```
{
  "status": 200,
  "likelihood": 10,
  "data": {
    "id": "qEnOZ5Oh0poWnQ1luFBfVw_0000",
    "full_name": "sean thorne",
    ...
  }
}
```

Text comes back in lowercase unless you set `titlecase=true`, and empty fields are `null`. A miss returns a `404` with the type `not_found`, per PDL's [error docs](https://docs.peopledatalabs.com/docs/errors). To shrink responses, pass `data_include` with only the fields you need. It trims the payload, not the price.

## What are the rate limits on each People Data Labs plan?

PDL's rate limits rise with your plan. Person Enrichment allows 100 requests a minute on Free, 500 on Pro and 1,000 on Enterprise, per PDL's [plan types article](https://web.archive.org/web/20251123011232/https://support.peopledatalabs.com/hc/en-us/articles/27546010665115-Plan-types-Free-Pro-and-Enterprise), archived in November 2025. Search and Identify are much tighter.

| PDL API | Free | Pro | Enterprise |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Person Enrichment | 100 a minute | 500 a minute | 1,000 a minute |
| Person Search | 10 a minute | 20 a minute | 60 a minute |
| Person Identify | 10 a minute | 20 a minute | 60 a minute |
| Company Enrichment | Not listed | 500 a minute | 1,000 a minute |
| IP Enrichment | 100 a minute | 500 a minute | 500 a minute |
| Autocomplete | 60 a minute, 1,000 a day | 60 a minute, 1,000 a day | 60 a minute, 1,000 a day |

PDL's API reference gives slightly different defaults: 1,000 a minute for paying customers on [Person Enrichment](https://docs.peopledatalabs.com/docs/reference-person-enrichment-api), and 10 a minute for free customers on [Company Enrichment](https://docs.peopledatalabs.com/docs/reference-company-enrichment-api). Your key's real limit is in the `x-ratelimit-limit` header of each response. Limits use a fixed one-minute window per key, and each endpoint has its own, per PDL's [usage limits docs](https://docs.peopledatalabs.com/docs/usage-limits). Going over returns a `429`. Responses are capped at 1MB, so large Search or Bulk calls may need fewer records per call, or gzip.

For more throughput, the Bulk Person Enrichment API packs up to 100 enrichments into each request. Enrich.chat asks agents to keep to 5 requests a second, with a `retry_after` value on any 429, and higher plans allow more requests.

## How much does People Data Labs Enterprise cost?

PDL does not publish Enterprise prices. Enterprise plans are annual contracts with custom volume, per [PDL's pricing page](https://www.peopledatalabs.com/pricing/person). PDL's [plan types article](https://web.archive.org/web/20251123011232/https://support.peopledatalabs.com/hc/en-us/articles/27546010665115-Plan-types-Free-Pro-and-Enterprise) starts Enterprise at 100,000 Person Enrichment credits a year and 400,000 Company Enrichment credits a year. PDL's [account docs](https://docs.peopledatalabs.com/docs/create-an-account) send anyone who needs more than 100,000 records to sales.

[Vendr's buyer data](https://www.vendr.com/marketplace/people-data-labs) shows a median People Data Labs contract of $12,500 a year, with a range of $9,858 to $27,800. Vendr does not say how many deals that covers. For scale, the largest self-serve annual plan, 99,999 person credits at $0.20, costs $19,999.80 a year.

### What is a People Data Labs data license?

A data license is PDL's bulk option. Instead of calling the API, you receive person records as files on an annual license, either the whole dataset or a custom subset, per PDL's [data license overview](https://docs.peopledatalabs.com/docs/data-license). During the license you can use the data in any way PDL's acceptable use policy allows. Delivery runs through S3, GCP or Azure, and delta files carry only the records that changed in each build. Data licenses are Enterprise only, per [PDL's pricing page](https://www.peopledatalabs.com/pricing/person).

Enterprise also opens the [Preview Enrichment API](https://docs.peopledatalabs.com/docs/preview-enrichment-api), which returns a few real values and true or false flags for the rest of the record.

## What does it cost to enrich 1,000 people with People Data Labs?

Enriching 1,000 people on PDL's Pro plan costs $280 a month at the entry rate of $0.28 a credit, or $2,688 a year billed annually. That is our arithmetic from PDL's [published tiers](https://web.archive.org/web/20251011032351/https://support.peopledatalabs.com/hc/en-us/articles/25794271805211-Pricing-credits), assuming all 1,000 match. Each credit buys one full record, with whatever profile and contact fields PDL holds for that person.

| Setup | What you pay for | Cost for 1,000 matches |
| --- | --- | --- |
| PDL Pro, monthly | 1,000 credits at $0.28 | $280 a month |
| PDL Pro, annual | 12,000 credits a year at $0.224 | $2,688 a year, or $224 a month |
| PDL Pro with Premium Company Attributes | $0.28 + $0.03 per credit | $310 a month |
| PDL Free | 100 credits, contact values hidden | Not possible |
| Enrich.chat, email and mobile | 260,000 credits: 10 per email, 250 per mobile found | About $46.80 pro-rated at the Scale plan rate; the plan is $90 a month |
| Enrich.chat, profile only | 5,000 credits for 1,000 profiles found | About $1.45 pro-rated; the Growth plan is $29 a month |

The two models price different things. PDL sells a record: one credit returns the whole profile, but a matched profile with no work email still uses a credit unless you set `required`. Enrich.chat spends credits on each field it finds, and a lookup uses 0 credits when `found` is false. Both are sold as monthly plans, so the pro-rated figures are not the bills. Four more points change the real PDL cost:

- **You prepay.** A 1,000-credit plan costs $280 whether you use 1,000 credits or 400. Unused credits roll over up to 100% of the next month's amount.
- **Validation is extra.** PDL tells you to run every email through a validation service before outreach, as its [email guide](https://docs.peopledatalabs.com/docs/email-data-for-outreach) explains.
- **Each product is a plan.** Enrichment and Search need separate Pro plans before either shows contact values.
- **Volume lowers the rate.** At 5,001 credits a month the rate falls to $0.25, and an annual plan of 60,001 credits or more drops it to $0.20.

Enrich.chat has plans to size too, but every IP address gets 10 free lookups a day without signup, and each response includes `credits_used`, so your agent can report the credits a list used. The Growth plan, $29 for 100,000 credits, covers 10,000 emails or 400 mobiles a month. The [Enrich.chat pricing page](https://enrich.chat/pricing/) has the full rate card, and the [person enrichment API](https://enrich.chat/api/person-enrichment/) page lists every field.

## What are the best People Data Labs alternatives?

The best alternative depends on why you buy PDL. For contact data inside an AI agent or app, on monthly credit plans from $29, Enrich.chat fits best. For bulk employee and company data, Coresignal is the closest match. Apollo suits teams that also want a sales app, and ZoomInfo suits companies ready for an enterprise contract. Our guide to the [best B2B data providers](https://enrich.chat/blog/best-b2b-data-providers/) covers more options.

*Checked on each vendor's own pricing pages and API docs on October 15, 2026.*

| API | How you pay | Contact fields | Verification status | Starting price |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |

- **Enrich.chat** takes a LinkedIn URL, an email, or a name and company at `GET /v1/person`, and returns a status on each email and mobile. A work email costs 10 credits and a mobile 250, on monthly plans from $29 with unlimited seats and no annual contract. Any [AI agent](https://enrich.chat/agents/) can start from one prompt that points it at [agents.md](https://enrich.chat/agents.md), or add the [MCP server](https://enrich.chat/install/) with no key.
- **Coresignal** sells employee, company and job data by API, or as [datasets from $1,000](https://coresignal.com/pricing/). On its Mini plan, an employee record's 20 credits work out to about $0.39. Its [Contact Enrichment API](https://docs.coresignal.com/employee-data/api/contact-enrichment-api) takes a Coresignal employee ID, not a name or a LinkedIn URL.
- **Apollo API** sits inside Apollo's sales platform. [Apollo Basic](https://www.apollo.io/pricing) includes 30,000 credits a seat a year, and the [People Enrichment endpoint](https://docs.apollo.io/reference/people-enrichment) uses 0 credits when nothing is found. See our [Apollo API guide](https://enrich.chat/blog/apollo-api/) and [Apollo pricing breakdown](https://enrich.chat/blog/apollo-pricing/).
- **ZoomInfo API** enriches up to 25 contacts per request and [charges nothing for a no match](https://docs.gtm.ai/reference/enrichinterface_enrichcontact). Enterprise contracts have a median of $33,500 a year, per [Vendr's buyer data](https://www.vendr.com/marketplace/zoominfo). See [ZoomInfo API pricing](https://enrich.chat/blog/zoominfo-api-pricing/).

### When is People Data Labs the better choice?

- **You want the data itself.** PDL's annual data licenses deliver bulk files with delta updates, which an API-only vendor cannot match.
- **You need broad profile fields.** A PDL record carries work history, education, skills and social profiles, with add-ons such as inferred salary.
- **You query on any field.** Person Search runs SQL or Elasticsearch over the full Person Schema.
- **You resolve identities.** PDL matches on email hashes, phone numbers and LinkedIn IDs, and Person Identify returns up to 20 ranked candidates.

Enrich.chat has two gaps to weigh. Its person response covers the current job and contact fields, with no work history, education or bulk dataset files. And it has no visual table builder or CSV upload screen: your agent adds the [remote MCP server](https://enrich.chat/install/) or reads agents.md and calls the plain HTTPS API instead. If you need an email or mobile with a status for each row, test it on real rows first:

```text
Use www.enrich.chat to find a work email and a mobile for each person in my list. Keep my columns, mark misses as not found, and tell me how many matched and the total credits_used, so I can compare it with a People Data Labs plan.
```

## Frequently asked questions

### Does People Data Labs have a free plan?

Yes. People Data Labs' Free plan costs $0 and includes up to 100 person credits a month, per [PDL's pricing page](https://www.peopledatalabs.com/pricing/person). Contact data is hidden: emails, phone numbers and street addresses come back as true or false, so you can see whether PDL has a value but not the value itself. PDL's help center also describes a 30-day Pro trial with 500 credits and all field bundles, per an [archived copy of its free trials article](https://web.archive.org/web/20251011030830/https://support.peopledatalabs.com/hc/en-us/articles/40404738935323-Free-Trials).

### How much does People Data Labs cost per record?

A person record costs $0.28 on People Data Labs' entry Pro tier, which is $98 a month for 350 credits. The rate falls to $0.265 above 2,500 credits and $0.25 above 5,000 a month, and to $0.224 to $0.20 on annual plans, per PDL's [archived pricing and credits article](https://web.archive.org/web/20251011032351/https://support.peopledatalabs.com/hc/en-us/articles/25794271805211-Pricing-credits). Company records cost $0.10 to $0.05. Field bundles add $0.01 to $0.03 per credit, and you are only charged when a record matches.

### Does People Data Labs charge when there is no match?

Not on enrichment. A Person Enrichment call that returns a 404 costs nothing, and a 200 costs 1 credit, per [PDL's API reference](https://docs.peopledatalabs.com/docs/reference-person-enrichment-api). Person Search bills per record returned, so an empty result is free. Person Identify is the exception: it uses 1 credit per call, even when it returns a 404. Set `min_likelihood` and `required` so weak or incomplete matches come back as free 404s.

### Are People Data Labs emails verified?

People Data Labs returns emails without a status field. In October 2025 PDL began removing non-deliverable emails from its work_email and recommended_personal_email fields, but its [email outreach guide](https://docs.peopledatalabs.com/docs/email-data-for-outreach) still tells you to validate every email before outreach, at least once a quarter. The emails and personal_emails arrays hold historical addresses and are not meant for outreach. Enrich.chat marks each work email verified, catch_all or unknown.

### Do People Data Labs credits roll over?

Yes, up to a cap. Unused credits carry into the next billing cycle, up to 100% of the next period's credit amount, on monthly and annual plans, per an [archived copy of PDL's rollover article](https://web.archive.org/web/20250911030220/https://support.peopledatalabs.com/hc/en-us/articles/25793630995355-Rollover-Credits). A 1,000-credit plan with 1,500 unused credits starts the next month with 2,000 and loses 500. If you cancel, your remaining credits, rollover included, are lost when the cycle ends.

### What is the best alternative to People Data Labs?

It depends on what you buy PDL for. For work emails and mobiles in an AI agent or app, on monthly credit plans from $29, Enrich.chat fits best; see the [pricing page](https://enrich.chat/pricing/). For bulk employee and company datasets, [Coresignal](https://coresignal.com/pricing/) sells files from $1,000. For a sales app with an API, [Apollo](https://www.apollo.io/pricing) starts at $49 a seat a month. ZoomInfo suits teams ready for an enterprise contract.
