# What is 6sense? The platform, its buying stages, the price and the contact data it leaves to you

6sense finds companies that look ready to buy and scores how close they are. Here is what it includes, what buyers report paying, and where the people and emails come from.

By Enrich.chat Editorial. Updated October 16, 2026.

**Short answer:** 6sense is a San Francisco software company whose platform finds companies that are researching what you sell, scores how close each one is to buying, and helps teams reach them with ads, email and seller alerts. It publishes no price. [Vendr's buyer data](https://www.vendr.com/marketplace/6sense) shows a median contract of $62,220 a year, and contact emails and phone numbers are paid for with data credits.

## Key takeaways

- 6sense works at the account level. It spots companies that look ready to buy, sorts them into five buying stages, and runs ads, email and alerts on top. It is not a CRM, and contact details cost extra credits.
- 6sense publishes no price. Vendr's buyer data shows a median of $62,220 a year across 386 purchases, with multi-year terms of two to three years typical and onboarding fees of $10,000 to $50,000 or more.
- Emails and phone numbers come from data credits, and 6sense's support docs say each reveal costs 1 credit. 6sense ended its Sales Intelligence free plan on August 12, 2026, according to a post on its community site, although some pages still mention 50 free credits.
- 6sense runs an MCP server for Claude, ChatGPT and other agents, but it needs an eligible 6sense license.
- Enrich.chat has no intent data. It picks up after 6sense names an account: search the account's website for people by title, then look up each work email and its status.

## What is 6sense?

6sense is a software company, based in San Francisco, that sells a platform for finding companies that look ready to buy and acting on them. Its [home page](https://6sense.com/) describes the product as intelligence for agentic go-to-market work. Marketers use it to aim ads and email at accounts that show buying interest. Sellers use it to decide whom to contact first.

The name causes mix-ups. 6sense is not [Sixsense.ai](https://www.sixsense.ai/), which sells AI that inspects defects in chip factories and mentions no tie to 6sense. It is also not a CRM. 6sense's [integration docs](https://support.6sense.com/docs/6sense-sales-intelligence-integrations) list Salesforce, HubSpot, Microsoft Dynamics, Outreach, Salesloft and Gong Engage, and say a CRM integration is needed to see the Sales Intelligence dashboards. Our guide to [sales intelligence](https://enrich.chat/blog/what-is-sales-intelligence/) explains where this kind of tool sits next to a CRM.

## What does 6sense do, and what is a buying stage?

6sense collects buying signals, ties them to companies, scores how close each company is to buying, and helps you act on the score. The [About page](https://6sense.com/about/) says it monitors more than a trillion signals a day. That is the company's own figure, not an audited one. The work has three parts.

1. **See.** The [intent data page](https://6sense.com/platform/intent-data/) says 6sense combines its own intent network with partners it names as Bombora, TechTarget, TrustRadius and G2. You can track an unlimited number of custom keywords, in more than forty languages. 6sense also matches anonymous web traffic to accounts, which it calls web deanonymization.
2. **Score.** Predictive models place each account in one of five buying stages. The [support docs](https://support.6sense.com/docs/predictive-buying-stages) say a stage reflects the likelihood that an account opens or progresses an opportunity in the next 90 days.
3. **Act.** [Revenue Marketing](https://6sense.com/platform/revenue-marketing/) runs ads across display, social and connected TV, builds audiences from fit, intent and stage, and uses AI email agents that write, send and reply. [Sales Intelligence](https://6sense.com/platform/sales-intelligence/) surfaces accounts likely to buy and key buying group members, and works in a Chrome extension, your CRM or your sales engagement tool. It also has alerts and a list builder.

Intent data is the base of the first step. Our [intent data guide](https://enrich.chat/blog/intent-data/) covers the types and limits, and our [intent data providers](https://enrich.chat/blog/intent-data-providers/) page compares the sellers.

### How does 6sense score a buying stage?

6sense gives each account an intent score from 0 to 100 and sorts it into one of five stages. The table paraphrases the [stage definitions](https://support.6sense.com/docs/predictive-buying-stages), and Figure 1 plots the score ranges.

| Stage | Intent score | What 6sense says about it |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Target | 0 to 19 | Little or no research activity, so not treated as in market |
| Awareness | 20 to 49 | Some activity; top of the funnel, likely just starting to look |
| Consideration | 50 to 69 | Activity well above its own baseline; the first mid-funnel stage |
| Decision | 70 to 85 | Significant research across data sources; mid to low funnel |
| Purchase | 86 to 100 | Bottom of the funnel and most likely to open an opportunity soon |

**Figure 1: 6sense buying stages on a 0 to 100 intent score.** A range chart of 6sense's five predictive buying stages on an intent score from 0 to 100. Target covers 0 to 19, Awareness 20 to 49, Consideration 50 to 69, Decision 70 to 85 and Purchase 86 to 100. A shaded band around Decision and Purchase marks where a 6sense Qualified Account fires, when an account climbs into those stages from an earlier one.

*6sense's five predictive buying stages on its 0 to 100 intent score. A 6sense Qualified Account fires when an account climbs from an earlier stage into Decision or Purchase. Source: [6sense predictive buying stages](https://support.6sense.com/docs/predictive-buying-stages) and [6QA glossary](https://6sense.com/glossary/6sense-qualified-account/), checked October 16, 2026.*

### What is a 6QA?

A 6QA, or 6sense Qualified Account, is an account that 6sense flags as ready for sales contact. The [6sense glossary](https://6sense.com/glossary/6sense-qualified-account/) says it happens when an account moves from Target, Awareness or Consideration up to Decision or Purchase, driven by intent, fit and engagement. The [support docs](https://support.6sense.com/docs/6sense-qualified-accounts-6qas) say 6QAs are best used as a replacement for SQLs, and that they are accounts held in 6sense, not CRM accounts, opportunities or leads. A 6QA is an alert on a company. Someone still has to find the people at it.

## What does 6sense sell, and what is in each package?

6sense sells several products on one data layer, and its Sales Intelligence product comes in three packages with no published prices. The table lists each product as 6sense describes it on its own pages.

| Product | Built for | What 6sense says it does |
| --- | --- | --- |
| [Revenue Marketing](https://6sense.com/platform/revenue-marketing/) | Marketing teams | Ads on display, social and connected TV; audiences built from fit, intent and stage; AI email agents; a workflow canvas |
| [Sales Intelligence](https://6sense.com/platform/sales-intelligence/) | Sellers and BDRs | Highlights accounts likely to buy and shows buying group members, in Chrome, a CRM or a sales engagement tool |
| [Sales Copilot](https://6sense.com/platform/ai-prospecting-tool/) | Sellers | Account prioritization, AI account summaries and an email writer marked as beta |
| [Predictive Modeling](https://6sense.com/platform/) | Marketing and RevOps | Spots buyers early in their research and suggests how to engage |
| [RevvyAI](https://6sense.com/platform/) | Any user | Answers plain-language questions grounded in 6sense data |
| [MCP server](https://6sense.com/platform/mcp-server/) | AI agents | Brings signals and account intelligence into MCP-compatible agents; needs an eligible 6sense license |

### How do the three Sales Intelligence packages differ?

The packages differ in three rows. [6sense's pricing page](https://6sense.com/pricing/) lists third-party intent, web visitor identification, job postings, technographics, the Chrome extension and an AI email writer (beta) in all three. Predictive AI and contact data acquisition are what change.

| Feature | Credits + Predictive AI | Credits only | Predictive AI only |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Predictive AI model, scores and dashboards | Yes | No | Yes |
| AI recommended actions and account summaries | Yes | No | Yes |
| Contact data acquisition, buyer discovery and list builder | Yes | Yes | No |
| Third-party intent and web visitor identification | Yes | Yes | Yes |

The page says data credits are used to reveal and export emails and phone numbers. A package without credits has no data acquisition, buyer discovery or list builder. According to 6sense's [support docs](https://support.6sense.com/docs/sales-intelligence-single-license), a single license replaced its older Sales Intelligence plans on May 22, 2025.

### Can an AI agent use 6sense?

Yes, through 6sense's MCP server. [Its page](https://6sense.com/platform/mcp-server/) says the server works with Claude, ChatGPT, Writer, Agentforce and other MCP-compatible agents, and that you connect with your existing 6sense sign-in over OAuth. It requires an eligible 6sense license. The page lists account summaries, keyword intent trends, segment lookups, website visitor activity and person lookups, with contact details available for purchase. An agent can use 6sense, but only through a 6sense contract. Our guide to the [best MCP servers for sales](https://enrich.chat/blog/best-mcp-servers-for-sales/) compares the options.

## Where does 6sense get its data?

6sense says its signals flow into a data hub called Signalverse, where its AI validates them before they appear as insights. Its [B2B buyer data page](https://6sense.com/platform/b2b-buyer-data/) says intent comes from 6sense's B2B intent network, its own site traffic and third-party providers such as G2 and Bombora, which it centralizes.

For contacts, the same page says business emails and direct-dial numbers are verified. It says contact data is refreshed every 45 to 60 days, company details update daily, and technology data is validated bi-weekly. The page gives its counts twice, with different numbers:

| 6sense's own count | Stats block | FAQ answer |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Company profiles | 75M+ across 200+ countries | 65M+ |
| Individual profiles | 481M+ published (750M+ captured) | 450M |
| Verified business emails | 111M+ | 100M+ |
| Direct-dial phone numbers | 98M+ | 55M+ |

These are marketing figures, and we found no outside audit of them. Every B2B database ages as people change jobs, and our guide to [B2B data decay](https://enrich.chat/blog/b2b-data-decay/) shows how fast. Test any vendor on your own target accounts before you sign.

## How much does 6sense cost?

6sense publishes no price, and buyers report contracts that start in the five figures and run for several years. [Vendr's buyer data](https://www.vendr.com/marketplace/6sense), last updated February 2026, says 6sense does not publish transparent list pricing. It puts the median buyer at $62,220 a year across 386 purchases, with a range of $11,234 to $176,511. Vendr's page shows a smaller deal count elsewhere, so use the median as a guide, not a quote.

Terms matter as much as the headline. Vendr says multi-year commitments, typically two to three years, bring lower annual pricing. It says contracts often include increases of 5% to 10% a year, and that implementation and onboarding fees can run $10,000 to $50,000 or more. [Warmly](https://www.warmly.ai/p/blog/6sense-pricing), a competitor, estimates $60,000 to $100,000 a year for most companies and says paid plans need multi-year contracts, typically two years. Treat that as a rival's estimate. Figure 2 adds up three years at Vendr's median. It is our arithmetic, not a quote.

**Figure 2: Three years at Vendr's median 6sense contract.** Three stacked bars, each showing three years of a contract that starts at Vendr's median of $62,220 a year. With no yearly increase the three years total $186,660. With a 5% yearly increase they total $196,149. With a 10% yearly increase they total $205,948. Orange marks the increase on top of the flat amount. Onboarding fees are not included.

*Three years at Vendr's median yearly contract of $62,220, with no increase, 5% and 10% a year. Vendr says yearly increases of 5% to 10% are common. The totals are our arithmetic, and onboarding fees are extra. Source: [Vendr](https://www.vendr.com/marketplace/6sense), last updated February 2026, checked October 16, 2026.*

### How do 6sense credits work, and is there a free plan?

One 6sense credit reveals one person's contact details. The [Discovery docs](https://support.6sense.com/docs/6sense-sales-intelligence-discovery) say each reveal costs 1 credit, covers email and phone together, and shows the email with a confidence grade. Details appear only if 6sense holds them. There is no bulk reveal button, but exporting records marks them as revealed, and the docs say a revealed or exported record is not charged again for 12 months.

There is no free plan any more. 6sense ended its Sales Intelligence free plan on August 12, 2026, according to [a post on its community site](https://revcity.6sense.com/home/discussion/2532/important-update-6sense-sales-intelligence-free-plan-discontinuation-august-12-2026). A Chrome Web Store listing and a competitor guide still describe 50 free credits, but they predate the change. Our [6sense pricing guide](https://enrich.chat/blog/6sense-pricing/) has the details.

## What does 6sense leave out, and who is it for?

6sense leaves out a public price, contact details without credits, and a person-level answer to "who should I email?" It is built for large account-based teams. Four gaps matter most.

- **No price.** You cannot compare 6sense with a rival until you book a demo.
- **Contacts cost extra.** On the [pricing page](https://6sense.com/pricing/), the package without credits has no data acquisition, buyer discovery or list builder.
- **Names, then credits.** The [Sales Intelligence page](https://6sense.com/platform/sales-intelligence/) says it reveals key buying group members. The Discovery docs say their email and phone details depend on what 6sense holds.
- **The unit is the account.** 6sense's home page cites research that puts a buying committee at roughly 11 people. An account at the Decision stage is still a company, not an inbox.

Who is it for? 6sense's navigation lists business services, financial services, manufacturing, software and technology, and transportation and logistics. [Demandbase](https://www.demandbase.com/blog/6sense-reviews/), a competitor, wrote on January 8, 2026 that 6sense fits mature account-based programs and mid-market to enterprise targets with long sales cycles. It said small or early-stage companies and high-velocity SMB sales are a poor fit.

### What do users say about 6sense?

Public ratings we could read are thin. The [Chrome extension](https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/6sense-chrome-extension-%E2%80%93/mkpoonlmiaknmcdcmdhbnehhglndcolf?hl=en) shows 4.7 out of 5 from 46 ratings and about 10,000 users, last updated September 23, 2026. That rates the extension, not the platform. G2, TrustRadius, Gartner Peer Insights and Reddit blocked our reader, so we cite no star ratings from them.

Demandbase's review summarizes G2 and Reddit comments. It lists a steep learning curve, limited historical reporting, doubts about contact accuracy outside the US and for complex roles, and buying-stage errors that create false "hot" accounts. A rival wrote that summary, so read it as a list of questions to ask in a demo.

## When is 6sense the better choice?

6sense is the better choice when your problem is picking which accounts to work, not finding one person. It fits these cases:

- Your market holds far more fit accounts than your team can contact. Our [intent data guide](https://enrich.chat/blog/intent-data/) explains why ranking matters most at that size.
- You run account-based marketing with ads, and you want audiences that update as accounts move between stages. See our [account-based marketing guide](https://enrich.chat/blog/account-based-marketing/).
- You want scoring, ads, email agents, alerts and CRM sync from one vendor, and you can sign a multi-year contract at Vendr's reported prices.
- Your team can act within days of a signal. Our guide to [sales signals](https://enrich.chat/blog/sales-signals/) lists others to watch.

A simpler setup is enough when you can name your fit accounts and reach all of them in a year. It is also the practical route when the budget sits below Vendr's lowest reported contract of $11,234 a year. Our [6sense alternatives](https://enrich.chat/alternatives/6sense/) page lists other ways to buy intent and account data, and [best sales intelligence tools](https://enrich.chat/blog/best-sales-intelligence-tools/) covers the wider field.

## How does Enrich.chat fit after 6sense names an account?

Enrich.chat has no intent data, so it cannot tell you which accounts are in market. It starts after the account is named. Your agent searches the company's website for people by title, then looks up each person's work email and its status. Figure 3 shows the loop, and the example uses a made-up account. Every name, address and website in it is fictional.

**Figure 3: The two-step loop after an intent tool names an account.** Four stacked steps. First, an intent tool such as 6sense names an account and its website. Second, Enrich.chat people search takes the company website and a title and returns names, titles and LinkedIn URLs, using 5 credits for each person returned. Third, Enrich.chat person lookup takes a LinkedIn URL and returns the work email with a status of verified, catch_all or unknown, using 10 credits for each email found. Fourth, the contacts go into your own CRM or outreach tool, which sends the messages.

*The two-step loop after an intent tool names an account. The account is made up, and credit rates come from the [Enrich.chat pricing page](https://enrich.chat/pricing/). Source: Enrich.chat [agents.md](https://enrich.chat/agents.md).*

### Step 1: find the people at the account

Say 6sense marks Harborlane Freight, at harborlane.example.com, as a Decision-stage account. Your agent calls `GET /v1/search` with the company website and a title. Company names alone are not supported, so pass the website. A search returns 25 people a page. This is an illustrative response:

```
GET https://enrich.chat/v1/search
    ?company_domain=harborlane.example.com
    &title=operations
    &limit=3
{"found": true, "count": 2, "total_matches": 2,
 "people": [
  {"id": "per_5Jm3y8RnWc6MsUaF", "name": "Maria Chen",
   "title": "VP of Operations",
   "company": "Harborlane Freight",
   "has_email": true, "has_mobile": false,
   "linkedin_url": "https://www.linkedin.com/in/maria-chen-example"},
  {"id": "per_8Lp4z2TqXd9NvWbG", "name": "Tom Alvarez",
   "title": "Director of Logistics",
   "company": "Harborlane Freight",
   "has_email": true, "has_mobile": false,
   "linkedin_url": "https://www.linkedin.com/in/tom-alvarez-example"}],
 "credits_used": 10,
 "free_lookups_remaining": 9}
```

Each person returned uses 5 credits, so two people use 10. You can add `with_email=true` to include the email, but its status is always unknown in that call. The next step gives the real status.

### Step 2: get each work email and its status

The agent passes each LinkedIn URL to `GET /v1/person` and asks only for the email. A LinkedIn URL is just a lookup key, and Enrich.chat never logs in to LinkedIn. This is an illustrative response:

```
GET https://enrich.chat/v1/person
    ?linkedin_url=linkedin.com/in/maria-chen-example
    &fields=email
{"found": true,
 "name": "Maria Chen",
 "title": "VP of Operations",
 "company": {"name": "Harborlane Freight"},
 "work_email": {
  "value": "maria.chen@harborlane.example.com",
  "status": "verified"},
 "credits_used": 10,
 "free_lookups_remaining": 8}
```

The status is `verified`, `catch_all` or `unknown`. A catch_all domain accepts every address, so the mailbox cannot be confirmed: treat it as risky. Treat every contact as a strong lead, not a guarantee. Our guide to [catch-all emails](https://enrich.chat/blog/what-is-a-catch-all-email/) explains how to handle them. A person not found uses 0 credits.

### What does the loop cost?

Say 6sense marks 50 accounts as in market this month. Your agent finds up to three people at each, which is 150 people, then gets a work email for each one. Each person returned uses 5 credits and each work email uses 10, so the month needs 2,250 credits. That fits the Growth plan at $29 a month, with unlimited seats and no annual contract. People or emails that are not found use 0 credits, so the real total can be lower.

```text
Use www.enrich.chat to take the company websites in my list of 6sense accounts at the Decision or Purchase stage: [paste websites]. For each one, find up to three people with VP, head or director titles in operations, then get each person's work email with its status. Flag catch_all emails as risky, write not found where nothing matches, and tell me the total credits_used.
```

Paste the prompt into ChatGPT, Claude or Cursor. The agent reads [enrich.chat/agents.md](https://enrich.chat/agents.md) and calls the API for each row. You can also add the MCP server at `https://enrich.chat/mcp`, and the [install page](https://enrich.chat/install/) has the steps for each app. The free tier gives 10 lookups a day with no signup, and an API key is optional. To get the account list out of 6sense, export it or ask its MCP server if your license includes one, then paste the websites. For longer runs, see [pricing](https://enrich.chat/pricing/), the [people search API](https://enrich.chat/api/people-search/) and the [person enrichment API](https://enrich.chat/api/person-enrichment/). The free [lead list builder](https://enrich.chat/tools/lead-list-builder/) runs one search at a time, and for whole account lists see [ABM lead lists](https://enrich.chat/use-cases/abm-lead-lists/). Our guide to [finding employees of a company](https://enrich.chat/blog/find-employees-of-a-company/) covers other routes.

### What does Enrich.chat not do?

Enrich.chat is the contact step, not a replacement for 6sense. It has two honest gaps:

- **No intent data, scores or buying stages.** It does not track website visitors or topic research. You need 6sense or another source to say which accounts to work.
- **No sequencing or sending.** The dashboard saves lists and exports CSV, but there is no Chrome extension and no CRM app. A search returns 25 people a page, up to 1,000 per search, requests run at about one a second, and SDKs are planned, not available. Our [data API for AI agents](https://enrich.chat/agents/) page lists what is included.

## Frequently asked questions

### What kind of company is 6sense?

6sense is a software company based in San Francisco that sells a B2B revenue platform. The platform finds accounts that show buying interest, scores their buying stage, and supports ads, email and seller tools. [Its About page](https://6sense.com/about/) lists the legal entity as 6Sense Insights, Inc., names offices in Austin, New York, London, Pune and Bengaluru, and says its AI has been learning B2B deal patterns since 2013.

### What does 6sense do?

6sense collects buying signals, ties them to companies, and scores each company by how close it is to buying. Marketers then target those accounts with ads and AI-written email, and sellers get alerts, account summaries and a list builder. It works at the company level, so it names accounts and some buying group members, not a ready list of verified contacts. See our [intent data guide](https://enrich.chat/blog/intent-data/).

### Is 6sense the same as Sixsense.ai?

No. [Sixsense.ai](https://www.sixsense.ai/) sells AI for defect inspection in semiconductor fabs, and its site mentions no tie to the B2B platform. 6sense, at 6sense.com, sells account-based marketing and sales intelligence software. The names are close, so check the domain before you sign up, read reviews or cite a price.

### Does 6sense have a free plan?

Not any more. 6sense ended its Sales Intelligence free plan on August 12, 2026, according to a [post on its community site](https://revcity.6sense.com/home/discussion/2532/important-update-6sense-sales-intelligence-free-plan-discontinuation-august-12-2026). A Chrome Web Store listing and a competitor guide still describe 50 free credits, but they predate the change. See our [6sense pricing guide](https://enrich.chat/blog/6sense-pricing/) for the details.

### How much does 6sense cost?

6sense publishes no price. [Vendr's buyer data](https://www.vendr.com/marketplace/6sense), last updated February 2026, shows a median of $62,220 a year across 386 purchases, ranging from $11,234 to $176,511. Multi-year terms of two to three years are typical, and onboarding can add $10,000 to $50,000 or more. See our [6sense pricing guide](https://enrich.chat/blog/6sense-pricing/).

### Does Enrich.chat replace 6sense?

No. Enrich.chat has no intent data, buying stages or website visitor tracking, so it cannot tell you which accounts are in market. It covers the step after 6sense names an account: search the account's website for people by title, then look up each person's work email with a status. See the [people search API](https://enrich.chat/api/people-search/) and [pricing](https://enrich.chat/pricing/).

Use www.enrich.chat to take the company websites in my list of 6sense accounts at the Decision or Purchase stage: [paste websites]. For each one, find up to three people with VP, head or director titles in operations, then get each person's work email with its status. Flag catch_all emails as risky, write not found where nothing matches, and tell me the total credits_used.
