# What is ZoomInfo? Products, data sources, price, contract terms and who it is for

ZoomInfo sells business contact and company data, plus software to act on it. Here is what each product does, where the data comes from, what buyers pay, what you sign, and what to use instead.

By Enrich.chat Editorial. Updated October 16, 2026.

**Short answer:** ZoomInfo is a US software company (Nasdaq: GTM) that sells a database of business contacts and companies, plus tools for sales, marketing, operations and recruiting. It reported [$1,249.5 million of revenue in 2025](https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1794515/000179451526000012/zi-20251231.htm). It publishes no platform price and typically sells one to three year, non-cancelable contracts; [Vendr's buyer data](https://www.vendr.com/marketplace/zoominfo) shows a median of $33,500 a year.

## Key takeaways

- ZoomInfo sells a B2B database of people and companies plus software to use it. It had over 35,000 paying customers and $1,249.5 million of revenue in 2025, per its annual report.
- ZoomInfo publishes no platform price. Vendr's median contract is $33,500 a year, the lowest list price we found is $3,000 for 12 months, and the free Lite tier gives 10 credits a month (checked October 16, 2026).
- Paid contracts typically run one to three years and are non-cancelable. About 53% of customer contracts are multi-year, by annualized value.
- ZoomInfo says its data comes from public web pages, data partners, and a network of professionals who share contacts. You can ask to be removed in its Trust Center.
- For contact data inside an AI agent or app, a monthly credit plan with no seats is a cheaper route. Enrich.chat plans start at $29 a month.

## What is ZoomInfo?

ZoomInfo is a US software company that sells business contact and company data, plus tools to act on it. Its [2025 annual report](https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1794515/000179451526000012/zi-20251231.htm) describes go-to-market software, data and intelligence for sales, marketing, operations and recruiting teams. Reps use it to find buyers and get work emails and phone numbers. Marketers use it to build ad audiences, and recruiters use it to find candidates.

The name has a short history. [ZoomInfo says](https://pipeline.zoominfo.com/sales/what-is-zoominfo) DiscoverOrg bought Zoom Information in 2019, took its name, and listed on Nasdaq in 2020. [Wikipedia adds](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ZoomInfo) that Zoom Information began in 2000 as Eliyon Technologies.

ZoomInfo is not Zoom, the video meeting company, and [ZoomInfo says](https://pipeline.zoominfo.com/sales/what-is-zoominfo) the two have no ties. It is also not a CRM. It sends data into Salesforce, HubSpot and similar systems. Our guide to [sales intelligence](https://enrich.chat/blog/what-is-sales-intelligence/) explains where such a tool fits next to a CRM.

## What does ZoomInfo sell?

ZoomInfo sells access to its data, and software built on top of it, as products for different jobs. The 10-K describes three layers: data on companies and contacts, tools that match and route that data, and tools that put it to work. Figure 1 maps them.

**Figure 1: ZoomInfo's three layers and example products.** Three stacked bands. The Intelligence layer holds data on companies and contacts, such as intent, hierarchy, location and financial details. The Orchestration layer matches, enriches and routes that data and syncs it with CRMs. The Engagement layer puts the data to work in outreach, calls, ads, site chat and recruiting. Example products are listed on each band.

*The three layers ZoomInfo describes in its annual report, with example products. The placement of products on each layer is our reading of ZoomInfo's descriptions. Sources: [ZoomInfo Form 10-K](https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1794515/000179451526000012/zi-20251231.htm), [ZoomInfo product explainer](https://pipeline.zoominfo.com/sales/what-is-zoominfo), checked October 16, 2026.*

ZoomInfo's [own explainer](https://pipeline.zoominfo.com/sales/what-is-zoominfo) lists these products:

| Product | Built for | What it does |
| --- | --- | --- |
| ZoomInfo Sales | Reps and sales leaders | Contact and company search, exports, intent signals, website visitors, CRM sync |
| ZoomInfo Marketing | Demand and ABM teams | Intent-based audiences, display and social ads, form and site tools |
| ZoomInfo Operations | RevOps and data teams | Deduplicating, cleansing and enriching CRM records |
| ZoomInfo Talent | Recruiters | Candidate search, outreach and ATS integration |
| GTM Workspace | Sellers | AI agents for account research, meeting prep and deal priorities |
| GTM Studio | RevOps and GTM engineers | List building, enrichment and automated sales plays |
| GTM.AI | Developers and AI agents | API, command line and MCP access to the data |
| Chorus | Sales teams | Conversation intelligence for calls, meetings and emails |
| Data as a Service | Data teams | Delivers the data to a warehouse such as Snowflake or Databricks |
| ZoomInfo Lite | Individuals | A free tier with a small monthly credit allowance |

The names are still moving. ZoomInfo's [pricing page](https://www.zoominfo.com/pricing) on October 16, 2026 still sold Professional, Copilot Advanced and Copilot Enterprise packages for sales. Its explainer says Copilot is no longer a standalone product and became the agent layer inside GTM Workspace, which launched in October 2025. If a quote uses an older name, ask which current product it maps to. For ZoomInfo's AI agent connector, read our [ZoomInfo MCP guide](https://enrich.chat/blog/zoominfo-mcp/).

### How do ZoomInfo credits work?

A ZoomInfo credit is spent when you export one contact or company profile. The [pricing page FAQ](https://www.zoominfo.com/pricing) says this covers exports to a CSV file, to a CRM, through the ReachOut Chrome extension, or by an API call. Searching does not use credits. Exporting 50 profiles uses 50.

Each package includes a set number of monthly credits. The same FAQ says CRM integrations usually carry a base cost and a minimum purchase of bulk credits, and that you can buy more if you use more than planned.

## How does ZoomInfo get its data?

ZoomInfo says it builds its database from public web pages, data partners and a network of professionals who share their own contacts. Its [data sources page](https://www.zoominfo.com/b2b/data-sources) names four inputs:

- **Public information.** Automated tools review company sites, press releases, news, SEC filings and job postings on over 28 million sites and domains a day. ZoomInfo says they do not try to bypass password restrictions or CAPTCHAs.
- **Data partners.** Partners supply items such as job postings and anonymized web traffic by company IP address, which feeds its intent product.
- **A contributory community.** More than 200,000 business professionals use Lite and provide business contact details in exchange for free access. Many customers join other data-sharing programs.
- **A research team.** An in-house team works to improve the database.

The 10-K adds that a team of research analysts and data scientists flags anomalies and fills gaps, and that ZoomInfo can give a contractual guarantee of accuracy for certain data points. It gives no total number of records. [Vendr's explainer](https://www.vendr.com/blog/what-is-zoominfo) lists the same kinds of inputs: web crawling, data partnerships and user contributions.

ZoomInfo does publish size claims on its [explainer page](https://pipeline.zoominfo.com/sales/what-is-zoominfo). Treat them as marketing, not audited figures.

| ZoomInfo's own claim | Figure |
| --- | --- |
| Contact profiles | 500M |
| Company profiles | 100M |
| Verified phone numbers | 135M+, of which 120M+ are direct dials |
| Verified business emails | 200M+ |
| Human researchers | 300+ |

No data vendor's database stays current on its own, because people change jobs. Our guide to [B2B data decay](https://enrich.chat/blog/b2b-data-decay/) explains how fast, and what to check before you send.

## Who uses ZoomInfo, and who is it built for?

ZoomInfo is built for larger B2B revenue teams. At the end of 2025, 1,921 customers paid $100,000 or more a year, and customers at that level made up over half of total annual contract value, per the [10-K](https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1794515/000179451526000012/zi-20251231.htm). Software companies were 32% of contract value. In June 2025 ZoomInfo cut about 6% of its staff to support what it calls a move upmarket.

Inside a company, ZoomInfo's [explainer](https://pipeline.zoominfo.com/sales/what-is-zoominfo) names these users:

- **SDRs and BDRs** build lists and run outreach.
- **Account executives** research accounts and buying committees.
- **Marketers** build audiences and run account-based campaigns.
- **RevOps teams** clean, deduplicate and enrich CRM data.
- **Recruiters** source passive candidates.
- **Developers** use GTM.AI to feed data to apps and agents.

The same explainer says ZoomInfo is a weaker fit for consumer marketing. It also says a solo founder who needs a handful of emails a month may do better with the free Lite plan. Teams that sell almost only into one European country may want to test a regional specialist first. Our [ZoomInfo vs Cognism](https://enrich.chat/compare/zoominfo-vs-cognism/) comparison covers that case.

## How much does ZoomInfo cost, and what do you sign?

ZoomInfo publishes no price for its platform. Its [pricing guide](https://pipeline.zoominfo.com/sales/how-much-does-zoominfo-cost), updated July 7, 2026, says paid plans are billed annually and monthly billing is not standard. Prices come from a sales quote, so the numbers below are list prices ZoomInfo posts elsewhere or what buyers report. We checked each on October 16, 2026. Figure 2 puts them on one scale.

| Price point, Oct 16, 2026 | Amount | Basis |
| --- | --- | --- |
| ZoomInfo Lite | $0, 10 credits a month | [ZoomInfo pricing guide](https://pipeline.zoominfo.com/sales/how-much-does-zoominfo-cost) |
| Sales Basic: 1 user, 2,000 bulk credits | $3,000 for 12 months | List price, [AWS Marketplace](https://aws.amazon.com/marketplace/pp/prodview-ckg6rmyo3zsmw) |
| Median contract | $33,500 a year | Buyer data, [Vendr](https://www.vendr.com/marketplace/zoominfo), 1,577 purchases |
| Contract range | $7,240 to $156,042 a year | Buyer data, [Vendr](https://www.vendr.com/marketplace/zoominfo) |
| ZoomInfo Sales platform | $34,995 for 12 months | List price, [AWS Marketplace](https://aws.amazon.com/marketplace/pp/prodview-u52tqtal5ejbu) |
| ZoomInfo Marketing, ABM Pro+ | $69,995 for 12 months | List price, [AWS Marketplace](https://aws.amazon.com/marketplace/pp/prodview-u52tqtal5ejbu) |
| GTM AI data credits | $0.38 each at the $1,000 spend tier | Published, [GTM AI](https://gtm.ai/pricing) |

**Figure 2: ZoomInfo yearly price points on one scale.** Bar chart of yearly ZoomInfo price points checked October 16, 2026. ZoomInfo Lite is free. Sales Basic for one user lists at $3,000 on AWS Marketplace. Vendr's buyer data shows a low of $7,240, a median of $33,500 and a high of $156,042. ZoomInfo Marketing ABM Pro+ lists at $69,995.

*ZoomInfo's yearly price points on one scale. Blue bars are list prices on AWS Marketplace, grey bars are what buyers reported to Vendr, and the dark bar is Vendr's median. Contracts differ in seats, credits and add-ons, so they are not like for like. Sources: [Vendr](https://www.vendr.com/marketplace/zoominfo), [AWS Marketplace](https://aws.amazon.com/marketplace/pp/prodview-u52tqtal5ejbu), [AWS Marketplace, Sales Basic](https://aws.amazon.com/marketplace/pp/prodview-ckg6rmyo3zsmw), checked October 16, 2026.*

Even the ballparks disagree. Vendr's marketplace page, updated in February 2026, shows the $33,500 median. Vendr's explainer cites a $54,000 median average contract value and a 38-day buying cycle. ZoomInfo's home page also says teams pay for credits they use rather than fixed seat tiers, while its pricing page lists licenses and credit usage as price drivers and its 10-K says it prices by functionality, users and records under management. For quote drivers and negotiation tips, read our [ZoomInfo pricing guide](https://enrich.chat/blog/zoominfo-pricing/).

### What does a ZoomInfo contract look like?

A ZoomInfo contract typically runs one to three years and cannot be canceled early. The [10-K](https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1794515/000179451526000012/zi-20251231.htm) says subscription contracts typically have a term of one to three years and are non-cancelable. ZoomInfo bills in advance, yearly, twice a year or quarterly. About 53% of customer contracts, by annualized value, are multi-year.

[Vendr reports](https://www.vendr.com/marketplace/zoominfo) that auto-renewal is common, that notice periods typically run 30 to 90 days, and that price increases of 5% to 10% a year are common. Ask for the renewal clause before you sign. ZoomInfo's two [AWS Marketplace listings](https://aws.amazon.com/marketplace/pp/prodview-u52tqtal5ejbu) state that it does not support refunds. A [free trial](https://www.zoominfo.com/free-trial) typically lasts 7 days and needs no credit card.

## Is ZoomInfo worth it? What do users say?

ZoomInfo is worth it for teams that use its signals every day. It is harder to justify for contact lookups alone. Reviewers rate the product well and mark it down on cost.

- **Ratings.** The main [AWS Marketplace listing](https://aws.amazon.com/marketplace/pp/prodview-u52tqtal5ejbu) showed 4.5 out of 5 from 8,521 ratings on October 16, 2026, and 72% gave five stars. Nearly all come from G2 and PeerSpot.
- **Cost.** AWS's AI-written summary of 500 reviews marks functionality and ease of use as positive and cost effectiveness as negative.
- **Data.** A G2 review from October 9, 2026, shown on the same listing, praises the contact data and the lead builder. It calls company data a weak spot, and says intent and website-visitor signals rarely led to useful opportunities. A review on the [Sales Basic listing](https://aws.amazon.com/marketplace/pp/prodview-ckg6rmyo3zsmw) notes occasional outdated contacts and says it still verifies before outreach.
- **Retention.** The 10-K puts net revenue retention at 90% for 2025 and 87% for 2024. Under 100% means existing customers spent less in total than a year earlier. ZoomInfo expects larger customers to retain better.

Every dataset has gaps, so test any vendor on your own target list before you sign. ZoomInfo's own [explainer](https://pipeline.zoominfo.com/sales/what-is-zoominfo) tells buyers to test match rates on their own target accounts and regions, not on headline totals. Our [firmographic data guide](https://enrich.chat/blog/firmographic-data/) shows which company fields to check first.

## Is ZoomInfo legit, and how do you remove your information?

Yes, ZoomInfo is a real company that files reports with the SEC. It is also a data broker. Its [Trust Center](https://www.zoominfo.com/privacy-center) says so under Texas law. If your details are in its database, you can ask for removal.

ZoomInfo says it covers professionals in their business capacity, notifies them by business email when it adds them, and relies on legitimate interest for GDPR, per its [explainer](https://pipeline.zoominfo.com/sales/what-is-zoominfo). To remove yourself, use the Request Removal link on its [Your Privacy page](https://www.zoominfo.com/privacy-center/your-privacy). The page says that:

- Once the request is processed, your profile no longer appears in ZoomInfo's products.
- ZoomInfo may keep limited information to honor the request and to help prevent your details from being added again.
- Removing a person's profile does not remove business or company information.
- If your jurisdiction allows it, the request also counts as an opt-out of sale or sharing.

This is general information, not legal advice. If you plan to call mobile numbers from any data vendor, read our [TCPA and B2B cold calling](https://enrich.chat/blog/tcpa-b2b-cold-calling/) guide.

If you share your inbox with ZoomInfo Lite to earn extra credits, you share your contacts too. Our [is ZoomInfo free](https://enrich.chat/blog/is-zoominfo-free/) guide explains the trade. Anyone can also ask to be removed from Enrich.chat at [enrich.chat/opt-out/](https://enrich.chat/opt-out/).

## What are cheaper routes than ZoomInfo?

The cheapest route depends on the job. Figure 3 matches four common needs to a route, and the table below gives the prices we checked on October 16, 2026.

**Figure 3: Which route fits which job.** Four needs and the route for each. A few contacts a month for one person: ZoomInfo Lite, which is free with 10 credits a month. Reps who use intent signals, org charts and dialing: the ZoomInfo platform, sold by quote on a one to three year term. Reps who want data plus sequences, priced by seat: Apollo, from $49 a seat a month billed yearly. An AI agent or app that needs contact data with no seats: Enrich.chat, on monthly credit plans.

*A starting point for choosing between ZoomInfo and its cheaper routes. Sources: [ZoomInfo pricing guide](https://pipeline.zoominfo.com/sales/how-much-does-zoominfo-cost), [Apollo pricing](https://www.apollo.io/pricing), [Enrich.chat pricing](https://enrich.chat/pricing/).*

| Route | Price (checked October 16, 2026) | The catch |
| --- | --- | --- |
| [ZoomInfo Lite](https://www.zoominfo.com/ce) | $0, 10 credits a month | The 25-credit tier asks you to connect your business email and share contacts |
| [ZoomInfo GTM AI](https://gtm.ai/pricing) | 1,000 data and 1,000 AI credits at signup, then top-ups from $20 | Mobile phone data is listed only under Enterprise |
| [Apollo](https://www.apollo.io/pricing) | Free plan; Basic is $49 per seat per month, billed annually | You pay per seat, and credits are per seat |
| [Enrich.chat](https://enrich.chat/pricing/) | 10 free API lookups a day, then Growth $29 for 100,000 credits, Scale $90 for 500,000 credits, Pro $299 for 2,500,000 credits | No intent data, org charts or outreach tools |

Our [ZoomInfo alternatives](https://enrich.chat/alternatives/zoominfo/) page ranks more options. Head-to-head pages cover [Apollo vs ZoomInfo](https://enrich.chat/compare/apollo-vs-zoominfo/), [ZoomInfo vs Lusha](https://enrich.chat/compare/zoominfo-vs-lusha/) and [Clay vs ZoomInfo](https://enrich.chat/compare/clay-vs-zoominfo/). For a wider list, see the [best B2B data providers](https://enrich.chat/blog/best-b2b-data-providers/).

### When is ZoomInfo the better choice?

ZoomInfo is the better choice when the platform matters more than the price. It fits these cases:

- Your reps work in it daily and will use intent signals, org charts and website-visitor data.
- You want data, outreach, call analysis and CRM sync from one vendor, and can budget a five-figure yearly contract.
- You run account-based marketing, such as audiences and ads built from intent. Our [intent data guide](https://enrich.chat/blog/intent-data/) explains when that pays off.
- You want a vendor that can give a contractual guarantee on some data points, as the 10-K describes.

## How can an AI agent get ZoomInfo-style contacts with Enrich.chat?

If you need contact and company data inside an AI agent or app, not a seat-based platform, Enrich.chat is a plain HTTPS API and MCP server. It returns people, work emails, mobile numbers, company profiles and tech stacks. Your agent reads [enrich.chat/agents.md](https://enrich.chat/agents.md), or you add the MCP server at `https://enrich.chat/mcp`. The [install page](https://enrich.chat/install/) has the steps. No key is needed to start.

The calls map to common ZoomInfo jobs. `/v1/search` finds people from a plain-English description and filters such as title, seniority and company size. `/v1/person` returns a work email and mobile from a LinkedIn URL, an email, or a name and company. `/v1/company` and `/v1/company/tech` return a profile and a tech stack. Each work email comes back with a status of verified, catch_all or unknown. Treat every contact as a strong lead, not a guarantee. Enrich.chat never logs in to LinkedIn.

```text
Use www.enrich.chat to find 10 VPs of Sales at US software companies with 50 to 500 employees. For each one, show the work email and its status, the mobile line type, and the company's tech stack. Mark anyone you cannot find as not found, and tell me the total credits_used.
```

A work email costs 10 credits, a mobile 250, and a tech stack 5. A lookup that finds nothing costs 0 credits. Finding 500 work emails and 100 mobiles uses 30,000 credits, which fits the Growth plan at $29 a month. Every plan has unlimited seats, every product, and no annual contract. See [pricing](https://enrich.chat/pricing/) for the full rates, or try one lookup in the free [LinkedIn email and phone finder](https://enrich.chat/tools/linkedin-email-finder/).

That is not a like-for-like swap for ZoomInfo's platform. Enrich.chat has two honest gaps:

- **No intent data, org charts or scoops.** If you sell on buying signals, ZoomInfo covers more ground.
- **No Chrome extension, dialer or sequencing, and SDKs are only planned.** You call the API or the MCP server. Our [data API for AI agents](https://enrich.chat/agents/) page lists what is included.

## Frequently asked questions

### What does ZoomInfo do?

ZoomInfo sells business contact and company data, such as job titles, work emails, phone numbers, org charts and buying signals, plus software to use it. Sales teams build lead lists with it. Marketers target ads, RevOps teams clean CRM records, and recruiters find candidates. [ZoomInfo's annual report](https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1794515/000179451526000012/zi-20251231.htm) lists Sales, Marketing, Operations and Talent products, plus a free tier called Lite.

### Is ZoomInfo the same as Zoom?

No. [ZoomInfo's own explainer](https://pipeline.zoominfo.com/sales/what-is-zoominfo) says it and Zoom Video Communications are separate companies with no affiliation, shared ownership or product integration. ZoomInfo trades on Nasdaq as GTM and sells B2B data and sales software. Zoom trades as ZM and sells video meetings. The similar names cause frequent confusion, so check which company a sign-in page or an email belongs to.

### Is ZoomInfo a CRM?

No. ZoomInfo is a data and prospecting platform, not a system of record for your customers. It feeds a CRM instead. [ZoomInfo's FAQ](https://pipeline.zoominfo.com/sales/what-is-zoominfo) lists native integrations with Salesforce, HubSpot and Microsoft Dynamics 365, plus more than 120 others. A CRM stores what you know about your deals, and ZoomInfo adds facts about people and companies you do not know yet. Our guide to [CRM data enrichment](https://enrich.chat/blog/crm-data-enrichment/) explains the split.

### How does ZoomInfo get its data?

ZoomInfo says its tools read public web pages, filings and job postings, and that it takes some data from partners. A third source is its contributory network. [ZoomInfo's data sources page](https://www.zoominfo.com/b2b/data-sources) says more than 200,000 professionals use its free Lite tier and share business contacts in return, and many customers join other data-sharing programs. An in-house research team reviews the records.

### How do I remove my information from ZoomInfo?

Use the Request Removal link in [ZoomInfo's Trust Center](https://www.zoominfo.com/privacy-center/your-privacy). Once processed, your profile no longer appears in its products. ZoomInfo may keep limited information to honor your request and to help prevent you from being added again. Removing a person's profile does not remove company information. Covered persons under certain state laws can use an expedited email route listed on that page.

### Is ZoomInfo worth the cost?

For large teams that use its intent signals, org charts and CRM sync every day, many buyers say yes. [AWS Marketplace](https://aws.amazon.com/marketplace/pp/prodview-u52tqtal5ejbu) shows 4.5 out of 5 from 8,521 ratings, though its review summary marks cost effectiveness as negative. For contact lookups alone, cheaper routes exist, such as ZoomInfo Lite, Apollo, or a credit-plan API like [Enrich.chat](https://enrich.chat/pricing/).
