# Team workspaces: shared lead lists and one credit pool for your sales team

Invite teammates by email and pick a role for each. Everyone works from the same lists, saved searches and revealed contacts, and the owner's plan pays for all of it.

By Enrich.chat Editorial. Updated October 19, 2026.

**Short answer:** Enrich.chat team workspaces let the owner of a plan invite teammates by email and give each one a role: owner, admin, member or viewer. The whole team shares lists, saved searches, revealed contacts and one do-not-contact list, and the owner's plan pays for everyone from one credit pool. There is no extra charge per seat.

## Key takeaways

- Four roles: owner, admin, member and viewer. Owners and admins manage people, members do the work, and viewers can only look.
- Lists, saved searches, revealed contacts and the do-not-contact list are shared by everyone on the team. A contact one person reveals is open to all.
- The owner's plan pays for everyone from one credit pool. A new teammate adds no seat fee, only the credits they use.
- There is no SSO or SAML and no per-person credit limit, and a person belongs to one team at a time.

## One plan, shared work, clear roles

- **Four roles.** Owner, admin, member and viewer. Owners and admins manage people, members do the work, viewers only look.
- **Shared lists and searches.** Everyone on the team sees the same lists, tags, notes and saved searches.
- **One credit pool.** The owner's plan pays for everyone. A new teammate adds no seat fee, only the credits they use.
- **One do-not-contact list.** Add an opt-out once and the person is left out of the team's exports.
- **Invite by email.** Enter an address and pick a role. They join when they log in with it. No password.
- **Viewers cannot spend.** A viewer can look at lists but cannot change anything or use the plan's credits.

## From one plan to a working team

1. **Create the team.** The plan owner opens Team in the dashboard and names the team.
2. **Invite people.** Enter an email and pick admin, member or viewer. They join when they log in with that address.
3. **Work from the same lists.** Everyone searches, reveals and saves to shared lists. One plan pays for it.

## How do team workspaces work in Enrich.chat?

A team workspace in Enrich.chat is one account that several people share. The owner of a paid plan opens Team in the [dashboard](https://enrich.chat/app/), names the team and invites people by email. Each person joins the first time they log in with that address, using a 6-digit code and no password.

The owner's plan and credits pay for everyone, so a teammate does not buy a plan. Every paid plan includes teams, and none charges per seat. A person is in one team at a time. Teams are one part of the [Enrich.chat platform](https://enrich.chat/platform/), and the [pricing page](https://enrich.chat/pricing/) lists the plans.

**Figure 1: The Team screen in the dashboard.** A drawing of the Team screen for a team called Pier Sales. An invite box takes an email address and a role. A members table lists five people: an owner, an admin, two members and a viewer who has been invited but has not joined yet. A dark panel on the right says the team shares lists, saved searches, revealed contacts and the do-not-contact list, and that all spending comes from one credit balance on the owner's plan.

*The Team screen in the [dashboard](https://enrich.chat/app/): the invite box, the members with their roles and status, and what the team shares. The dark panel stands for the note at the top of the real screen. Names and addresses are made up.*

The Team screen has three parts. The invite box takes an email address and a role. The members table shows each person's role and status, active or invited. A note at the top says what the team shares. Owners and admins also get a Remove button on each row.

## What can an owner, admin, member and viewer do?

Enrich.chat has four fixed roles. Owners and admins manage people, members do the daily work, and viewers can only look. You pick a role when you invite someone, and an owner or admin can change it later.

| Role | Can do | Cannot do |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Owner | Everything, including the plan and billing. Adds and removes admins. Deletes the team. | Leave the team. The owner deletes it instead. |
| Admin | Everything a member can do, plus manages people and keys: invites members and viewers, changes roles, removes people. | Change the plan or billing. Add, change or remove another admin. |
| Member | Search, reveal contacts, build lists, add tags and notes, save searches, run background jobs. | Invite or remove people. Change billing. |
| Viewer | Read lists and saved searches. Use the free allowance. | Change anything. Spend plan credits. Create API keys. |

Only the owner changes the plan. A viewer who tries to change something sees a message that viewers can only look. A viewer's lookups use the free allowance, never the plan's credits.

## What does the whole team share?

Four things are shared by everyone on the team: lists, saved searches, revealed contacts and the do-not-contact list.

- **Lists.** Everyone sees the same lists, tags and notes. A [list](https://enrich.chat/features/lists-and-export/) exports as a CSV or an Excel file from the dashboard.
- **Saved searches.** One person sets the filters and the team runs the same search.
- **Revealed contacts.** Once one person reveals a work email or a mobile, everyone on the team sees it. Two reps never pay for the same email.
- **The do-not-contact list.** An entry added by one person applies to the team. The [do-not-contact page](https://enrich.chat/features/do-not-contact/) shows where it applies.

**Figure 2: A contact is revealed once and seen by the whole team.** Three steps. Ana, a member, reveals Mira Sandoval's work email in search and it uses 10 credits. Lee, a member, opens the same contact from the shared list and it uses 0 credits because it was already revealed. Priya, the owner, exports the list as a CSV file, which uses 0 credits and leaves out do-not-contact entries.

*One reveal, three teammates. The people and addresses are made up. Source: the [lists and export](https://enrich.chat/features/lists-and-export/) rules and the Team screen in the dashboard.*

Reveals are where credits go, so sharing matters most there. In the example, Ana pays 10 credits once for Mira's work email. Lee and Priya see the same email without paying again.

Background jobs draw on the same pool. A member can start a [background job](https://enrich.chat/features/background-jobs/) of up to 5,000 rows from Bulk enrich. It keeps running after the tab closes, spends the team's credits as each lookup runs, and stops by itself when they run out.

## How does one plan pay for the whole team?

The team owner's plan holds one balance of credits, and everyone except viewers spends from it. That covers the dashboard, API keys and AI apps connected with an Enrich.chat login through [OAuth](https://enrich.chat/features/mcp-server/). A work email found uses 10 credits, a mobile uses 250, each person shown in a search uses 5, and anything not found uses 0.

Here is a worked month. Priya owns the plan, Sam is an admin, Lee and Ana are members, and Omar is a viewer. Between them they show 1,700 people in search, which uses 8,500 credits. They reveal 1,100 work emails for 11,000 credits and 20 mobiles for 5,000. The total is 24,500 credits. That fits the Growth plan at $29 a month. Omar spends nothing, and a sixth person would add no seat fee, only the credits they use.

**Figure 3: Five people, one credit pool.** Four people spend credits in one month: Priya the owner 2,000 credits, Sam the admin 6,000 credits, Lee a member 9,500 credits and Ana a member 7,000 credits. Omar, a viewer, spends none and uses the free allowance only. All four flow into one credit pool on the owner's plan, which totals 24,500 credits and fits the Growth plan.

*A worked month for a team of five on a plan. The people and the amounts are illustrative, and the credit costs are the public ones on the [pricing page](https://enrich.chat/pricing/). The bar shows the pool against the Growth plan's credits.*

The pool is shared in both directions. If one person uses most of it, the others have less. When the credits run out, lookups return a `credits_exhausted` error for everyone until the plan renews, and background jobs stop by themselves. Credits renew with each monthly payment, and unused credits do not roll over.

To check the balance, call `GET /v1/usage` with a teammate's key. With a key it returns the plan's credits instead of free lookups, which for a teammate means the team's pool. The [API page](https://enrich.chat/features/api/) lists the other endpoints.

## Why use roles and a shared do-not-contact list?

Roles keep access to contact data small, and a shared do-not-contact list stops one person's opt-out from being missed by the rest. This is general information, not legal advice.

**Least privilege.** NIST's glossary defines [least privilege](https://csrc.nist.gov/glossary/term/least_privilege) as giving each user only the access needed for their assigned work. OWASP's [Authorization Cheat Sheet](https://cheatsheetseries.owasp.org/cheatsheets/Authorization_Cheat_Sheet.html) makes the same point and adds that an application should deny access by default. NIST's page on [role-based access control](https://csrc.nist.gov/projects/role-based-access-control) says roles follow how an organization is built and cost less to manage than access set person by person. In Enrich.chat, that means few admins, members for people who reveal contacts, and viewers for anyone who only reads.

**Work emails are personal data.** The UK ICO says a work email that names a person is [personal data](https://ico.org.uk/for-organisations/direct-marketing-and-privacy-and-electronic-communications/business-to-business-marketing/). Its [data security guide](https://ico.org.uk/for-organisations/uk-gdpr-guidance-and-resources/security/a-guide-to-data-security/) says personal data should be handled only by people you authorise, and that risk depends on how many staff have access. Article 32(4) of the [GDPR](https://eur-lex.europa.eu/legal-content/EN/TXT/?uri=CELEX:32016R0679) adds that anyone acting under your authority who has access to personal data should process it only on your instructions.

**One opt-out list for the whole team.** The ICO says people who object to direct marketing belong on a do-not-contact or suppression list, and that you should screen new lists against it. GDPR Article 21 lets a person object to direct marketing at any time. In the US, the FTC's [CAN-SPAM guide](https://www.ftc.gov/business-guidance/resources/can-spam-act-compliance-guide-business) says to honor an opt-out request within 10 business days and that the law makes no exception for business-to-business email. If one rep gets a "stop emailing me" reply and adds it to the team's list once, every teammate's exports leave that person out. Enrich.chat does not send email, so honoring an opt-out in your sending tool is still your job.

None of this makes your outreach compliant by itself. You decide who you contact and why. See our [terms](https://enrich.chat/terms/).

## What are the limits of team workspaces?

Teams cover sharing and billing, not everything a large company may need. These are the gaps to know first.

- **No SSO, SAML or SCIM.** People log in with an email address and a 6-digit code.
- **No per-person credit limits.** The pool is shared, so one person can use most of it. The viewer role is the way to stop someone spending.
- **No audit log for admins.** Admins cannot see a history of who searched, revealed or exported what.
- **One team at a time.** A person leaves a team before joining another. The owner cannot leave: deleting the team ends everyone's access, and the shared lists stay with the owner's account.
- **Four fixed roles.** You cannot define your own.
- **Set up in the dashboard.** The public API has no team endpoints, so an agent cannot invite people.
- **No sending and no CRM sync.** To share a list with another tool, export it as a CSV or an Excel file and import it there.

### When is another tool the better choice?

Pick a tool built for large organizations if you need single sign-on, per-person credit budgets or an audit trail today. Pick a CRM if reps need shared deal stages, because Enrich.chat does not manage a pipeline or send email. A small sales team, an agency or a recruiting group that wants one set of lists and one bill is the fit. Try the free [lead list builder](https://enrich.chat/tools/lead-list-builder/) first, then read about [sales prospecting](https://enrich.chat/use-cases/sales-prospecting/), and use the [install page](https://enrich.chat/install/) to connect your AI app.

## Frequently asked questions

### Can a sales team share lead lists in Enrich.chat?

Yes. The owner of a paid plan creates a team on the Team screen of the dashboard and invites people by email. Lists, saved searches, revealed contacts and the do-not-contact list are shared by everyone on the team, and the owner's plan pays for all of it. See [lists and export](https://enrich.chat/features/lists-and-export/) for how lists, tags, notes and exports work.

### Do I pay per user for an Enrich.chat team?

No. Teams have no seat fees. The owner's plan holds one pool of credits, and everyone except viewers spends from it, so a new teammate adds only the credits they use. A work email found uses 10 credits and a mobile uses 250, whoever asks. The [pricing page](https://enrich.chat/pricing/) lists the plans.

### What is the difference between an admin and a member in Enrich.chat?

An admin does everything a member does and also manages people and keys: invites members and viewers, changes roles and removes people. A member searches, reveals contacts, builds lists and runs jobs but cannot manage people. Neither can change the plan or billing, which stays with the owner. Only the owner can add or remove an admin.

### Can I set a credit limit for each teammate?

No. An Enrich.chat team has one shared credit pool and no per-person limits, so one heavy user can use most of it. To stop someone from spending, give them the viewer role, which can look at lists but cannot use plan credits. Calling GET /v1/usage with a teammate's key returns the credits left in the pool.

### Does Enrich.chat support SSO or SAML for teams?

No. Enrich.chat has no SSO, SAML or SCIM today. Each person logs in with their email address and a 6-digit code, with no password, and joins a team by logging in with the address that was invited. If your security review needs single sign-on, Enrich.chat teams are not the right fit today.

### Can someone be in two teams, and what happens when they leave?

A person is in one team at a time, so they leave the first team before joining another. Someone who leaves or is removed goes back to their own workspace and loses access to the team's lists and plan at once. The owner cannot leave. Deleting the team ends everyone's access, and the shared lists stay with the owner's account.
