## How does a search go from a free count to a CSV?

A job runs in five steps: count, search, reveal, save and export. The count is free, a search uses credits for each row it shows, and a reveal uses credits only when a contact is found.

1. **Count.** Describe who you want or set filters, from job title to skills, funding and technology. The number of matches updates as you edit, and it costs nothing.
2. **Search.** Press Search to see name, title, company, level and country, and whether an email and a mobile are on file. Results come best first. A row shown uses 5 credits on a plan.
3. **Reveal.** Open the email (10 credits) or the mobile (250 credits) for the people you pick. If nothing is found, nothing is used.
4. **Save.** Add people to a list with a tag and a note. Revealed contacts stay in your account, and your team sees them too, so opening them again is free.
5. **Export.** Download this page of results, the rows you selected, or up to 1,000 results from one search as CSV or Excel.

## How do you run the same job from the API or an AI agent?

The first three steps are three GET requests, or one sentence to an agent connected over MCP, and both use the same credits as the dashboard.

`credits_used` shows what the call used, and on the free tier nothing is charged while `free_lookups_remaining` counts down from 10. `work_email.status` is verified, catch_all or unknown, and a catch_all domain accepts every address, so the mailbox cannot be confirmed.

### Which MCP address should you use?

The MCP server has two addresses. `https://enrich.chat/mcp` needs no sign-in and gives 10 free lookups a day. `https://enrich.chat/mcp/oauth` signs you in with your Enrich.chat account, so the app uses your plan's credits. You can disconnect an app at any time in the dashboard under [Connect an agent](https://enrich.chat/app/#/agent). Per-app steps are on the [install page](https://enrich.chat/install/).

The OAuth address uses OAuth 2.1 with PKCE and dynamic client registration. The [MCP authorization specification](https://modelcontextprotocol.io/specification/2026-07-28/basic/authorization) builds on OAuth 2.1, where [PKCE](https://www.rfc-editor.org/rfc/rfc7636.html) protects the authorization code. It describes [dynamic client registration](https://www.rfc-editor.org/rfc/rfc7591.html) as the way an app gets a client ID without a manual step, and its current version keeps that method for backwards compatibility. ## What do team workspaces, background jobs and match tiers add?

Three features take the platform past one person at one screen: teams that share lists and credits, bulk jobs that run on the server, and searches that rank people by fit. Each has its own page.

### How do team workspaces work?

The owner of a plan invites people by email at [Team](https://enrich.chat/app/#/team) in the dashboard. An invited person logs in with that email and joins, with no password. Lists, saved searches, revealed contacts and the Do not contact list are shared by the whole team, and the owner's plan and credits pay for everyone from one credit pool. Plans have unlimited seats, and a person is in one team at a time.

### What is a background job?

In Bulk enrich, choose Run it on the server and the job keeps running after you close the tab or the laptop. A job takes up to 5,000 rows. It finds work emails, enriches people, finds mobile numbers, enriches companies, gets tech stacks or gets email formats, and it spends credits as each lookup runs at the same prices as a single lookup. A row that finds nothing is free, and the job stops by itself when credits or free lookups run out.

Follow jobs at [Jobs](https://enrich.chat/app/#/jobs) and download results as CSV within 30 days. Developers can start one with `POST /v1/jobs` and register a signed webhook, so your app is told when the job finishes. The browser-tab run still exists for people who prefer it. ### What are match tiers?

Match tiers let you give up to five searches, strictest first: the exact title, then a wider title, then the wider industry. Each person comes back once, labelled with the first tier that matched and a score. The dashboard has a Match tiers mode on People search, and `POST /v1/search/cascade` does the same over the API. ## What are the limits of the Enrich.chat platform?

Enrich.chat finds and exports contacts but does not run outreach, so plan around these limits:

- There is no Chrome extension. Enrich.chat does not send email, run sequences or dial. Export a CSV into the tool you send from.
- There are no alerts or tracking.
- There is no SSO or SAML, and no per-person credit limits: a team shares one credit pool.
- A background job holds at most 5,000 rows, results are kept for 30 days, and webhooks announce finished jobs only.
- One search returns at most 1,000 results. Narrow the filters to go deeper.
- Company lookups take a website, not a company name, and revenue is a band, not an exact figure.

### What about privacy and compliance?

Anyone can opt out at [enrich.chat/opt-out/](https://enrich.chat/opt-out/), and opt-outs are applied to every result. Your team's [do-not-contact list](https://enrich.chat/features/do-not-contact/) leaves emails, company websites and LinkedIn profiles out of every list export.

You are still responsible for the laws that apply to your outreach. The FTC's [CAN-SPAM guide](https://www.ftc.gov/business-guidance/resources/can-spam-act-compliance-guide-business) says to honor an opt-out request within 10 business days. ### Does Enrich.chat send emails or run sequences?

No. Enrich.chat finds people and contact details. It does not send email, run sequences or dial, and it has no Chrome extension. Export a list as CSV and load it into the tool you send from. You are responsible for the laws that apply to your outreach, such as CAN-SPAM, GDPR and TCPA.

### How do I keep people out of my lists?

Add their email, company website or LinkedIn profile to the Do not contact list in the dashboard. Your whole team shares it, and matches are left out of every list export and background job.
